Beach! Pool! Fun Under The Sun!

POOL! POOL! IT ALL ABOUT A POOL! This absolutely lovely condo complex is the newest on North Padre Island. Not only is it a luxury complex but it is as close to the beach as you can get! It is contemporary, tropical, upscale and in as good of location as you would ever hope to find on North Padre Island.
This first floor only complex makes for a perfect vacation location. The unit comes complete with stainless appliances, WiFi, a spacious interior including extra high ceilings and parking right at the front door!
There are a lot of condo complexes that claim to be within walking distance of the beach....this one truly is. The north Padre Island beach is only one block away. After a day in the sun at the beach you'll come back to one of the nicest over-sized tropical pools on the Island complete with plenty of lounge chairs, BBQ pits, tables and umbrellas. Perfect for relaxation in the evening or an early morning swim. It is also one of the very few heated pools for those folks visiting the coast during the winter months.
I have had many inquiries as to nearby golf courses. For those that want a challenging Island style course there is Palmilla Country club also 15 minutes away just outside of Port Aransas. Just a mile or so down the road is the Bob hall pier for fishing, dining or just viewing the Gulf of Mexico. There is horse back riding on the beach right next door to the pier.
There are many great restaurants just a mile or so away if cooking at home is not on the agenda.
Speaking of cooking at home, the unit comes with all of your culinary needs from standard spices to all new high end dishes, pots and pans as well as wine glasses.
All new linens, towels, soap and shampoo is provided. The unit provides a new washer and dryer and a king size bed that features a super comfortable mattress unlike what you would find in a hotel.
Please remember though to bring your own beach towels.

Great Condo

We did a quick winter getaway and loved our stay. The condo was exactly as advertised. The pools were heated which was great as the weather was quite cold. The beach was a little farther away than I would have liked, too far to walk with small kids. But we were able to put everything in the car and drive right onto the beach, so it wasn't a problem. Would definitely stay again!

Great location – Close to the beach

The condo is at less than 5 minutes’ walk to the beach and the pool is great. The owner was quick to respond to an unpleasant issue we had on arrival. We stayed for a longer period (63 nights) which was long for the area. The condo requires to be updated and cleaned throughout. The pictures are almost what’s in the unit but the furniture has had much better days and the couches are very uncomfortable. Only the bed was comfortable. Even the outside furniture was unusable (dirty and/or broken).

Wonderful pool and location for our first trip to Padre Island. Condo lovely but a few suggestions!

This condo has the very minimum supplies. New refrigerator with icemaker delivered at the end of our stay very Nice! Other items that would be great additions are: Hot pads/mitts, more that one kitchen towel and dishcloth, a steamer basket or insert for the large pot. A small notebook with specifics re: instructions starting the TVs, using the clothes washer, dishwasher, new refrigerator with icemaker etc. Also local requirements re: Beach pass, fishing, seafood markets, etc would be an appreciated bonus for anyone new to the island! Lights in bathroom and stove hood need to be replaced.

Locked out for 3 hours

After following the check-in instructions and getting the key out of the lockbox for the door handle, we looked up and saw an electronic keypad with a locked deadbolt and absolutely no instructions for it. After repeatedly calling and texting the owner with only one response ("Can I call you back later") for over 3 hours (I was locked out with my very young children), my husband called from another number where the owner answered immediately and gave us the code. Once inside, the place stunk strongly of smoke (despite signs against it). If you have asthma: go somewhere else!!!! My allergies were awful every minute I was in the place and fine outside. Then once I got home, I unpacked and all my clothes smelled gross and my allergies flared up again. Be aware the wi-fi password is not "sammer" but summer. This owner needs to pass off management to a 3rd party. I liked the layout, the location, and the amenities of the complex were awesome. I would stay in the complex again but not in this unit. I was livid at the treatment I received and let Homeaway know about our issues. No contact or effort was ever made by the owner to make any sort of apology or mitigate the frustration we experienced. Very disappointing.

