About this property
Walk downtown from this 1850 Antebellum home located in the Historic District
Located in the Wilmington Downtown Historic District , the Antebellum House is loaded with charm and elegance. Our goal in offering this suite to you is to bring you the character and history of our home , while still giving you modern conveniences and comfort.
Throughout this first floor suite you will find the charm of a home built ten years before the Civil War, such as beautiful plaster crown molding and original well maintained hardwood floors, while being upgraded to give you modern amenities to help you relax and enjoy your time. This rental is for ground floor only... the house was converted to a duplex in the early 1900's. My wife and I stay upstairs for most of the year and it is never rented. The upstairs has a separate entrance and there are no shared spaces.

The place was beautiful. Clean, Beautifully decorated, Provided guest items ( toothpaste, brush, floss, etc). The bed was very comfortable with elegant blankets. The patio in the enclosed yard has tablet and chairs with lights for a great place to relax in the evening. It is a quiet neighbor and we felt very safe.
Pet friendly, very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. Nice and private fenced garden with a porch. Comfortable bed and nice towels and linens.
Spacious, nice layout, bed was comfortable with "just right" pillows. Location was perfect for a nice walk to downtown. The off street parking was just right for our car. The location was a bit noisy being under the flight path and on Market street during the day. However, the noise went away before bed time. We would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I spent 4 days in this charming old home built in 1868. Located in a beautiful historic area that's only a 15 minute walk to downtown Wilmington. We both loved staying in this house. We highly recommend this place for a couple wanting to visit Wilmington.
Stayed here for a friend's wedding in downtown Wilmington. It was great, walkable to the venue downtown and the hosts had everything we could think of covered!
The house was awesome, we loved being so close to the river front and it was an easy drive for us to have beach days. Would definitely come back here again for another trip!
Really unique place for those who want to stay in a place with history. Close to everything and host responded quickly. Great little patio area. Would stay again if inthe area!
The Antebellum house was a great place to stay. It is an easy walk to downtown and there is plenty of on street parking. We enjoyed our stay there and hope to stay again next year.
Enjoyed our stay. Lovely historical home, very clean and good location. Host was very accommodating and home had everything we needed. Would definitely go back!
We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The house has everything you need, the location is perfect to walk downtown and it’s only a 20mins drive to Wrightsville Beach.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this historic home! The host graciously provided ample supplies of everyday items as well as towels. Our dog was comfortable with the porch and fenced side yard. The location was perfectly situated for site seeing and within walking distance of the waterfront, restaurants, and wonderful coffee house, Concorde Espresso Bar. We delighted in the fact that it was a fifteen minute walk to the waterfront and our vehicle never left the driveway!
