The Quarry Retreat is a uniquely private resort style residence situated on 20 acres in the most beautiful Martinsville Valley, only 2 hours north of the Sydney CBD and 25 minutes from the Hunter Valley.

The Quarry Retreat provides luxurious, private holiday accommodation surrounded by wonderful gardens and spectacular views of the countryside and private lake.

The property offers everything your heart, family and friends could desire.

And only 30 mins away from the beautiful Hunter Valley and wineries.

The facilities at the Quarry Retreat will ensure your stay is as restful, romantic or active as you seek.

Perfectly suited for two families of four split over two levels. The property has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and can accommodate up to 13 people with the use of an extra pull down couch.

The house is coupled with all the modern conveniences including wifi and phone service.

There is easy access into town for shopping, movies, Hunter Valley vineyards, sailing on Lake Macquarie and central coast beaches.

However, you will not want to leave after experiencing the breathtaking setting, seclusion and luxury of our property. Pack all your food and drinks and settle in for a wonderful stay.

A Perfect Hidden Getaway

We recently stayed at The Quarry Retreat with friends for a low-key 50th birthday celebration. With 10 of us in total (4 adults with 6 kids ranging from 9yrs to 17yrs). You could easily say it was like having your own private resort. The house is lovely, with plenty of things to keep everyone entertained, and space to escape for some solitude when the kids have had enough of each other. Beautiful east facing deck to watch the sunrise over the private lake. Comfy beds, aircon, ceiling fans and well stocked pantry essentials including pod nespresso coffee, or plunger coffee if that's what you prefer. We spent hours in the pool, and played tennis into the night. Pool towels, tennis rackets, balls etc are included. If you are visiting with small children, the pool is not next to the house, but as there is an undercover area beside it with a fridge, sink, shower and toilet, you can keep your food and drinks cool there for the day. It felt slightly heated too so was perfect for an early morning dip. My son was ecstatic that there was a basketball hoop (not in the listing) so that was a bonus. Great pool table too. It was nice to "switch off" with no phone reception, wifi and Netflix access was great. Resident water dragon visits the deck in the afternoon, and wallaby in the early morning or dusk.I would suggest a little more shelving available in the bedroom wardrobes, but not essential for short stays.Tracy and Brad are very responsive. Thanks for a great stay!

The property grounds are beautiful, and the house itself is super spacious, enough room for 10 adults (inc. 2x couples) to have their own space. Really well equipped kitchen, and while there is no reception from about 100m from the turnoff on the road, the wifi in the house is really strong. Would 100% book again!

Beautiful escape for the fam and friends

What a beautiful escape in the bush with everything you could ask for a long weekend with family and friends. We loved the place and would visit again. Perfect for kids too with the pool, trampoline and space to run around. We made the most of the tennis courts and pool even though it was getting chilly. Beautiful bush walks up the road too. Highly recommend.
