Great Place!
We truly enjoyed this home with a homey feel. The interesting collections and decor really added to the feel that we were staying in a home as opposed to a short term rental.

The hosts of this lovely home truly created an atmosphere that was warm and inviting. We loved the location as we skied, dined, shopped nearby and were able to spend time with our dog at the Dana Thompson Park.
Great winter house to stay in, very close to the mountains. There is so much nearby to keep you entertained. The hosts were very responsive with any questions.

Really enjoyed the quiet privacy and the collection of small wood carvings and glass pieces throughout the house. Good wi-fi, too! The area around Manchester was lovely for exploring.

We had a fantastic weekend with friends The house was beautiful and very clean . Everything we needed was provided. The weather didn't cooperate but we were able to keep warm with the wood stove,it really added to the ambiance. We will definitely be back for another stay
Our stay could not have been better. The home is warm, clean and well equipped. The location is terrific. Deb the owner was helpful and kind but we certainly had our privacy. We loved our stay and will be back!
This home is unique and beautiful. The house has art on display throughout. The kitchen had all we needed, the backyard has beautiful flower beds, and it's only a short drive to town. Owner is very quick with communication.
The accommodation was possibly the best stay ever. I travel frequently and have seen lovely properties. Never one more lovely and homey. I would return in a heartbeat. Small glitch with WiFi was handle graciously and kindly by host. Perfect stay

Fantastic stay in Waterbury
We visited this lovely home for the occasion of our daughter’s wedding. It is right across the road from the venue, Levity Mountain Farm.
The home was beautiful, filled with incredible art by the owners and filled with anything you could
Imagine.
There was room to park, lovely out door space, beautiful views and it was a warm and comforting home. The owners were available and responsive. And kindly gave us some fresh garlic.
A complete joy to stay here.

From the owner: "Congratulations on your daughter’s wedding! and thank you so much for staying in our home and giving us a 5-star review!"
You would not know from the modern renovations that this home away from home was built in 1840. The first floor has the original fireplace as a centerpiece however the walls have been opened up to give it a clean, contemporary feel. The location is optimal as it is situated between Hildene (The Lincoln Family Home) to the north and mount Equinox Skyline Drive to the south. And it is a short distance to the very quaint town of Manchester Center, where there are excellent shopping and eating experiences.I used this house as a home base for my short stay (3 days) to visit the area. If I would have scheduled more time there, I might have taken advantage of the bonfire pit or the jacuzzi tub or the kitchen facilities, but maybe I'll plan for that next time.
This is a nice little house with a cozy feel, interesting decor, and a well stocked kitchen. It is well located near restaurants and shopping in Manchester, and about 20 minutes from Bromley for skiing, with Stratton and Magic Mountain both only slightly farther. Two things to know if considering renting this house are 1) it is right off a fairly busy road and 2) it is located basically in the front yard of the house where the owners live. We did feel that we had our privacy, but I don’t think it’s mentioned in the description of the house. The beds are not the most comfortable, the one in the larger bedroom feels small for two people and is very creaky with the slightest movement. Also, for tall folks, the shower will be challenging as it is under the slope of the roof. Overall, I’d say this is a good rental with a few things I didn’t love but no deal breakers.
We enjoyed our recent stay in Manchester. This home was the perfect Vermont stay if you want to be close to the town of Manchester and all of the local area activities. We enjoyed the screen/sun porch, where we had all our meals. The best part was dining with beautiful mountain views. The kitchen was a true Vermont hand crafted kitchen with everything you will need. The owners were very responsive and even gave us a suggestion for a local thrift shop. If you appreciate woodcrafting, this house has a ton of artisan woodcrafts made by the owner. An eclectic Vermont decor abounds this home.
We chose Manchester, having never been there before. So many excellent restaurant choices, interesting shops, beautiful buildings and homes. Well kept dog park. Places to visit like Hildene and Mt. Equinox.
The vacation rental was about 5 minutes from the center of the town, but it was out in the country with a lovely view of the mountains, spacious yard area to walk our dog. The home was comfortable with a well- stocked kitchen with all the amenities. Stairs were a little steep.
Nice layout with a cozy living room area. Owner available, helpful, friendly. Perfectly placed vacation rental - best of both worlds
These hosts are sharing their own home and everything is thoughtfully considered. The home is charming, clean, and comfortable. We liked it so much we stayed 5 weeks and would have stayed longer except they had another booking. I work remotely and internet was better than what I have at home. Manchester is a very few minutes away. Fresh bread and veggies available just across the road at Earth Sky Time farm. I also came home with some stunning earrings I bought from our jewelry-designing host! Highly recommend.

Charming, Rustic, Convenient to Manchester
The home oozes New England charm. It's literally filled with handmade wooden crafts and pottery, and the house itself is unique and extremely charming. The owners live in the barn just behind the house and were very welcoming. We hadn't expected the house to be on such a busy road which is quite noisy at all hours. Beds were soft and not terribly comfortable. I might stay again, though if I could, would probably leave the dogs at home and pick a hotel in town.

Hi Annette, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowners who would like to share the following:
-The property is located on one of the main roads, and there are times during the day when there is busier traffic. We're sorry if any noise affected your stay.
-While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattresses didn't meet your preferences. The beds are new and of high quality.
Thanks for taking the time to write your review!

This home had a lot of character! It had a wonderful kitchen, and it was easy to cook there. It had a beautiful dining room! We were there for Christmas and the owners put up some beautiful decorations, and a nice tree for us. Both of the hosts are creative types, and you could tell by the decor in the house. There was beautiful artwork all over. The hosts were helpful as they salted and sanded the walkway from the car to the house.
The very hospitable. The view from the house of the mountains was magnificent. We like how the house was conveniently located. It was close to Manchester Village and the center as well. We’re all the cute shops and outlets are situated. We look forward to or hope we are able to visit this home again.

Very nice, cosy home with road noise
We spent an early November week staying at this home along Historic Route 7 just south of Manchester Village. The house is a an old Vermont farmhouse that has been nicely renovated--very nice and fully stocked and functional kitchen, comfortable beds. For those interested, the carpentry work throughout is excellent! The artwork on display throughout the house is a real treat; some the work of the owners (woodturner of reputation). We were fortunate to have gotten an unusual week of sunny warm weather for November so we got to enjoy sitting out on the stone patio with a view of the valley and mountains to the east for lunch and a few early evenings drinking wine; relaxing!
It has been noted in other reviews, but I shall repeat. Getting in and out of the shower would be a challenge for shorter-legged folk; it has a big, high transition from the bathroom floor to the deep shower/Jaccuzi-type tub. Also, like some old Vermont farmhouses (I owned one just across the valley), it is situated close to the road; I would guess about 12 paces from the front door. "Old Route 7" as it is sometime referred to, has a lot of traffic traveling 40-50 mph with the most traffic in the early morning and evening.
Adorable VT farmhouse with huge backyard and view of the mountains. We had a wonderful time in Manchester (our second time staying in a VRBO in the area) and could not have been happier with our home-base. Lovely, eclectic interior that was just the right size for a family of 4 and our pug - who was very disappointed to leave. Our host was super responsive and we loved learning about the beautiful wood and glass art on display in the house. Wonderful property and visit to Manchester.
