Luxury waterfront living in Newport, direct access to Pittwater in Salt Pan Cove. Brand new 3 double bedroom, 4 bathroom house. Modern open plan, fully furnished with extensive artwork. Modern kitchen, 2 ovens, huge entertaining area opening out to yard, pool, all at the waters edge. Balconys off all bedrooms. North facing. 2 Car parking spaces. 5 mins to Newport or Avalon shops and beaches. Public wharf 4 houses along.
Suit 2 small families or 3 couples or similar.
Watch the tide move in Salt Pan Cove, look across to Scotland Island and the moored yachts through to the National Park.

PLEASE NOTE – This property is not suitable for school leavers/Hens/Bucks parties/Events/Weddings/Birthday parties - this is a family property with permanent residents as neighbours and noise must be kept to a minimum. Large groups of adults are ONLY accepted on the basis that they respect our neighbours and abide by our terms, conditions and House Rules. A copy of your photo id will be requested on confirmation. Your booking may be cancelled if this is not provided.

We could have stayed a week

We had a great time at Doug's place; his home is the perfect place for a get together with friends. Everything you need is there, comfortable rooms, an inviting pool, incredible views; peacefulness of the area; and two great yacht clubs located down the road. It was just right for our visit to Sydney.

Tranquil home on the water

This was a memorable getaway. We would wake up to the sound of water ripples and singing birds! The view was pituresque and the stay was comfortable. We did a lot of yabbie pumping at low tide and fishing at high tide. The kids enjoyed the outdoors as did our dog. The place was spacious, comfortable and well planned out. The area was gorgeous and we explored nearby parks, beaches and restaurants too. I highly reccomend this place if you need to unwind and reconnect with eachother and nature.

Special weekend away

We had an easy welcome and excellent instructions for an overall smooth check in. Once we came in, the view was instantly spectacular! Graced with some wonderful artwork, it felt more like a chic modern museum with some wonderful pieces and definitely good dinner conversation. High tide sunset was brilliant and a cup of tea on the chairs outside was a perfect finish to the evening and start to the morning. The bath was a beautiful feature with amazing views to create a truly relaxing ambience. The tvs and great music selection made dinner a wonderful night each night. We had a wonderful weekend. We had a wonderful 2-day stay at Pittwater Paradise! The location is absolutely stunning — peaceful, surrounded by nature, and with breathtaking views of the water. The house was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication with the host was smooth and friendly, and check-in was a breeze. It was the perfect short getaway — we only wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Tranquil getaway

This house is in a beautiful location with plenty of room for a large family. I knew there was going to be a lift to enter the house as others had mentioned it in the reviews. At first I was a bit reluctant but thank goodness it had a lift as I fractured my foot during one of our outings and there was no way I would've been able to go up the stairs to the bedrooms. Instructions to enter the house was easy and we did not need to bother the owner at all as everything was set out clearly for us.The weather during our beginning of April stay was nice and warm and in the eveninings and early mornings a nice cool breeze came into the bedrooms and living area. There is no air conditioning which could be a problem in bad weather conditions, but they do have ceiling fans.The house is very spacious and felt very comfortable staying there. The decor is an eclectic mix which visually we thoroughly enjoyed. The location is picture perfect! Sitting out on the deck in the evening was just gorgeous. Thank you Doug for opening your home for others to enjoy!

Good location. great view. But large building work in neighbouring house.

The location, view and house were great. Beds were double instead of queen as stated. It was very evident that the owner lived in the house. His communication both before and during stay was too much. There were notes placed around the house on blinds on tables etc telling you what to do or not do. Also stating that this was his home. He texted me several times to put the bins out. This information was in the overview of the house. But the most annoying thing was that there was large building works in the house next door. From 0700 till 1600. Monday to Saturday.

Nice place at a good location

For those who want to explore the Northern Beaches this house is ideally located. Nice restaurants nearby both in Newport and Newport Beach, but also in the two neighbouring yacht clubs. Manly in the south and Palm Beach in tje north are both appr.30 mins by car.

Disappointing

Property advertised as an entire home but had second level not accessible No Air conditioning made the hot days and nights uncomfortable Pool was not clean on arrival and by day 3 of our 7 days we couldn’t use it.The owner asked us to pour a tub of chlorine in which didn’t address the very horrible algae problem and the owner did not have the pool attended to during the week of our stayThere is no undercover areas outside the home and the heat made it unbearable The home itself is lovely as is the location, just felt it was not worth the money

Ladies Weekend Away

A lovely stay at Pittwater Paradise with a group of friends, the property is a short walk to the Yacht Club, has beautiful views and comfortable beds. Doug’s has left many notes and directions regarding the use of the property and made contact to ensure we settled in well on the a Friday. Thanks Doug for allowing us the stay in your home.

I built this property in 2011 to take full advantage of the incredible views.
It is so peaceful and tranquil waking up overlooking the cove and the yachts, and hearing the water lapping up to go to sleep to.
Swimming or kayaking directly off the house seawall is possible, or just enjoy the pool.
Some nice tree-lined walks from the house, or enjoy the park next door but one to the house. Or just 40m up the road is a public wharf, good to throw a fishing line from, or to just admire the views.
I plan to stay here as long as I can, as I know no other place so tranquil.
