Tim was a lovely host and his cottage gave us (and the dogs) the R&R we needed on an interstate move. The bed was SO comfortable, I dont think ive ever fallen asleep as quickly in my life.

Thanks Ellen glad you found a restful stay at Guy’s Cross. And thank you for leaving the place so clean and tidy (also for bringing in the recycling bin! Above and beyond!)
This is a cosy and welcoming little bedsit. It’s very clean, quiet and comfortable. The host was absent during my visit (maybe that’s why it was quiet!). A pleasant short stay.
We had a lovely time at Guy's Cross farm. Our dogs loved the property and the walks, and Tim's dogs were very friendly. We particularly liked seeing the sugar gliders and the amazing variety of birds on the property. The cottage was perfect for us and had everything we needed. Tim was the best host and we would have liked to have stayed longer!
Quaint, beautiful surroundings. Lovely cottage, very friendly host who gave suggestions for places to visit and eat out. Also very close to Canberra and Queanbeyan plus other places of interest to visit.
Lovely farm stay. Cottage has everything you need and great place if you have a dog.
Easy to find. Great surrounds for walks.
Second time we have stayed and would definitely again.

Thanks Janet. I look forward to meeting you both next time. Always welcome. Tim
Very quiet and relaxing one-room cottage on an eco-friendly farm. Basic but with everything I needed. Very comfortable bed, lovely views and two friendly kelpies who were soon great mates with my two dogs. 10 mins from the centre of Queanbeyan which was perfect for me. Friendly helpful host (Tim kindly posted the phone charger I'd accidentally left behind)
We had the most amazing time, Tim was a great host and warmly accommodating, he took us to feed the sugar gliders on the first day, which my son loved! Our dog presto fell in love with his dog olive, we loved taking walks on the eco friendly property, encountered kangaroos and animals around the farm. It was just the best overall experience, we definitely look forward to staying again! Thank you Tim!
Had a lovely time, beautiful cottage with all the necessities and lovely farm scenery. Our two dogs loved playing with the other two farm dogs on the property.
Can walk through the olive grove and down to the dam on the farm, perfect spot to relax for a weekend.
Perfectly described, super clean and comfortable. The cabin was spacious and had everything needed, including a great air con as it was an extremely cold weekend. Tim was friendly and easy to communicate with, always quick to respond to any questions. We took our 3 small dogs and the cabin is a great set up for pets, with sensible flooring and a lovely property for them to explore with us.
Tim’s cottage is a lovely place to relax and just kick back. Even our pre-teenager enjoyed exploring the property and playing with friendly house dogs. Our city dog loved to roam free on the yard. Good option if you want to visit to Queanbeyan or Canberra but don’t want the city/town accommodation.
Our stay at Guys Crossing was lovely and comfortable and importantly was well set up to also host our dogs. The property itself is in a beautiful setting, peaceful yet only a short drive to Canberra and surrounds. Tim was a fabulous host and generous with his time. If there are any left, we recommend buying a bottle of the olive oil!!

Kirsten was a very easy guest and left everything extra clean and tidy. Highly recommended to other hosts.
We loved staying in this cosy cottage! It was a great home base for our Canberra adventures. Tim was such a lovely host and even took our little one for a ride on the farm vehicles, which was definitely a high point for her and a very special memory. His dogs were so sweet, friendly and calm, and got along with our cocker spaniel famously. We loved morning misty walks across the property with the dogs, and visiting the sugar gliders. We were super cosy and warm in the cottage, mid winter, and had everything we needed.
Located a short distance from amenities. Lovely bush location, the wildlife and birds were beautiful and the short walks around the farm were lovely. This is not suitable for people whose walking abilities are limited, as the area around the cabin is uneven. There is a dog pen to secured put your dogs, however they do have to be supervised so as not to chase the many kangaroos. A different experience, clean and comfortable.
This was a great farm stay. Tim was a great host. He was there for us when we had questions about the cottage, his farm, Canberra or Australia in general. And yet, he left us alone most of the time - it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city when we wanted and tour his farm and garden. Tim also had some good suggestions of different things to do and see while we were there. It was also interesting to see the olive plantation and oil processing operation - we wound up buying oil for a few friends back in the states. We would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants a laid-back farm stay that is still easy access to the capital city.
The property was easy to find after following the host's previous directions. Car parking is under a large shady car port attached to the cottage. After introducing myself to the host, we chatted briefly and then I unpacked and settled into the cottage. The description on the Stayz site is very accurate.I would advise guests to bring at least enough supplies for the first night as it's a fair drive back to the nearest shop.I was looking for a stay away from the noise of a town or city and Guy's Cross is just that - a very quiet farm stay with a hospitable host who is available to assist if required.I will probably stay there again if I'm in the area but if you have business in the centre of Canberra, allow at least 30 minutes of driving time
Love staying here, it’s awesome for dog friendly accommodation in the Canberra region. Tim is super easy to deal with and very helpful. Highly recommended
Our experience was very enjoyable. The ability to just relax and come and go, engage with the host and the great farm grounds and location all made our stay well worth while. On our visit, we noted the floor needed a better clean and our host apologised. Also we note that there needs to be a way to ensure that should guests bring their pets inside that deep cleaning of all surfaces and bedding and furniture is made to support those whom may have allergies.
Thanks Tim and Ros for a enjoyable stay.
