Our stay was amazing! Beautiful views from this cozy home nestled right in the side of the mountain. We spent the days hiking and the evening recovering in the hot tub. The little restaurant at the entrance was very good and convenient and the staff were great! Would love to come back with our pups!

Weekend serenity

Alyson was absolutely amazing and extremely kind. This home had one of the most stunning views at the top of the road, secluded and quiet. I would absolutely love to come back here and stay longer than a weekend. Make sure you bring coffee, all the food, and necessities you want for cooking if you plan on staying there.

Weekend Getaway

We had a great time at this mountain home. We went away for a long weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday. We loved the location of the property and the house itself. Our dog enjoyed hiking all of the trails there and then relaxing in the great wraparound porch. We would recommend the property.

Beautiful view

Beautiful views from rear porch and hot tub. Driveway is quite steep but we have a front wheel drive SUV so had little issues. Enjoyed our 3 night stay and would stay again for a long weekend. Remote but still accessible to Blowing Rock and Boone.

We had a great time celebrating our anniversary! Bring groceries, closest Walmart is in Boone which is an hour away. We LOVED the hot tub and the feeling of being out in the wild. 10/10 would recommend

Rainy Getaway

Visited on a rainy, dreary long Presidents' Day weekend, but still had a great time. Views (between the showers) were great. Cabin is very secluded and quiet, which is just what we wanted. Comfortable bed, great water pressure, fast internet ... everything we needed. Note that property is a LONG way from restaurants/grocery stores, so plan to eat meals at the cabin and shop before you arrive. Owner/Host responded quickly and was terrific on all fronts. Will definitely look to stay here again.

Great Retreat

My huaband enjoyed every minute of hiking with our Labrador. The cabin was cozy and the views were fantastic. We will be back! There were a lot of ticks on the trails (nothing to do with the property), so anyone bringing a dog, make sure they are protected with something. The deck that goes around the cabin is amazing! You can be out even if its raining. The host answered all of our questions within minutes! Highly recommend!

This property is not only well, well taken care of, it is on a piece of this earth where you will literally and physiologically enjoy the “sound of silence”. The swing on the back porch is heavenly, especially with a glass of wine at sunset, then after sunset when you watch the fireflies start dancing. The larger swing by the hot tub - nap heaven!! The hot tub - big and comfortable, clean and worked every day, every time. We are from Texas then Florida - so ceiling throughout the cabin were so appreciated. The communication with the property manager as well as owner was, from timeliness to thoroughly addressing questions, “Ritz Carleton” type excellence. If you want to get away, have quality time in a high quality place, enjoy any and all meals with that/those special someone for a while, be in one of the few places on earth where you hear nothing - I mean sheer silence - , and your biggest decision is whether to go to other wonderful parts of NC during the day, or, go between hot tub and huge bed-size swing with great pillows and outstanding view, you must spoil yourself and come to this cabin. Thank you, thank you, Alyson!! What a treat!!

Beautiful Setting to do ABSOLUTELY Nothing - in the best way

My husband and I wanted a place to get away and relax, with no need to be anywhere at any time. This place delivered that, as well as some amazing scenic skies. We arrived at dusk (do try to get there before the sun sets), so we didn't get to check out the view initially, but we awoke the following morning to a partial rainbow over the mountains, followed by the most colorful sunset I've ever seen, and literal twinkling stars at night. The majority of our time was spent in the spacious hot tub, bed swing, and gliders/rockers. We appreciated the string lights that hung from the deck of the master bedroom which had a huge, comfy bed. Being a light sleeper, I was worried when I saw 4 skylights in the bedroom, but with the tree coverage, it didn't get bright enough to interrupt our sleep. We chose to prepare all our meals within the house and were able to do so with the provided kitchen essentials. The only constructive thing I have to share is to bring a couple of additional "beach towels" if you intend to utilize the hot tub as often as we did. Two beach towels were provided, and we were able to throw them in the dryer, but it would have been nice to have had a couple of additional towels.
