The Church at Laggan was an excellent base for exploring the area including Wombeyan Caves, Taralgo and Crookwell. The church is beautifully renovated with a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable living space for relaxing, listening to music and reading. The views and the bird sound were a treat. Our only very minor quibble is that the DVD player wouldn't open. Highly recommended.
The church in Laggan is always a beautiful weekend away surrounded by picturesque countryside. Sarah and Michael are very easy going and accommodating.
We enjoyed our stay Well appointed for our needs ,thank you A terrific coffee machine is supplied unfortunately without ground coffee - if we had known we would have taken some with us
Booked this property for a surprise anniversary trip, and my partner wasn't the only one surprised. False advertising in more ways than I can count. The pictures and listing need a complete overhaul to be accurate. There's no mention of incomplete construction and an unsafe worksite directly behind the church. I specifically booked for the beautiful garden views from the bath, which have now been replaced by a construction site.Huge mounds of dirt sit all around the property. I don't have kids, but a completely open worksite like this is unsafe for anyone who does. The listing mentions space for one car in the garage, but it's completely inaccessible and full of construction materials. As another reviewer mentioned, it's strange to supply a fancy coffee machine with no coffee grounds. Cookware and other kitchen items were unclean on arrival, and there were no dishwasher tablets despite clear instructions to run the dishwasher before leaving. The list goes on.The church itself is beautiful, but the false advertising and overall neglect of the property are disappointing and unacceptable, especially for both the price and occasion.
Wow! My friends and I loved our stay at the church. A beautiful peaceful location, a property with an interesting history that the owners have done an excellent job renovating with thoughtful design. Thank you
