'Mountain Peeks', wonderful views, pet friendly, great interior

Sit on one of three decks and enjoy the spectacular Great Smokeys.. High enough for great views but with easy access all year long in 'The Cliffs', a small cabin community of 16 cabins along the road to Cataloochee Ski. 'Mountain Peeks' cabin is over 2,000 square feet: the first level features a living area with fireplace, tv, and fully equipped kitchen along with a master bedroom with queen bed, tv and bath and a guest bedroom with hall bath.


The lower level includes a large game room with game table, fireplace, wet bar with coffee maker and microwave with a beautiful bedroom with queen bed, tv and bath. A private deck rounds out the lower level. Enjoy privacy with a complete living area on each floor with cozy fireplace.

Fall brings the majesty of nature's paintbrush upon the mountains. Winter provides family skiing, tubing and white caps upon the mountains. Spring produces new growth, melting snows enhance the bountiful streams and waterfalls. Summer is a time of cooler temperatures for outside activities including the renowned Folkmoot. Throughout the year enjoy elk watching at Cataloochee National Park, hiking, the Blue Ridge Parkway, golfing, tennis, horseback riding and countless other activities .Lake Junaluska, 5 miles away, provides an exceptional and picturesque walk around the lake that is handicap friendly. Excellent Christian speakers and concerts are available during the year-check their website.A short drive to Asheville and you can enjoy the Biltmore House.

Our cabin is tastefully decorated in log cabin style making for a cozy retreat. It is our vacation home and quite homey, NOT A STERILE MOTEL ROOM. Snuggle in front of the gas log fireplaces with hot chocolate on cool nights. Enjoy relaxing in the front porch rockers, Breathe clean Mountain air while cooking steaks on the gas grill and enjoy God's creation. Or visit a variety of wonderful restaurants available locally.

Note the parking pad holds three vehicles, or two vehicles and a trailer no longer than a total of 20 feet. Arrangements must be made in advance if you have additional parking needs.

Very comfortable and cozy place. Great location to visit the Maggie Valley or do some sky. The only small downside is the presence of some personal clutter.

Perfect Maggie Valley Location

We stayed in this property during President's Day Weekend 2025. For those skiing, the property was close, on the same road as Cataloochee Ski Area. For those of us being lazy, the property was close to town but in the trees and quiet. The house and the furnishings were immaculate, and it is obvious the owners are conscientious. They were easy to work with and truly wanted us to enjoy our stay. I highly recommend.

Our stay was amazing, we loved waking up and seeing the mountains! The view was awesome ! The neighborhood was quiet which we loved ! Nice home in a great location

The house was very clean, bright, pretty decor, great views and more than enough room for the five of us. Easy to get to and close to attractions. The only drawback- highway traffic noise was quite loud, especially the motorcycles. Didn’t ruin our stay by any means but good to know if you’re looking for a very quiet setting.

Perfect cabin

Six adults stayed here for a bronco vehicle show in Maggie Valley. Perfect location, cabin was very clean & beautiful. Will definitely stay here again when coming to the area. Thank you for sharing your home away from home with us! We even seen an elk in the front yard/road while there.

This property from start to finish was TOP NOTCH! Everything was perfect including the property owner with great communication! This was perfect family getaway for our first real mountain road trip! When we were a bit younger we enjoyed bringing the grandkids up and going skiing with them. Alas our knees have given out and we do not get to enjoy Cataloochee.

Why they chose this property

We chose to buy in the mountains to enjoy the cool summers and skiing in the winter. It is relaxing to sit on the deck and read or just enjoy the view. Maggie Valley is a small, calm town away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Life operates on a much slower pace.
