Beeches at Cape Schanck

If you're looking for a romantic escape or a family holiday with the dog, Beeches will accommodate for both. Beeches is an architect-designed mud brick/timber house nestled amongst the tall pine trees, with four bedrooms and an open living area with a wood fire heater. Picture yourself relaxing in the claw foot bath or enjoying a meal on the extensive outdoor deck.

Accommodation Details

Beeches is a beautiful double story, Cape Cod-style cottage. With brick floors, mud-brick walls and recycled timber throughout it has a unique rustic charm that is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Downstairs is comprised of an open plan kitchen, dining area, sitting area, and tv lounge; as well as a spacious double bedroom, separate toilet, bathroom with shower over a claw foot bath and a laundry with washing machine and laundry basin.

The upstairs plan consists of two large queen size bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, a cosy bunk room and separate toilet with basin. The main queen size bedroom has a balcony overlooking the backyard, perfect for morning coffee or afternoon tea.

Sleeps: 8 adults: Tenants are to bring their own linen; top and bottom sheets, pillowcases and towels. Linen and towels can be supplied for $40 per person.

Cape Schanck

Cape Schanck is a quiet village situated on the Mornington Peninsula, 75 minutes from Melbourne, with an abundance of activities and sights to see. Offering some of Melbourne's best; surfing, bushwalking, horse riding, day spas, dining, wine and cheese tasting- the list is endless, all within a short drive from Beeches. Beeches is within easy walking distance to RACV Cape Schanck Golf Course and only a few minutes drive to many other golf courses including; The National, Eagle Ridge and Moonah Links.

A short drive from Beeches down Cape Schanck Road takes you to the Fingal picnic area and the starting point to kilometres of beautiful coastal bushwalking, with access to Fingal Beach, and Gunnamatta beach to name a few. The next stop in the car takes you to the coastal feature the town is named after - Cape Schanck. At this rocky point is the Cape Schanck lighthouse which was built in 1859 out of local limestone and features a rare spiral staircase made from stone.

Beeches at Cape Schanck is the perfect peaceful getaway with all that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer only a short drive away.

Wonderful property

Great house, well appointed and plenty of room for extended family Easter! The kids loved the back garden, especially the swings and it was ideal for an Easter egg hunt! Beds all comfortable, kitchen easy to use with everything at hand. Great quiet location near the lighthouse & midway between Flinders and Rosebud (15 mins in either direction). Would love to come back!!

Warm family home

Really enjoyed that it was clearly a loved family home. The 4 year old in our party loved all the toys to play with. The back garden was great to explore too. Having three double beds suited us too with our family. Cape Schanck is a great area to explore too. Thanks so much for the stay.

A great house for dogs and kids

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. The garden was nice and secure for our doggos, and the fire really pumped heat up and throughout the house. A cosy getaway which is suitable for dogs and/or kids.

What a lovely property! The hosts are super helpful (even when I was a bit of a numpty!). The place is clean, well supplied, unique in its design and so quiet. Perfect location being just 15 mins from either Rosebud or Flinders. We will come back again, everyone loved it. Thank you!

Cosy large house full of character

We enjoyed our stay and found the place clean and comfortable. Had a problem with a gas leak coming from the oven which was dealt with promptly by the owners. Don't forget there is no WiFi!

Communication was prompt and friendly. 'Beeches' was the homely, comfortable, peaceful and well priced stay on the peninsula that we were looking for. Kitchen facilities, with pretty new oven were good. Had some trouble getting tv reception but wasn't really needed (because we went away to get away from all that) and so didn’t try getting in touch with the hosts to resolve. Well fenced for dogs.

Not great for international visitors as you have to bring your own linen and in today’s connected world, no WiFi is not satisfactory but the owners state that was the case on the listing. Bring your own chiropractor as the beds are very soft. Appreciate the owners were very responsive. Probably a better place for local visitors.

Peaceful relaxing honeymoon staycation away.

This is actually our 2nd time staying at this magical cottage away, but our first time as husband and wife, as this stay was our honeymoon.Love the peace and restful quiet, being able to take our greyhound son with us, and all the fun things to do around the area from beach walks to garden mazes.This cottage holds a very special place in our hearts, and we will definitely be coming back again

Charming Cottage

What a lovely, character filled property. It felt like stepping back in time, yet the property had all the mod cons. The house was very well maintained and the backyard was sizeable with different zones for play and exploration. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at the property.

Quiet part of the Peninsula

Lovely Christmas stay at this delightful house. Surrounding areas can get quite busy at this time of year - but Cape Schanck remained quiet. Easy access to either side of the Peninsula for beach visits. Beautiful walks to enjoy along nearby tracks. Thanks to the hosts.

Location was perfect for us as we were walking distance away from the venue we were attending. A wonderful price for the size of the property. Just perfect

Five of stayed at Beeches for a week of golf. We had stayed here several years ago and the house is still perfect for our needs. It is lovely sitting on the back deck viewing the beautiful garden. It’s a great location that is so close to the adjacent golf courses. The house is very comfortable with everything one would need.

Long weekend away

The house was amazing and in a beautiful peaceful location but central to all the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. We had lovely stay and our dog loved lounging in the backyard. If golf is your thing Cape Schanck is just next door and the fantastic Bushrangers bay trail is 5 minutes down the road. Highly recommend
