Guana Kai, minutes from historic St. Augustine, is a six bedroom, five bath home that can easily accommodate 14 people. A beautiful getaway that's lovingly cared for, Guana Kai is perfect for either all adults or families with children to enjoy the greatest vacation yet! (See Virtual Tour on the Location tab)

Spacious family room and dining room have ocean view with upstairs balcony, wet bar, fireplace, and is open to large stocked kitchen with a buffet bar and all the conveniences of home. Bedrooms include two king beds, three queen beds, one twin daybed with twin trundle, and a room with four twin beds. There is a game room with a pool table, wi-fi internet access, DVD/VHS.

The house has a walkway that leads from the side yard over the seawall and right to the beautiful beaches of South Ponte Vedra. It is a safe, quiet part of the beach lined only with private residences.

The pictures don’t do the views justice! Really enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The host Kat, was very pleasant to work with and was kind enough to deliver a brand new grill for our stay. I had a blast starting and finishing my days with a dip in the ocean. The location was perfectly placed halfway between TPC sawgrass and the world golf village

The house and location were beautiful but there were some maintenence issues but that were addresed right away. We had some strong storms that caused several spots in the house to leak some water. Besides those few issues the house was perfect for a group of 10 women. Well stocked, beautifully furnished, plenty of beach chairs, location to the water and plenty of room. We would definitely rent this property again.

This was a great house and location for our family vacation to Saint Augustine. There are great views from the decks and it felt like the beach was a private beach. Very easy access to Saint Augustine. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful home, even more beautiful location

We loved being right on the beach with the closest public access far enough away that it almost seemed like our own private beach. Great restaurants a very short drive away. House was very well updated with comfy beds, and very clean. We’ll definitely look to stay at this same place in the future.

Best family vacation!

We absolutely loved our stay at Guana Kai Beach House! The house was perfect for our group of 14 and the beach was great! It was so nice to have beach chairs, toys and towels provided. It was raining when we arrived early evening of our first day, but that didn't stop this group! We had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the beach, but we did go into town one day and that was also fun! We would really love to come back!

Family Beach Vacation

Great property for a family get together at the beach. We had 9 people and there was plenty of room for all to be together or find a spot for a little alone time. Cannot beat the location right on a beautiful sandy beach!

The perfect spot!

This house was just perfect! Had more than enough room for our large family and a well stocked kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms were amazing and well kept. The decks I think were the best part. Turly best decks i have experience in my many travels! Location was great. Right on the beach, easy access too!

Fantastic stay in a beautiful home on the beach! Absolutely loved being able to walk out the back door onto the beach for a swim or to play beach bocci. Plenty of room for everyone to play games or take some time to read a good book.

Mom Loved her 80th Birthday!

We had a wonderful time with extended family for Mom’s 80th! Beautiful home right on the water! Perfectly appointed to make family meals and enjoy games and time together. So close to St Augustine it made day trips easy and more enjoyable for everyone.

Beach Front Paradise

Our family enjoyed playing on the beach and in the ocean during the day and playing games at night in the game room. We made day trips to the Guana Talamata Reserve, the Castillo de San Marcos, and Fort Mose. The beach was wonderful. The home was perfect with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, a beautiful open kitchen and living space and two deck spaces overlooking the ocean.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE

I'm not sure where to start, to be honest. The pictures do not do this property justice - it truly is a lovely home. The fabulous sunrises and soothing sounds of the ocean out the back door made for a perfect oasis. Our family enjoyed the spacious home. There were plenty of gathering space for everyone (13) to be together and enough separate spaces for each of us to retreat to when we wanted to do our own thing. The rooms and bathrooms are well appointed, the home is clean, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook for days. Beyond all of that, Guana Kai felt like home. Kat, who manages the property, and her family have become a part of our family They made sure all of our needs were met and went above and beyond for us. This was our dad's 75th birthday and he is battling terminal cancer, so this was a very special trip for us....and Kat went above and beyond. If you are looking for a place to truly get away, look no further. We will definitely be back to make more memories here and are so grateful to have been able to make the memories we made here already. Our sincerest gratitude, Kat.

Friends Reunion for 50th

Property was a good size for the 10 of us. Room configurations met our needs. The Beachside location was great. It was a convenient drive to local shops, groceries and restaurants - though would NOT recommend The Reef (horrible brunch - so bad and cold our meal was refunded). There did tend to be a lot of people setting up large numbers of fishing poles all along the entire beach and in front of that house making it challenging to use the beach in front. We were notified the day of checking in that the electric range was damaged and in operable. The host replaced the range with four electric burners. I told her I had concerns about this solution due to our group doing a lot of cooking. She insured me I’ll be all right . It was not. The electric burners caused the breakers to trip multiple times - we had to find the location and turned them back on. When they were working they were very hard to adjust temperature and cook meals on. They were either too hot or not hot enough. We found out that they actually do not turn off unless you unplug them. This almost caused somebody to be burned and was a danger. Additionally there were things about the house that we’re just not repaired or up to speed. An example is the umbrella on the deck upstairs. We had to repair it ourselves to keep it operable. The garage was also a bit of a mess when we arrived with things just kind of haphazardly stacked along the back wall. There is some kind of water pump (or something similar) that makes a lot of noise during the middle of the night in the downstairs bedrooms, constantly going off and on. The check out timing on the final day is for 9:30 AM which is quite challenging and inconvenient for large groups that may have varying times of departures. Couple the early departure time with all of the things that have to be done upon leaving as required by the house manual (e.g. Stripping beds, collecting towels, starting 2 loads laundry, dishwasher loading, general housecleaning, trash collection, etc.), it makes for a really rough and early morning.

This was our fourth time staying at this lovely beachfront house. The house is beautiful and it's so nice to be so close to the beach and so close to many good restaurants and shops. The house needs a deep clean and the grass needed to be mowed, but other than that, as always, it is a wonderful place to stay!

2025 Summer Vacation

This house was perfect for our large family and you can’t beat the view. Would recommend this place to anyone. It’s in a perfect location and so convenient for daily beach access being right on the water. The few negatives we had was hot water was limited and would frequently run out. The beds weren’t very comfortable and could be updated but this could be just our personal preferences. The downstairs bedrooms could be swapped with downstairs master and downstairs room with double queens. Rooms are the same size but double queen room has a bigger and nicer bathroom better suited for downstairs master. Garage fridge leaks some water but is a non issue and a couple roaches were found in upstairs master bedroom. Overall house was amazing and hope to stay again. Only other issue was limited cell signal outside the house but this isn’t a house issue but people should be aware when staying at this location.

Excellent beach location

Overall a wonderful stay! Location on beach with quiet & privacy was wonderful! There were some issues that needed fixing in the home which I had read in a previous review & repair wasn’t made so that was a little disappointing. All in all it’s a beautiful & spacious home! We would rent again & I plan to email the property manager a list of the items which need addressed . Since it’s early in the season hopefully those can be remedied for guests to follow. Definitely a great week!

Missing attention to details

Overall a good house but the small deficiencies started to add up. Front door electric lock was dead. Said they are sending maintenance. Never showed. Had to fix ourselves. The shower in the upstairs bathroom needs replacing. Could not redirect water to shower headKilled multiple roaches throughout the propertyHot water wasn’t consistent. Some days there is plenty, others it’s freezingBacksliding glass door has broken handle. Why they chose this property

South Ponte Vedra Beach is a beautiful part of northeast Florida. We live in Jacksonville, and we bought Guana Kai so we could really "get away", but not have to go too far. We use the house as our family beach house, but love to share with others so you can experience the relaxation this home has to offer.
