Do you want a relaxing beach break in a quiet spot? Welcome to Raglan Cottage - the perfect choice for your beach break, for families, couples, or small groups. The house is a well-equipped, spacious 60's beach house with a new kitchen, comfortable beds and furniture, and everything you need for an enjoyable stay.
Take a 600m stroll to Culburra Beach; enjoy a barbecue on the huge, screened deck after a day at the beach or exploring the local attractions and watch the sun set over Curley's Bay. Wake up to water views from the 2 back bedrooms.

Culburra Beach is a tranquil village in the Shoalhaven area, north of Jervis Bay. It's a pleasant 2 ½ hour drive from Sydney and Canberra, this area has it all; safe swimming, great walks, idyllic scenery and plenty of opportunities for fishing, boating, bike riding, dolphin spotting, and photography.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas/ electric cooker, dishwasher, coffee maker (French press), fridge, electric jug, toaster, microwave, dinnerware, cutlery, pots and pans.

For entertainment: 50-inch smart TV; DVD player & movies (not Blu-ray); board games and books, NBN WiFi.
Please bring your own beach towels.

Children will enjoy the beach and the local skate park / playground. They can have "adventures" in the mangroves and play in the large yard.

Your supervised house-trained pet is welcome (please ask if you have more than one pet). Fenced area (down 1 side of the house) with a small dog door from the screened deck - backyard is not fully fenced. Bowls for pet food and water provided - you bring pet bedding. The beach is dog friendly 24/7 with off-leash times.

Local attractions:
Culburra Beach and surrounding areas offer you a variety of activities. Walks, swimming, surfing, body boarding, snorkelling, windsurfing on 4km of dog friendly Culburra Beach. Warrain Beach, another popular surf beach, is 3.5km away
Fishing both river and ocean. Orient Point & Crookhaven are great spots for fishing or wharf fishing at night on the Shoalhaven River. We recommend Nowra Fresh Fish Market and fish and chips at Pelican Rocks Cafe in Greenwell Point.
Rock climbing in Nowra
Launch your canoes and boats from the nearby boat ramps at Crookhaven Heads or Orient Point. Boating & kayaking, golf, tennis at local courts, BMX track and popular children's playground/skate park nearby. Horse riding

If hot water runs out change valve above gas bottles and tell us to order more. No pets on furniture or left unattended. You must clean up after them
Please put rubbish bins out on Wednesday night -collected early Thursday. Advise any breakages and repairs or maintenance needed.

Beautiful spot, great house, very private

We had a great time at Culburra beach. Raglan Cottage was a lovely property in a nice spot. The house is great, very private, plenty of space for our family of four, loved sitting out on the back deck as well. It was great to be able to bring our dog, the beaches near by are all dog friendly and ours had the best time. Highly recommend this holiday house,

Great getaway!

We had a great break over Easter and ANZAC day as a family, with some friends joining us during the stay. This is a lovely and super relaxing beach house, away from the crowds and backing onto a beautiful mangrove forest and estuary. I here are so many beaches and walks nearby to take the dog and for kids to roam around as they please. A lovely kitchen and deck at the back of the house made for a super relaxing stay for the adults.

Great beach property

Our extended family inc dog had a wonderful week at this casual low key beach side town. Property suited us very well and the one issue we had was resolved very quickly. Our welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch.

Tranquil family holiday

We had a great time - the house is neat and tidy and has everything we needed. We enjoyed the location - looking over the water and being able to walk to the beach. We were pleased to be able to take our dog and had fun playing board games that were provided. We hope to return.

Quiet Location

Property was clean and in a quiet location. Lots of books, games, etc available to enjoy while relaxing. Great kitchen and living areas. Beds were comfortable. Pooch loved the large yard to play fetch. A great property for a family holiday with pets.

Beach escape

Raglan Cottage was just what we need for our beach escape. The sunsets over the bay were spectacular to watch while enjoying a nice drink after a stroll along the beach with our woofie. The beach is only an 5 minute walk away and shops a casual 20 minute stroll. Christine ensured that we needed for nothing while we were there. Kitchen has everything you need, has an amazing oven!! And the three bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. It was so nice and quiet; great place to hide from the city.

Great little cottage

We had a lovely stay at Raglan Cottage. It’s simple but comfortable with an excellent renovated kitchen. We brought our small dog, and it was perfectly set up for her as well. The dog-off-leash beach down the road was perfect. Culburra Beach is a hidden gem of a location. Quiet, low key but with great amenities. Some of the local cafes were top notch. There were three patrolled beaches within an 8 minute drive plus a wonderful lighthouse walk. The cottage itself has lovely gardens, a large lawn and is very quiet. It was really relaxing, comfortable and practical. The vibe was exactly what we wanted in a summer beach holiday.

Rustic and Quiet

Raglan cottage was a lovely old house that was well appointed and served our family (3 teenage boys) well. The location was a drive away to Culburra shops and great coffee with beach, fishing spots and skate park close by. A good escape from the rat race indeed. The house however, was in need of a good clean and was internally very dusty and floors/walls not clean. Feedback on this was taken really well, and I thank Christine for her warm welcome and help when we were loooking for it for car trouble.

Simple & lovely

Our stay at Raglan Cottage was simply lovely. It’s a perfect little retreat for families. Highlights were waking up to a view of pelicans on the lake from the main bedroom and the kids found the bus in the yard a source of endless entertainment. The fully screened back deck meant we could have meals outside without the threat of mozzies and the short walk to the doggie friendly Culburra beach was a win. The cottage is simple but has everything you need.

This was the perfect place for our family holiday- we would have loved to stay longer!

Fabulous small beach town

Christine made us very welcomed. House was very much as described, beds were comfortable and kitchen was awesome. The house was walking distance to the surf beach but not near the flags. Access to the inlet from the back of property was possible . Great holiday.

Our Stay

From the initial contact with the owner, the whole booking process was friendly and seamless. The owner was so accommodating and her communication with me was sufficient without being either suffocating or lacking. Arriving at the house I was so impressed with its cleanliness and location, how abundantly stocked the house was with essential items and the overall aura of the home. I came from western Victoria to relax with family and friends and this home provided the perfect base for that to occur. Taking the dogs to the dog friendly beach each morning and afternoon for a swim was definitely the highlight of our stay. Returning to the house after our swim and kicking back on the verandah with some amazing local oysters and beers was the perfect end to each day. I cannot thank the owner enough for allowing us to share their little piece of paradise. We will definitely be returning.

Spacious yet cosy, Raglan Cottage has a nook for every family member to curl up in. The included linen and wifi meant no hidden costs on top of advertised price. Christine was a delightful hostess to deal with and made sure everything was running smoothly for us.

We had an excellent time at raglan cottage, and will definitely come again. Close enough to walk to the beach, a lovely enclosed deck area to prevent mosquito attacks, a good bbq we did all our cooking on. Everything we could need, including board games and a comfortable bed.

It's Curley's Bay waterfront and walking distance to the beach. A classic character beach house that doesn't feel suburban, within a comfortable driving distance from Canberra and Sydney. We were impressed by the superb large screened deck looking over Curley's Bay. We love being on the river and also close to the beach.
