What can I say the place was so retro and the views and the position of the place was divine’. Everything we needed was there. Bed’s fantastic.such a quiet place to unwind . I can’t say enough about this very peaceful vibe that we had while we were there.thank from the Dixon’s
We loved our stay at Alkira shack , the interior and was so lovely and felt very homely. We loved sitting on the deck and seeing all the pademelons and the the little fairy wren birds. Beds were comfy and the shower was great , our kids also loved the games and kitchen had everything we needed.
Beautiful views and very peaceful, lots of wild life and a relaxing place to stay after a long day in front of the of the fire! Courtney was very happy to help out with questions and advise! Lovely little beach shack...would recommend!
The property felt so homely. Cosy, comfortable and quiet. Although we had many visitors in the form of wildlife. An abundance of beautiful birds and numerous pademelons just added to atmosphere and were a highlight. The attention to detail in the property was just gorgeous. Would definitely stay again.
Gorgeous and cosy place to say! Very blissful location. Just what we needed.

Kindling was damp and not varied in size or type. Windows rattled badly in strong wind and also let in rain at the fittings. We had to plug the areas with newspapers. It is a very long way from the lounge chairs to the tv and so difficult to see the screen. Spare chairs helped so as to move closer. The curtains threaded on metal pipe in hall and spare room are loose and fall down if touched when walking. Other areas ok.

Thank you for your constructive feedback Carol, I’m sorry you had those issues. I really encourage guests to reach out if they need anything at all - my partner typically cuts the kindling so I’m not sure what the cleaner left out for you but guests are welcome to access the shed if needed. We have since repaired the windows. We don’t personally have any issues with the size of the tv (and my partner loves watching sport); we used to have a huge tv but I found it took over the space and distracted from the water views and peacefulness of the space. I’m looking into more sturdy curtains for the bunk room so I appreciate your feedback.
We enjoyed our stay. A beautiful view and lovely spot. Loved the wallaby's on the front lawn. We were warm, the wood fire was great. Not over priced for what it is. Thanks.
The cutest, funky, fun, cosy amd welcoming shack. We loved staying here and cant wait to come back again. This little house embraced you as soon as you pulled into the drive way and spoilt you with everything and more ya need on holidays.
Loved our stay. The shack has all that’s needed for a relaxing stay. It is nicely nested in a quiet bay with a large deck facing the ocean. No luxury but very comfortable and homely. Highly recommended.
