The children will be thoroughly entertained with the springfree trampoline, cricket/soccer/footy field (complete with footy goals), basketball/netball half court and masses of space to run around and explore. You can relax by the solar heated swimming pool (12 metres long x 4 metres wide) which offers a shady deck area, or sunny grassed area. An easy afternoon can be spent in the hanging egg chairs.
The house is open planned and has 2 living spaces (both with wall mounted Smart TVs and one with a PlayStation3), both have reverse cycle heating/air conditioning units in each living room which flows through the house. There is an open fire place in the dining area, and a wood fireplace in one living room.
There are 4 bedrooms in the house and a 5th bedroom which offers further privacy in the self contained bungalow. The European laundry has a washing machine and dryer. The main bathroom has a bath and a separate toilet and the master bedroom has an ensuite. The kitchen has a coffee machine and dishwasher and the house is fully equipped with WiFi. The back deck has another sitting area as well as the outdoor kitchen, including a pizza oven. This really is "one with the lot".
If you choose to leave the sanctuary, you can walk 600 metres to the entrance of the Rye Back Beach, or drive 6 kms to the Rye Front Beach and shops. There is a great walking/bike track that takes you 2.2km to the back beach strip of shops, or further on directly to the front beach. Felt like a home away from home and was perfect for a family holiday. The place was comfortable and well set up, and the host was really easy to communicate with throughout. Would happily stay again.

Clean, well appointed, beautiful house. Loved the heated pool, fire pit and the gorgeous property, it's tucked away and private so no neighbours breathing down your neck. Can't fault it, it was great!

Great property. Perfect weather, but a couple of banana lounges around pool would have been great.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the property. The weather caught us by surprise and the sun lounges were stored in the shed. We have put them all out by the pool now.
We are a multigenerational family and this property is almost perfect. The pool has shallow and deep ends, is completely secure and has a really comfortable cabana. Rolling woods, tree swings, trampoline, a good range of utensils and games, it is all round recommended.

We're so pleased your extended family had such great time, enjoying all the property has to offer. We hope you can stay with us again soon.
We had a brilliant week at A Symphony of Sun and Sea. The house location is excellent, and we walked to both Rye Ocean Beach and St Andrew's Beach. It's also quick drive to the shops and amenities at Rye.We enjoyed time at the property and felt 'away from it all', appreciating the large surrounds and pool area. The house itself was spacious and clean. The floor-to-ceiling windows were spectacular. The one downside for us: the number of toilets, as there are only 2 loos in the main house.

Thanks Bronwyn - we're pleased you enjoyed the space and had an excellent weekend away with the extended family.
A lovely light, airy home with big windows looking out on the beautiful property which is so private with fantastic outdoor areas. We were fortunate to have great weather which allowed us to utilise the beautiful pool and generous outside spaces to the fullest. Extremely well equipped inside and out. Other than to go, for a walk or to the shops we had no need to leave the property. A few minor maintenance issues to address eg: the back flywire screen door didn't run smoothly, back deck needs some attention, showing some signs of general wear and tear.
An oasis with peaceful surrounds, the sounds of nature and really comfortable accommodation for our family group of 8 adults and 2 small children. We had a great extended weekend.

Leaking House
Disappointed.
Several internal leaks, caused loss of power, lighting, heating.
We could not complete our stay because of these conditions.
Power outage on Thursday evening for a couple of hours. Hence, no lights, no heating, no hot water.
There was only one torch, no candles that we could light.
A very bad smell coming from under the kitchen sink.
Numerous leaks in the house.
The leak in the toilet most likely from the exhaust fan,
Leaks were running down the wall above the doorway from the dining area to the bathroom, as well as from the same area to the bedroom closest to the toilet.

Hi Kathryn - as discussed, the weather was terrible over Easter and due to the storms there was a power outage in many areas, so it was not just this property that was effected.
There are two wood fireplaces that could have given you heat during the black out and there are 3 torches at the house plus everyone's Iphone torches. We had painters in during the week leading up to your stay that had painted the roof and must have moved some roof sheets which unfortunately caused some roof leaks. This has now been totally rectified. We gave you a refund due to this inconvenience.
Also, we noted that you didn't leave early as we came to inspect the property after you were due to have left and you were still there.
I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, as we work hard to ensure all of our guests have a fabulous experience.
Regards, Kristen.
It was amazing!
We had the best time.
The accommodation was fantastic.
The house had everything we needed for a great weekend! We didn’t need to leave the property for anything.
Kristen and Simone made the booking process extremely easy. And were very quick to reply with any queries I had.
Very thoughtful hosts... Upon arrival the heaters were on, which made the house warm and inviting to enter.
The wood I had pre-purchased was there and waiting at the front door. Again very easy to organise. Kristen did a great job arranging that for us.
The house was warm, clean and the bedding was comfortable.
The only thing I could suggest would be to have electric blankets on the beds. Apart form that it was perfect.
The property itself is beautifully nestled within the dunes, which makes it very private.
The yard is large and provided lots of things to entertain ourselves with outside.
Short walk to the open beach.... please note: that St Andrews Beach is not dog friendly (in case you are traveling with your pet).
Sorrento and Rye Back Beach are only a short drive and both were dog friendly.
Would definitely recommend a stay at the ‘Symphony of Sun & Sea’.
It really was a beautiful place to stay.
