Once a rundown beach shack, then an artists studio the Studio has been rescued to become a welcoming and comfortable holiday getaway for two. From the spacious open plan living and dining room double glass doors open to a large north facing deck which catches the winter sun, summer shade and sea breezes. The kitchen also has a door to the deck making alfresco dining a must. Open space and mature trees ensure that birdlife is abundant. To sit on the deck with your preferred beverage in hand and watch the birds take turns at the bird bath is a delight. You dog is welcome to come on holiday with you but please let us know at time of booking. There is a small charge. Built in the early 50's perhaps the Studio has absorbed memories of summer holidays that felt they would go on forever, long days on the beach and late nights sharing good times with families and friends. The beach is close by and is perfect for long strolls, watching the sun set, or rise, and exploring rock pools. Somers itself is a little off the beaten track but is well placed to explore the local eateries, wineries and other delights of the Mornington Peninsula and the secrets of Westernport. Whether you are looking for a nostalgic beach holiday, a romantic retreat, or to just relax and unwind we're confident that the Studio will work its magic. ...and only just an hour from Melbourne.

Cute little place and beautifully appointed!! Very comfortable and good size property for our dog to roam. Lots of treat surprises. Thanks B . great dog beach
i stayed with my dog here for 3 nights and we had a wonderful peaceful stay. it was very securely fenced and a short walk to the beach. the trees and surrounding yard was very magical. the fireplace was cosy. we loved every minute of it. i would definitely stay again.
Surrounded by trees and a short walk from a stunning beach.
The cabin was everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away.
Well appointed and very comfortable, the outdoor bathtub was a revelation, we highly recommend an outdoor soak under the canopy of pine trees and bird song.
Magical.
We thoroughly enjoyed our few nights at the Studio in Somers. Bronwen was awesome, so helpful and friendly. The studio is home from home, we were spoilt with some local produce too! Our pooch loved exploring the garden and we loved exploring the local area. Somers is a beautiful little place with lots of beach walks within a short distance. Would definitely consider returning there in the future! Thanks Bronwen, keep up the great work!!
This place is great for a couple- and pet friendly. We had a relaxing 3 nights here- Our host was attentive, dropping round freshly ground Coffee beans and advice for the area. Sitting at the dining table looking out onto the treed front yard definietly let us know we weren;t at home. easy access to a leash free beach meant our Dog child Ted had a great time.
Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect 3 day getaway. Felt very welcomed by our host Bronwen, who explained with great pride the history of how this cosy artists’ studio became such a rewarding creative space for her and her family.
Filled with delightful photography and textile prints, the cottage continues to wear its creativity with wholesome ambience and cosy style.
Our two Westies enjoyed the freedom of the fulled fenced space to run and explore, and the undercover north facing verandah was a joy to relax, and enjoy Bronwen’s son’s delicious artisan coffee…. or to sip on a local wine from the many famous peninsula wineries and cellar doors in the area.
The wood fire and the wall heaters added to the comfort of our short stay on this chilly weekend.
We are excited to have found this little slice of heaven, and look forward to our next holiday to re-live the wonderful time we had here.
Many thanks again Bronwen,

Stayed for a weekend in The Studio. Lovely wee property with a large garden which was great for our young dog to play in. Also close to off leash beach.

Beautiful Property
We had a great time staying at the Studio. Lovely place for a relaxing time away for two and was perfect for dogs with a fully secure yard. Bronwyn was a perfect host and was very helpful with recommendations. The Studio itself was lovely and well equipped, perfect for those that prefer more 'homely' accomodation.

Relaxing, warm and comfy - even in winter!
What a wild and wintery week! Rain, hail, wind...but no problems at the Studio :) With both heating and a wood fire (with heaps of firewood), along with a well equipped kitchen we had a fab stay there, walking/cycling/driving all over the peninsular, before coming home to our cosy home to enjoy local food and wine, reading and some TV. The Studio is full of eclectic art works, plenty of books and comfy chairs, creating a relaxing and warm place to 'just be'.

The perfect beach escape
My dog and I had the pleasure of staying at the Studio for a week. Bronwen, the owner is very welcoming. The Studio is a reflection of her generousity and eye to detail. We enjoyed long walks on the beach and cosy days by the fire reading from the provided "library" I will be recommending a stay at the Studio to my friends.

Wonderful property in gorgeous Somers
A very special place in a lovely little seaside town. The studio has all the amenities I required. The kitchen was a dream to cook in, then to sit on the deck with dinner a glass of wine, watching the wildlife pass by was the best way to spend an evening. It's a short walk to the beach, and upon arrival at the Studio, I was greeted by host Bronwen and also some local produce of cherries, ciders and treats from the General Store. It's a great stay, which I will definitely look to book again. Thank you!

cosy winter getaway
We found the Studio was perfect for the relaxing winter getaway we had planned. Furnished in a cosy but unfussy shabby chic style, with solid wood heater and lots of good quality firewood supplied. Quality touches like a lovely new kitchen with Smeg cooktop/oven, very comfortable bed and good linen/towels. Host Bronwen met us with a loaf of organic bread and had left some delicious bakery treats for our afternoon tea! Very doggie friendly with large front and back yard that is securely fenced. Easy walking distance to dog-friendly beaches and the corner store cafe. We loved it, and will definitely return another time.
