Our unit has an incredible 3rd floor oceanfront view of our neighboring island, Lana’i. Enjoy the sounds of the surf while watching turtles and whales from the shoreline or your private lanai. The complex provides a relaxing sundeck and pool with beautiful floral surroundings. This condo is fully equipped for your stay with new comfortable furnishings and beach style décor.

Enjoy peaceful days with stunning sunsets. You will be in walking distance to restaurants, shops and cafe's. It is a short drive to Maui’s beautiful, world-ranked beaches. Maui offers many premium outdoor activities from golf to snorkeling. This is definitely an escape to share with someone special!

Great Time in Maui

Hale Ono Loa #306 was a fantastic home base for our vacation in Maui. The location was great for visiting several beaches and eating great food. Close to the Kaanapali hotels on the beach, Whaler's Village, and Napili Bay in Kapalua. Loved the view of the ocean and the sound of the waves day and night. Highly recommend!

Perfect home base

Our rental was the perfect space for us during our stay in Maui. The views were incredible, every morning we watched the whales from the patio. The amenities were great-Kim and Scott provide all of the extras like beach gear, coolers, and snorkel equipment. The bed was comfortable and we had to come home and buy a sound machine to replicate the sound of the waves that put us to sleep every night. The unit is also close enough to walk to lots of places including a beach, restaurants and a grocery store. We would 100% stay here again.

Quiet Oceanside retreat with everything we needed

This place was perfect place to unwind at the end of the day of exploring the island. Beautiful views from the lanai of the ocean. As it was during mating season we saw a lot of whales from the property. There are several great take out restaurants, coffee shop, and grocery stores within walking distance. We would recommend this to our friends and family looking for a couples getaway.

Cute, colorful condo in Maui!

Thanks Kim for your great communication and a wonderful stay! Although the weather was (surprisingly) less than ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cute condo. Beautifully decorated with a colorful, beachy theme, we had everything we needed at our home away from home. We especially loved sitting on the balcony for breakfast and watching the ocean. Captivating Ocean Views

We had a nice time staying in West Maui for 6 nights. This condo has amazing views of the ocean and one of our days we even saw whales fairly close by (from the lanai)! The lanai is a wonderful place to watch the waves day and night. There is also a beautiful pool and ocean viewing platform. The condo is beautifully decorated and the room divider between bedroom and living corridors is really helpful. The owner Kim and property manager Michelle are both fast at communicating if you need any help. This condo is close to many wonderful beaches and restaurants.

Incredible stay

Trip of a lifetime for us and this condo couldn’t have been more perfect! It went above and beyond – super clean, killer views, and cozy-chic! Check-in was a breeze, tons of parking, and the place was well-kept. Bonus points for having snorkeling gear, cooler, and beach chairs – made our beach days even more awesome. Perfect location to check out different beaches or grab a bite to eat, but honestly the kitchen had everything for homemade meals too. Kim and Scott are fantastic hosts- easy communication, personable, and kind. We will definitely be back. Totally recommend it!

The condo was clean, with a great view. The host provided a lot of great info that made our stay very enjoyable. The one way we would have been more comfortable is if the unit had AC. After the first day of having the condo windows open and the fans on it was not bad, but the first night was hot.

Beautiful condo with ocean view

We had a lovely vacation in this cute condo. The view is stunning and we saw whales jumping in the distance. You also have a view of the sunset over the ocean and two nearby islands. There were plenty of towels and beach supplies. The neighborhood is nice and it is a good location. There isn’t an air conditioner but in February we were comfortable with the air flow from the lanai and they have ceiling fans and a stand fan. It might get a little warm in the summer though, not sure. The hosts provided helpful suggestions and added a very personable and welcoming touch with their Aloha spirit and good communication. Hope to stay here again!

Perfect Couples Retreat on Maui's West Side

This Condo had everything we needed for our stay, including a nice ocean view to observe the whales. It is also in our preferred location between Kaanapali and Napili. The Essig's were great hosts. They communicated quickly and well throughout the process. If I had to come up with one thing to pick at it would be that the community pool was a little too cold to comfortably enjoy (February stay). I would recommend it to couples looking for a nice place to enjoy their time on Maui.

Total Perfection

Their 5-star rating speaks for itself. This place is total perfection. My girlfriend and I were there for a week and were as comfortable as could be. Plenty of space for the two of us, the bed is super comfy and we slept very well. But that balcony/view is something else. We were up every day around 7am and just sat there for an hour or so having coffee and taking it all in (we were able to see turtles from the complex as well). Kim was also amazing by being very communicative from the time we booked all the way through checkout. She also gave us a huge list of recommendations which were all great. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

From first booking I can honestly say this was the easiest, most pleasurable booking experience. Kim was so quick to respond, check in before the trip, when we arrived and after. The list of suggestions she sent was perfect in our planning. The condo is beautifully decorated, very clean and the view is amazing! We loved watching the sunrise and the turtles from the lanai! The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need and condo is located near farmers market and great amenities. We loved our stay and the very comfy bed! Great romantic stay in Maui!

Our overall experience I would say was smooth, relaxing and as expected. Kim could not have been more accommodating, kind and always communicated quickly. The condo itself had all amenities we needed (beach chairs, blankets, wine openers, etc…). We needed to purchase nothing for the condo! The condo is in a great area. All neighbors I met were always friendly. I ran every morning (lots of runners and walkers every morning). Bad Ass Coffee is a great coffee shop just up the road next to a great farmers market. Has everything you need… fresh fruits, groceries, great breakfast bowls, etc…. To be able to come back every morning and drink your coffee/eat breakfast on the patio and watch the whales off the balcony was a great added experience for us! The property next door allows you to walk to what they call Rainbow Beach (so 2 properties to the north). You can cut through at the bottom on the sea wall. We went there almost every evening and laid by the sea turtles that beach every evening. Pretty surreal experience! Overall it’s a great condo and we would book here again in a heartbeat! We are from Eugene, Oregon, and have been coming to Maui for over 30 years to escape the gloomy Oregon winters. We actually stayed next door to Hale Ono Loa most of these years in our timeshare and finally decided it was time to quit playing the “timeshare game” and get a permanent place of our own.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Maui on our first trip. We have seen it grow throughout the years while still maintaining its laid back “shaka” lifestyle. Hale Ono Loa is between Kapalua and Kaanapali – with lots of shopping, restaurants and golf. You have the neighborhood feel with lots of activities close by.

What makes this property unique

We love this neighborhood, and once we decided to buy we knew we wanted to stay close –we could not have gotten any closer than the condominium next door. We had literally looked at Hale Ono Loa for over 29 years. The grounds have always been immaculately groomed and it has seemed like a very serene property.

Honokowai is a great little neighborhood with Pau Bakery, Bad Ass Coffee , Papi's Ohana (they make the best cinnamon rolls EVER!) and many other local stores/restaurants. You are close enough to walk to Times Market as well as catch the boardwalk into Kaanapali, which is a scenic walk or run (whichever you prefer!).
