It was a beautiful weekend. I was able to sit outside in the sun and listen to the music of Nature - lots of birdsong. The dogs were playing and running and also relaxing in the garden. It was so quiet and peaceful- health restoring. I loved being there.
Our family loved having a comfortable stay in a cute cabin in the bush, away from busy connected life. Lots of outdoor fires, staring at the stars (so clear!), wandering in the bush and just lazing musing the day together. Thanks so much!
No WIFI đđ Very relaxing and out off the way everything you need for a great weekend away .
Full stocked kitchen aircon . Great little fire pit out back , wildlife around we had a wombat and wallabies around .
Bushland Cabin Overlooking the Hawkesbury River Upstream of Wisemans Ferry
This delighful well appointed cabin, complete with paintings of Australian landscapes, is a perfect spot to spend a few days exploring the local area, including the Wisemans Ferry Inn and the Settlers Arms at St Albans and for us, to kayak along the river. The property has shared private access to the river. The cabin is set on a large bushland property which means you can enjoy the solitude, sky and peace all to yourselves with your four legged friend.
This cabin is a beautiful retreat. We enjoyed our time away and appreciated how well-equipped the cabin was. The only downside is the distance from amenities like supermarkets, requiring a bit of travel, but this is simply due to its remote location. We came prepared with food and essentials, so it wasnât an issue for us. Itâs the perfect spot for someone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. The cabin itself is also stunning, with air conditioning, gorgeous wooden floors, and an overall warm and inviting atmosphere. Weâll definitely be back again. Thank you

Lovely peaceful property. Beautiful views. Spacious bedrooms. No Wi Fi was a blessing as we spent more time connecting with each other. A great time had by all.

Thank you Samantha, so glad you enjoyed your stay. Having no WiFi for a couple of days is such a good thing.
Gorgeous property that forces you to simply relax and unwind. Everything you need to stay in and spend quality time with family or friends. Just pure bliss.
A wonderful place to stay and relax.
With no wifi or phone reception (Vodafone anyway) it was great to unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the city.
As advised bring all your own food (staples provided) as there is no local shop to pop into should you require something - being pregnant and craving some ice cream I had to go without.
Great place to unplug and recharge.
It's a bit further from the river that we thought, but that was prob our mistake.
The property is very well kept and very comfortable.

About the host
Hosted by Maria Nati
Hi there! My name is Maria Nati. Together with my husband Rick, we own and run Riverview Nature Retreat.
We love to getaway regularly to reset and recharge from life's pressures and decided to buy our own place in the country that we could escape to often. We wanted a place that is close enough to home but feels like miles away from it all. A place that is surrounded by nature and wildlife. A place where we can disconnect from all devices so we can engage in conversation. A simple place with all the amenities for a comfortable stay.
We wanted to give this place a vintage Australiana feel to it which we feel is in keeping with the local area and its pioneering history. We have collected a lot of Australian artwork that depicts the bush and homesteads. We also wanted it to feel homely and inviting and have decorated it with that in mind.
We love our getaway home and are happy to share it with you to enjoy with your family and friends.
