HILLSIDE COTTAGE is a beautiful 1843 attached cottage located in the centre of Historic Berrima village. Moments away from all this village has to offer. Located close to many of the Southern Highlands wedding venues with the beautiful Bendooley Estate just 2km away.
It is the perfect venue for smaller groups attending local weddings or for groups and couples wishing to enjoy all that the Southern Highlands has to offer. We are set up perfectly for 6 guests to linger in and around the cottage. There are over 18 local wineries and some top class golf courses. It is only 90 minutes from both Canberra and Sydney.
There are 3 beautiful heritage decorated bedrooms All bedrooms and the lounge have ensuite bathrooms.
It is centrally heated in the winter and 50cm walls plus ceiling fans keep it cool in summer.

COTTAGE LOUNGE Feature Fireplace (not in use). Central heating. A portable Aircon unit. ( during the warmer months). Ceiling Fan. TV. DVD player. A selection of DVDs and Board games. Bathroom.
COTTAGE KITCHENETTE: This has been sympathetically renovated to showcase the original cottage kitchen. It is an interior room. No outside windows. It is set up as a kitchenette with a mini microwave, 2 burner induction stovetop and a small retro fridge. There is a Nespresso coffee maker, a Delonghi 4 slice toaster and kettle. A pull out table to seat 6.
BEDROOM ONE: The Hay Room. Queen size 4 poster bed with ensuite bathroom. Central heating. Fan.
BEDROOM TWO: The Brady Room. Queen size sleigh bed with ensuite bathroom. Central heating. Ceiling fan.
BEDROOM THREE; The Garden Room. Queen size 4 poster bed with ensuite bathroom. Central heating. ceiling fan. This room is separated from the cottage living area hence it has its own coffee and tea making facilities. It also has its own private courtyard.
Cottage Verandah: There is a beautiful cottage verandah for you to enjoy. The main house gardens are not available to guests.

BERRIMA VILLAGE AND SURROUNDS:
Berrima Village is one of the most beautiful “Historic” Villages in Australia and is widely recognised as the best preserved example of a Georgian village in Australia. It is located in the Southern Highlands with easy access to the towns of Bowral, Mittagong and Moss Vale.
Just a kilometre away is the popular wedding venue, the Bendooley Estate which includes the historic Berkelouw Book Barn while the Centennial Vineyards wedding venue and winery is less than 10 minutes drive away.
The villages of Robertson and Burrawang are 15 minutes drive away, as are the stunning Fitzroy Falls.
Berrima also provides easy access to over 18 local wineries.
Restaurants and Café's: Berrima has become known as the gastronomic centre of the Southern Highlands. There is a fine -dining restaurant called "Eschalot" and the highly regarded "Josh's Cafe". It also has numerous other highly regarded cafes and patisseries including “The General Store”, “Gumnut Patisserie” and the "Magpie Cafe".

We have two Golden Retrievers in our attached home. Our young boy Alfie loves other dogs and will be excited all the time if he knows one is next door.

The area's natural beauty can be seen at Mount Gibraltar Reserve and Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve, while Berrima Courthouse and Berrima District Historical & Family History Society Museum are cultural highlights. Bendooley Estate Book Barn and Leighton Gardens are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.
