About this property

Fernridge Farm Cottage

This is a beautiful, well appointed fully self contained cottage located on a Bellingen 120 acre hobby farm. It has two bedrooms, sleeping 6 people, and two bathrooms. All household linen is provided.

Verandas wrap around the cottage, and are sun-drenched throughout the day in winter, shaded in summer, with a very large, covered front veranda. Expansive and spectacular mountain and valley views will keep you on the veranda for hours at a time. Gardens have been designed with an emphasis on bird attracting plants.

The living room has a fireplace, ceiling fans and air conditioning. There is a flat screen digital TV with Netflix installed and a DVD player. NBN WIFI is free in the cottage. The kitchen has a full sized stove and fridge, microwave and there is a gas BBQ on the veranda. You will only need to bring food and personal effects. There is an attached laundry with washing machine and dryer. The cottage was extensively upgraded at the end of 2019.

There is an ensuite to the main bedroom, and the main bathroom has both a large shower and a laundry tub.

It's a perfect place for children - half a kilometre away from the road, not near any water source, well away from neighbours and surrounded by a large flat lawn - a perfect playground for active children (and adults).

Small dogs (under 10kgs) are welcome but please confirm first. You must clean up after your dog, for the comfort of yourselves and other guests. Dogs are not permitted on furniture or in beds for health reasons. If there are indications that this has occurred, you will be charged $50 per dog per day for your stay.
The cottage is only a five minute drive from Bellingen, and is well off the road on top of a hill. The cottage offers peace, privacy and an opportunity to get away from it all. But not so far away that you can't access the cafes, restaurants and shops of Bellingen when you want to.

Peaceful little getaway

This cottage is in the perfect spot, only minutes from town, but with the feel that you are very much away from it all. We loved sitting on the verandah having dinner and drinks, and our 5 children loved the flat lawn area and going for little nature walks around the property. The cottage was very cosy and clean, would definitely recommend to other families. Check in and out was very simple and the hosts were friendly.

Beautiful views

A very beautiful spot looking up at the mountains and across the valley however the second couch was most uncomfortable, making relaxing by the fire difficult for two of us at once, one of the main purposes of our stay. Bathroom and kitchen a bit dated considering the the price of the accommodation, though the deck was a lovely spot to sit when weather allowed. Good to have a full oven and full size fridge and fire.

Love returning to Bellingen and this house! So relaxing sitting out on the verandah looking across to the mountains with a glass of wine. Then an open fire to enchant when you retire inside

We would have no hesitation to recommend this property to family and friends. The Cottage was well maintained, perfect outside deck with a great view for an afternoon cuppa or drinks before dinner. The bbq was a handy extra to enjoy the outside eating place on the deck. Our daughter joined us for 3 nights and she really enjoyed her stay. The Bellingen Show was on at the time, plus the perfect weather helped make the stay memorable. Rob

A little piece of paradise

We booked this cottage for three nights. It was amazing, beautiful and comfortable on the inside with the bonus of a big veranda looking out on to the mountains. It’s set in its own grounds so very peaceful but close enough to go to Bellingen if you want some hustle and bustle. Would highly recommend this property.

Tranquil solitude

We love staying at the cottage, this is our third stay. The cottage is perfectly located, quiet, tranquil and sitting on the balcony is our favourite thing to do. My kids love the wildlife and front yar space. The pool is fabulous and I love the fireplace.

Very happy with our stay. Well stocked with everything needed, and with quality products. All our needs were accommodated, and hosts always friendly. The view from the back deck is stunning, and the town close by. We enjoyed a swim daily in the pool, and would love to stay again.
