My wife and I stayed here for an anniversary trip and we were very pleased with this property. The cleanliness was exceptional! The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs. We spent most of our time around the outdoor fireplace. The neighbors feed the deer, so it was enjoyable to sit around the fire and watch them feed and play. The location was just wanted we wanted. A place by the river, which was very nice to listen to. Jodi is a great host. Communication with check in and check out was a breeze. Thanks, Jodi! I hope there is availability for our next trip. We very much enjoyed this property!
Very nice house and great property overall. We enjoyed our stay. Well stocked kitchen, so meals are easy. Far enough from town to really enjoy the quiet, but close enough to still enjoy downtown BR.
The property was just what we expected based on the listing. It was clean and spacious and the location was exactly what we wanted and just a short 20 minute drive into downtown Blue Ridge.
Had a great time even though it rained most of our stay. House was clean and wonderful! Nice escape from the kids! We really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace under the covered porch. Best spot in the house.
We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was clean, the beds and the living spaces were comfortable and the kitchen was big enough and well equipped to make meals if we wanted to stay in. The river was so nice to sit down by every evening and we even got to enjoy the patio fireplace in September! I would definitely recommend this beautiful home. Thank you for sharing this special place with us!
We have just left this property after 5 days of peaceful bliss! The cabin met all of our family’s needs for a Happy Thanksgiving week and we were treated by Owner/Management with hospitable accommodation to all of our requests. Great neighbors and friendly locals made it an experience that we will be looking to repeat as soon as possible! Thanks, Jodi from everyone in our family, including our fur babies!

Blue Ridge Escape
If you are looking for an escape from the city, this is the perfect getaway house. The house is beautiful, very clean and big enough for 2 families with kids. We loved sitting on the screened porch and watching the deer come out at dusk. In the summer months there is nothing better than playing in the river and when it is a bit cooler you can find us in front of the fireplace! We just can't say enough wonderful things about the house and we can't wait for our next visit!

We are thrilled you enjoyed your visit and hope you will come back again soon!
Not only is Jodi an exceptional host (responsive, helpful, accommodating, and friendly), but the home is beautiful! We've stayed 2x now and both times have been perfect. The kids love having the basement area all to themselves and the parents love the outdoor porch area with a wood burning fireplace. For our party of 8 there is plenty of room inside and out - at mealtime we can all sit around the huge dining room table and we can play outside on large grassy areas next to the driveway or down by the river. We love the property and appreciate the host!

Gorgeous property!
Wow, what a great spot on the river! The home itself is gorgeous, well-maintained and well-equipped. High-end finishes, furniture, etc which is a welcome change from many pet-friendly rentals. The property was also very lovely and we enjoyed sitting down by the fire pit and next to the river. The fishing wasn't great as there had been quite a bit of rain and the river was fast-moving. My husband wants to come back and try fishing again, we loved our stay!

Thanks so much for your review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come back to visit us again soon :)
We stayed 4 nights to enjoy the area to hike and explore. The house is very clean, and the kitchen is well stocked. The memory foam beds are very firm. The bunk beds are noisy and a bit hard. The views of the river and property are great, lots of room. The hot tub is wonderful. There is plenty of room to spread out, play games, read, work, etc. the WiFi worked well when we needed to work. It’s about 20 minute drive to Blue Ridge and near the Aska trail system.

Great Family Weekend!!
We enjoyed our stay so much at your beautiful cabin. We loved the cabin and it was furnished so nicely and the beds were very comfortable. The porch was our favorite place to gather with a real roaring fire. The water was low in the river but my husband and son-in-law still tried to fly fish but did not have much success but they enjoyed trying. There is plenty of parking space, kitchen is stocked very nicely as we cooked quite a bit and enjoyed that. It was just a beautiful, relaxing weekend and the fall foliage was awesome. The owners were very accomodating with answering my emails with questions and also the management service was very helpful with our one question after we arrived. We look forward to coming back.

Perfect Setting
My husband and I enjoyed five nights at River Meadow. The mountain and river view was wonderful. My husband enjoyed having such easy access to the river and we both enjoyed hearing it from the deck and porch. We watched the fog lift above the river as the sun rose over the meadow each morning. It was a very peaceful and restful place. The deer grazed on the other side of the river and then we saw them playing in the meadow in front of the house one morning. We were so pleased with the house. So beautiful and comfortable as well. Very modern and well constructed. The screened in porch with a wood burning fireplace was a favorite for us. The house is very open and roomy. We did not even use the bottom floor since it was the two of us. But, plan to return with family and will be so accommodating for us all. Thanks for opening and sharing your place of rest with us.

I am so glad you enjoyed your trip and Happy Anniversary!! Hopefully it was the rest and relaxation that you were looking for and we look forward to having you back soon!
I normally don’t write reviews. But everything about this vacation was amazing. I’ve rented several cabins in the past. You always look at the pictures, read the reviews. The good and the bad. Then you hope that it’s halfway more on the good side. This cabin was better than we imagined everything about it was beautiful. Our son and his family came up from Florida and we came down from Nashville, to spend good quality time together at Thanksgiving. We loved the round table so we could all eat together and talk. The fireplace on the screened in porch was so cozy. The last night we went down by the creek I had a bonfire roasted hotdogs and s’more’s. Perfect peaceful setting. We had plenty of room and it was fun playing air hockey and pool with the kids. It’s close to the tree Farm where my son And his family loves to go every year and cut down their Christmas tree. We went to the Lilly Pad Village just down the road. Everyone there was so nice and we got some Beautiful gems. When we first got there I noticed that all the trash cans were full and I looked in the guest book. It had that trash pick up were only on Fridays and this was Tuesday. I knew there was no way that we would have any room to put our trash so, I called the office. They were very nice and came out that day. The owner of this property Jodi Halpert was so sweet! I messaged her with so many questions before we came down and she always responded quickly and politely. If you’re looking for the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life this place is perfect.

Wonderful, quiet property. The only things I would recommend are: iron and ironing board, chairs for the firepit by the river, some type of lighting next to the grill area, and a better satellite connection for TV upstairs. Other than that, it was perfect.
