Check in was a breeze, WiFi was easy to access, view was incredible. Algoma is the place to stay to get away from the crowds. It’s an older home and needs updating but everything you need is there.

Wonderful stay!
We rented this house along with a few friends for the weekend. We had a great time and the house fit our needs perfectly. It had a spacious yard and easy access to the water. It was only a few minutes from beach access and restaurants too. My only complaint is that the water in the house has a strong odor to it. Otherwise, it was wonderful!!

Family stay for WI experience
Communication for our stay was excellent. The view from the home was relaxing. the home is a little older but nice space and touches. Plenty of supplies to make it easy to cook if you want to stay in. We had a great time listening to the juke box while playing pool!
Overall great experience. The may flies must have just hatched so besides the bugs it was excellent. The pool table is a little old and the rails don’t really work but the juke box made up for it. Would definitely stay again!
Amazing veiw and the perfect home-base to go out and explore the Algoma/Kewaunee area!

Beautiful Lake View
Great location and home to enjoy Lake Michigan. Very responsive host with good information and recommendations. Loved Red's for our Friday night fish fry.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. It was a great home. Very comfortable, clean, great atmosphere, wonderful sunrise. We enjoyed sightseeing, win tasting at Von Stiehl Winery and went to Off The Hook bar and grill and met a lot of nice people. Could definitely see us retiring in this area
Large home, spacious rooms, great location on the lake
Functional home, big bedrooms and plenty of other living spaces for our guests.
Great location on the lake and close to town.
Loved the cute little town of Algoma and visiting the little shops, “smashed on the rocks” and the winery.
Went for a Salmon fishing trip and it was a good location between Algoma boat launch and Kewaunee boat launch.
Cute home! We enjoyed our trip.

The location is great. The view is amazing. The sleeping accommodations were just what we needed. We loved watching the sunrise over the lake. However, the house could use a really deep cleaning. The showers are a bit grimmy, carpet needs to be cleaned, dust along the floorboards, things like that. There are only 3 living room chairs to enjoy TV in the evening. For a house that sleeps 12, it is likely that more than 3 people will be looking for a comfy spot at the end of the day. The water has a strong sulfur odor. The property manager did come over to address this issue and it was somewhat better after that.
Decent place, water smells like iron. No ac on a hot weekend

Superb, Amazing, What A View, Betond our Expectations
Communication with the Owner, Property Manager and the Evolve representative were all compassionate, quick to resolve issues and beyond wonderful. The views of the lake were breathtaking, the home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and with great amenities. Slept like a baby and felt right at home. The pool table and jukebox were so much fun! Highly recommend!

The place has a nice backyard along lake Michigan. But the road noise is quite loud.
The cleaning needs a lot of improvement!!!

Hi Tyler, we're so glad to hear you enjoyed the home's location right along Lake Michigan. We're sorry you experienced some issues during your stay, however. We passed your concerns along to the homeowner, who wanted to share the following: "We so wish you would have contacted us during your stay so that we could have addressed your cleanliness concerns right away. We were also sorry to hear that the road noise was a nuisance, though we do make the location clear in the listing, and the noise is out of our control." Thank you for taking the time to share your review!

A lovely home
This large home on Lake Michigan was perfect for our family getaway. Comfy and tidy, it had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The large kitchen and dining areas were busy all the time as we prepared meals and ate together. The deck and separate screened porch allowed us to be outside in all types of weather. The beds were comfy and the rural area provided lots of quiet. We even saw a few "critters" like bunnies and a cute woodchuck as we enjoyed the lake views. A great value for us!

Stay
Bathrooms and beds are well kept and clean. Everything else was quite dirty. Cobwebs everywhere, dishes in cabinets were dirty and did not appear to be cleaned before put away. Grill was not one in photo and only a single burner worked. Great view, quiet location and game room was a good bonus to the property.
Our whole family enjoyed this large vacation home. It was a short drive, but far enough to feel like a real getaway...and it's far from the hustle and bustle. There are direct views of Lake Michigan, a yard for playing, and even some wildlife to watch. The beds were very comfy and the large kitchen and dining area allowed us to share wonderful family meals. The game room with pool table and jukebox was a hit with all ages. The large deck plus a great screened-in porch allowed us to be "outside" regardless of the weather. All in all, this was a great value!
This house would benefit from a deep clean, minor repairs & a few upgrades. The screen entry to the house is covered in bugs, old & in need of repair. The living room carpet & furniture is old & a little musty. Although the house has beds for at least ten, the living room has seating for only 3 & the patio table has seating for only 4. The kitchen is adequately stocked. The beds & linens are very comfortable. The yard & lake view are the highlight of this house. The yard is beautifully landscaped & maintained with a lovely lake view. The fire pit is located in a pretty area but there are no seats around the fire pit. My friends & I enjoyed our stay, but this subpar rental could be a real gem with a little maintenance.

Algoma
Great property with spectacular view, but lake access is a bit tricky. We had to maneuver the displaced cinder blocks and climb down the rocks (with smiley faces on the neighbors property). House was well stocked inside, but the shower on main floor was dirty and needed attention. Patio door screen needs replaced and that would help keep the lake flies outside (thankfully they don't seem to bite). Tried to contact the owner via text and app regarding firewood and a stray cat with no response. Outside steps and deck could use some updates to include safety rails. We absolutely enjoyed our time in Wisconsin and with a couple updates, this property would be a gem
Overall our stay was great. There were a few things that were slightly off putting. We found a pedicure sandal under the chair in the living room, chips next to the bed in the downstairs bedroom, a large hairball on the floor in the main bedroom upstairs....just minor things that you would expect the cleaning fee to cover. The lawn was pretty long and the apple tree over the path to the beach was overgrown.
Aside from that it was a great stay and we would recommend it to others. The location was perfectly set between Algoma and Kewaunee so we were able to go both places and not lose a lot of time. The view was incredible.
First we visited during Wisconsin’s heat wave. We must accept some responsibility, assumed home had AC. Owner was nice enough to bring in a portable AC used in one bedroom. Location is beautiful. Don’t let that stop you from staying at this home. During normal WI weather i am sure home would be cool with wonderful Lake Michigan breezes. Beds very comfortable. Due to high water level and erosion lake access is possible but a little tricky. You can get to the water. Had a great time with family.

Misleading advertisement at best... NO access to beach area-a huge dropoff dangerous for little kids
To our shock we arrived to a place with about a 9 foot drop off to the "beach" there is no access as advertised to the private beach.. Had a huge tree not fallen we would not have been able to get to the water at all!! It is very dangerous for little kids. We rented this home with the understanding this was a family friendly place and was very disappointed upon arrival.. The house is super cute, NO air so it gets very hot!!!! The owner was very nice.. Beautiful view, beautiful yard, beautiful area...

Hi Elizabeth, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced issues with beach access during your trip. We care very much about the safety of guests and are notifying future guests ahead of time about the beach erosion. Our owners try their best to provide a great environment for guests and their families, but sometimes external factors like this are simply out of their control. Thanks for letting us know about your stay!
Beautiful spacious home, loved the sizes of all the rooms, beds and linens were all very comfortable, fresh and clean, kitchen well stocked with necessary appliances, loved the views of the lake, big yard, numerous games and pool table. Even tho the distance to the lake was short, the walk down to it was difficult for some: the railing was unsafe, apple tree branches hanging low blocked part of the pathway, and the boulders near the bottom were difficult to climb down.
Yard work needed tending: many tall weeds in gardens which took away from the beauty of the gardens.
Despite the negatives just mentioned we admired the beauty of this older home which has been completely remodeled yet still maintaining some of the old structure! We enjoyed our stay there!!