Thank you for your scammer review. I am glad to hear from you. First of all I deal before with people like you trying to bully and scam to staying for free. In a beginning of your reservation you already start with asking of discussant and I gave you $100 less from the rental price. First of all if you was locked out why wait 3 hours to call from other phone number?? Second of all why stay 4 days in so bad place with a torture yourself and not call or email to me with any complain of the smell or any other issues you have. Why did you not left?? Why did you start complain after and not during your stay?? Third of all this unit non smoking and no pet friendly that I have a description in VRBO and in front of the unit. BTW during the summer in my unit was staying a VRBO management and was highly satisfied and recommended my place. You are welcome to read all my pass reviews for this unit. P.S. Time to Time we all have a scammers in our type of business who is traveling and want to stay for free with bulling and promising to live a bad reviews if no refund of money. That family one of them!!!!!!

Although condo and property itself was great the response time from the owner when there was a problem was very disappointing. Voice mail was always full and her replies to email were sometimes 3 - 4 days and at times I needed to send 2nd email to get a reply. We had problems getting into condo as we were never given the code to get into the front door. Very frustrating and ended up calling VBRO for help as owner was not available. The WIFI code we were given was wrong and it took 2 days for her to correct. We had the code she gave us in writing as well as it being written down at the condo was wrong. There were some major issues with the televisions and it took 3 days for her to make arrangements to fix and then I had to stay at Condo to allow the repair service in. I had issue with air vent being filthy and although promised it would be looked at more than once, it never was changed and I had to change myself. it was unbelievable how someone would allow this to be left for so long .... it was over 1/2 inch thick with black dust. This was the intake air, we never changed or looked into the outtake, but I imagine there would be the same problem. We lived here for 6 weeks so the above issues were important to us. I did end up getting quite sick with lung issues and had to visit medical clinic 4 times and do believe that the air vent had something to do with it. We would not rent this unit again.

Summer fun

The owner is very nice and quick to respond to inquiries. We were there for a week with our grandsons, the boys loved the bunk beds. Love the location. Great pool. Unit has everything you need. Having a washer and dryer was great! We would definitely recommend to other and can't wait to stay here again.

Great location and easy access to pool and beach. One of the tv remotes doesn’t work so had to use the one from the bedroom to control both TVs…not a big deal. I would recommend bring your own pots the pots in the unit are old and are not non-stick. Plenty of towels and toilet paper which was appreciated. Living room light doesn’t work but plenty of lights in the room and didn’t need anyways. I think they need to skim the pools more often I feel like the pools were just a tad dirty. Overall we love this property and have stayed at different units and will be coming back.

Short walk to beach

We loved our stay here! Perfect location to the beach, had all the amenities we needed except coffee filters and paper towels. Small items we were able to get, but definitely thought would have been available. We also could not figure out how to work the TV. There was a trouble shooting guide but it didn’t work. No biggie bc we weren’t there to watch tv and stay inside. But it would have been nice in the evenings while getting the kids settled. Access to a washer and dryer was nice! Overall would 10/10 recommend.

Everything was great just a few things

I rented this property for myself husband and 4 kids. When we arrived it was not cleaned on time. No problem… the owner responded immediately about the issue and assured me that someone was coming to clean it. When we came back from the beach around 6-7pm the lady was still there cleaning. When she was leaving she was taking the linens for the bunk beds and said she did not have blankets for them just sheets. I just asked her to leave the dirty ones and I’ll wash them because they need blankets. The Murphy bed was broken and had no support under the mattress so I had to have the mattress put on the floor. Other than that the stay was very good and my family and I had a great time and enjoyed our little mini vacation rental!

Place was great in a very good location. Only a few small things keep me from giving it 5 stars. The main light on the living room wouldn't stay on. It would flash on then immediately turn off. Plenty of other light though. Also, only given 2 trash bags. A family of 5 for five days needs more. Also only two rolls of toilet paper. Overall, it was a great stay.

I love this location of this property but this unit itself needs some TLC. Several things Were broken/dirty. Light in the living room had a short and would not work, broke blinds (my husband fixed so they could be closed at night), door on the freezer was off and just laying on top of the fridge, filthy shower curtain and rusty rod, tv remotes in the bedroom did not work, dog poop by the front door on the turf, swimsuits/towels on the porch from the last renters…..We will always come back to these townhomes but I would not stay at this unit ever again.

Condo was clean and big enough for our family of four. Super close to the beach we were able to walk to the beach at night and in the morning. Condo has a couple pools as well as a playground. Numerous grills on site would definitely stay here again!
