Single bedroom quaint country cottage with generous bathroom.
Kitchen with gas stove, lounge, flat screen TV, slow combustion fire, solar hot water, piano, beautiful deck, polished floors, exposed rafters surrounded by gardens. Queen sized bed plus sofa bed in living room. On offer is a range of medical support therapies such as massage therapy and art therapy

The cottage is suitable for one couple with children or two couples who do not mind the fact that the bathroom is entered via the bedroom.
Cottage is appointed for wheelchair mobility

About Bellingen

Guests can enjoy all the attractions that Bellingen has to offer and these are too many to list. Bellingen is central to the Bellinger valley surrounded by forests, farmland, waterfalls, ocean beaches etc.

My neighbourhood is semi rural, quiet and peaceful. I am situated three kilometers from Bellingen where there are many restaurants and shops. We have an annual Jazz & Blues Festival, Classical Music Festival, Camp Creative Summer School, annual Agricultural Show, a Writers Festival, a local historical museum, a youth hub etc.



Transport Details

Coffs Harbour is the nearest airport where you can hire a car. The main North Coast train service runs through Urunga. Bellingen is serviced by buses and coaches plus of course, taxis.

Charming Country Cottage

Excellent location in Bellingen. The cottage is located on a large property which gives it a sense of space and privacy, and a genuine countryside feel. Kids didn't want to leave.

What a beautiful property - a little slice of paradise. Very private and ample space. The unit has all the things you could want for your stay and only 5 minutes to town. Charlotte was lovely, greeting us once we had settled in. She provided some basic breakfast provisions for our first morning which we were very grateful for and kids had a ball playing in her beautiful garden. Would highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed staying in Charlotte’s cottage. Very convenient to Bellingen town but quiet and private. The cottage itself is new, clean and comfortable and feels open and spacious. Charlotte is a lovely host

Beautiful cottage in a glorious garden

Had a lovely 3 night stay in Charlotte’s cottage. The house was great with everything we needed. Close to town and in a lovely quiet garden. Charlotte was a generous host with bread, butter, fruit and milk provided.

Charming cottage just outside town

We had a lovely 'last minute' stay at Charlotte's cottage and it was just what we were looking for. Charlotte is very friendly but not interfering, the house has all that you need and the deck and garden area is spacious and relaxing. Thank you, Charlotte.

Escape the hustle and bustle

Gorgeous little cottage. Loved all the wooden detail inside. Tranquil part of the world. Loved exploring all the waterholes, creeks and nearby waterfalls and oceans. Kids really enjoyed themselves as did we. I am also bird mad so got the most epic experience seeing so many Yellow tailed Black Cockatoos around. Magnificent birds.Thanks for a wonderful stay Charlotte. Lovely meeting you!

Charlotte’s in August

Staying at Charlotte’s reminded me of staying at my grandparents house, with many of the same household items, big heavy blankets, and fixtures to suit elderly guests. I would only recommend booking this property in warmer months. We found it cold in winter. The owner also requests no shoes inside, but the floors were freezing, so I wouldn’t stay in winter unless you’ve packed Ugg boots!

Cosy wood heater

We really enjoyed the cosy wood heater at Charlotte’s place with more than enough wood to keep it going during our stay. The cottage was quaint, clean and well appointed and Charlotte was friendly and quick to communicate. Our stay would have been complete with wifi or at least a DVD player and the TV in a position to view from the couch. The garden surrounds were lovely offered some privacy but from the outiside photo on the listing we had presumed the cottage was in a sunny clearing when in fact it is in the shady front garden and right next to the road.

Unique and homely

My partner and I stayed or 3 nights in Charlotte's cottage. It was clean, and homely with quirky little additions to add to the character. The kitchen was modern and had ample utensils. We made most of our meals here. There's a water filter with tank water on tap, and a compost bucket. The fridge was stocked with milk, butter, bread and fresh eggs. My only suggestion would be that it needs a microwave. There are plenty of blankets and other homely touches to make you feel welcome. The bed is cosy and feels just like being at Grandma's house. The lounge/dining area is spacious. I just wish the lounge was a bit more comfie for lazing on for a bit of TV. My favourite space was the outdoor deck. So peaceful watching the chickens in the garden and listening to the birds. Charlotte was lovely and very approachable. She welcomed up upon arrival. We left early but she messaged to see us off. Definitely a great place for a relax and unwind. Only a short trip into Bellingen if you want to enjoy the many places to eat. Thanks. Was lovely.

An expensive mistake!!

This cabin was underwhelming and unwelcoming to say the least. Set in the back yard of the owner close to a road with no outlook. It is small and cold with a hard uncomfortable sofa bed couch to sit on and a very soft old bed that was fitted with a mixed selection of mismatched old linen and blankets. The owner had also left us several sticky notes to tell us her rules which were many. we had booked for three nights but stayed only one and fortunately the owner agreed to give us a refund for one night so we paid a total of $500 A very expensive and disappointing night and start to our holiday!!

Found the property owner to be very unhelpful throughout our stay

My kids and I didnt enjoy our stay at this property. Dishes were dirty and the property manager was not accommodating or helpful. We were told to not use the kindling that was provided for us. Trying to enjoy our few days away after experiencing difficulties at home the owner sent multiple emails while I was exploring the town with the kids in relation to finding our own sticks. It was uncomfortable and I Would not return

Semi-rural charming cottage on north side of Bello

Secluded and delighful in established garden, self contained getaway with easy distance to town. We enjoyed the space and quiet, with the extra touches provided by the hostess.

Really cute, peaceful, homey cottage. Lovely way to experience Bellingen. Recommend getting takeout from the many great foodie spots.
