We had a wonderful stay and loved this property. We would definitely return. 1 thing to note for future guests, if it is windy out, tree branches will rub the roof/side of the house. It freaked my husband and I out a little the first night we heard it. This did not affect our stay at all though.

We spent a week with our adult daughter at this beautiful mountain cabin with mountain views, starry nights, and hiking days. The cabin is a perfect size for a couple although there are two single pads that have sheets and blankets and work well as single beds so it worked out well with our daughter. The cabin is located in the Leatherwood Mountains resort, a horse centric community, so there are many trails around the resort, a few of which we took advantage of, affording challenging hiking (trails are more suitable to horses and aren't maintained for hikers). The location of the cabin is rather remote, so it was very quiet and we rarely saw other people or cars. Nevertheless, we did venture out on a couple days to hiking areas 1 to 1.5 hour drives away on beautiful mountain roads. Be sure to download maps and information before you get to the cabin or before you leave the cabin (wifi at the cabin is fine) because there isn't a lot of cellular service in those remote areas. All in all, it was a great week.

The property was excellent. Many extras such as a coffee bar, kitchen well stocked, bathrobes were available, bathroom extras such as toothbrushes, extra towels, etc. There was dry firewood on site for fireplace. Overall, great stay!!

Idyllic location with great views, so nice to be quietly tucked away on the mountainside. Very easy to find the property but remember to save the access codes before you go up as no phone signal to access email etc. Once inside the Wi-Fi was great. Property was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Nice open plan living area with plenty of room for the two of us and our Goldendoodle.

One of the best VRBOs I’ve stayed at. Well stocked and great coffee station. We really enjoyed the deck and hot tub. We also went into Blowing Rock as suggested, cute mountain town. Highly recommend!

Lovely home with everything you’d need. Stayed for a weekend for some quiet R&R with my spouse. Plan your meals ahead unless you’re prepped to trek into town. Home was clean, cozy, had extra firewood and comfortable bed. Hot tub is an added plus! Would easily come back - especially in October!
