Disappointed

The house smelled, very outdated, cobwebs, no real modern tv and all the decor was old and mismatched. Biggest disappointment was the outside, grass was supper tall and the top deck was very shaky felt like the steps were going to fall off the house. Really the nails where popping out. The dock was ok but very hard to get the kayaks into the water. I would not say here again and don’t recommend it. Owner really needs to take much better care of his property!!!!

A Stay with Potential

The home has great potential and provided us with a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the lake and family time. However, it was not adequately prepared for the 10 adults we booked for. There were not enough beds set up, and the host suggested using mats from a closet or contacting the cleaning lady to help. Moving forward, this home is best suited for 8 guests. We also experienced issues with the outdoor lights. Despite our efforts to change bulbs and check switches, the problem seemed to be with the sensors, as neither the front nor back lights worked. The host and her husband responded quickly, offering to send someone to fix the lights and providing additional outdoor lights from a box. While their responsiveness was appreciated, it did detract from our overall enjoyment of the home. Additionally, the home felt cluttered and unkept, contributing to a mold-like smell despite the presence of dehumidifiers on both floors. In conclusion, with some easy fixes like improving outdoor lighting, reducing clutter, and limiting the number of guests to 8, this home has a lot of potential. The host was fantastic at responding, even while out of the country, and the lake and waterboats were a pleasure to enjoy.

We had an amazing time, property was clean, linens were clean, plenty of towels, easy to contact the owner, owner made sure that we were comfortable , we will definitely stay at your house again, house has very good energy, vibe, thanks Alex

Disappointed

The house is really old it’s need to have a lot of work to be done. Smells so badly ,AC only in the in the living room and in the master bedroom, nothing working ,no regular coffee maker ,no lights outside …Just so disappointed …that’s it. The owner asked not to wear shoes in the house -we did … and our socks turn from white to black in one hour floor is disgusting, greasy, sticky, and dirty

Extremely Disappointed; One star is too many!

We were extremely disappointed with this property! While the view of the lake is beautiful, accessing the lake is Very unsafe!!! Many large, slippery rocks makes entry to swimming & kayaking very difficult. Property photos are misleading as they include the neighbor's land, boat and gazebo. The house was very dirty; pans were filthy, window sills and door tracks were filled with dirt. We did not use the entire lower level of the house due to bad odors and overcrowding of the homeowner's personal items. Only one small, camp-style charcoal grill was available for use; definitely not sufficient for a large family. This home is not suitable to rent out as a family vacation rental; it was unsafe, unhealthy and was extremely disappointing!

Beautiful stay in the Poconos!

Beautiful lakefront property and a very clean home. The host was quick to respond to all inquiries prior to our arrival. The home is exactly as shown in the pictures and we loved taking out the kayaks and canoe every day! Definitely would recommend for a friends/family weekend.

Amazing stay with homely feeling

The house had stuff as if a family is living in there. They also had lot of games which me and my friends enjoyed a lot. The host also provided boats and life vests. It was clean and well maintained. Definitely willing to visit again

Nice property on the lake

The driveway is very steep and only loose gravel. My car got stuck while trying to leave the property. I would not reccomend parking in the driveway with any inclement weather unless you have four wheel drive.

Amazing lake view property

Wish we had more time was used a more as a place to sleep then hang out but that’s what the lakes there for. Lots of fishing from shore however the owner said any questions please asked I asked about a boat and oars. The owner replied absolutely told me where the items were and included life vest bc that matters ❤️ Amazing owner amazing time
