Seascape Holidays House at 53 Reef Street

53 Reef Street is located only a short drive away from the centre of Port Douglas. The house is fantastic for that quiet and relaxing holiday that is just far enough away from bustling town noise but only steps from the famous 4 Mile Beach. Fully self contained for all your family gathering needs. BBQ area at the back and plenty of room for the children to play in the large back yard area.

Only a short walk away from the 'Tavern', family restaurant, bottle shop, fish and chip shop. If you don't have a car, a bus stop is just around the corner for easy access to the many restaurants and shops in Port Douglas town centre.

What we love about it
Close to the beach and live like a local. Pets are allowed too!

We didn’t enjoy our stay at the property it was dirty and old and outdated.

It was a waste of our money, we ended up getting another apartment to stay in for the rest of our stay. Only the dogs stayed there!

I had a conversation with Tom from Seascape, very unpleasant. He claimed to be an effective communicator. He has sent emails to communicate with me. Ticked his responsibility sheet. NO PERSONAL CONTACT. I made the booking through Stays, did not know who Seascape was. I did not know where to get the keys were , driving around for an hour as offices were closed, personnel not there, not a number to cal?? We were searching for Stays?Place was dirty, blood on the bbq area floor, grass wasn't cut for about three weeks. Chairs broken - safety hazards and bbq wasn't working - "out of gas". House clean and as was expected. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TREATMENT AND SERVICE FROM TOM, the Agent from Seascape. Please replace your Agent. I'm p[repared to discuss and show photos to Owner.Koos Roux

Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed by your comments as they contain several factual inaccuracies. You state there was "no personal contact." This is incorrect. I personally spoke with you by phone and then provided a detailed written response addressing every concern despite your rudeness. Your booking confirmation and arrival emails identified Seascape Holidays as the manager and included clear self check-in instructions and a 2:00 pm check-in time. Had these instructions been followed, you could have accessed the property directly without attending our office. Instead, you arrived at 1:00 pm stating you had been "driving all over town" looking for the keys, despite confirming you had received the instructions. Before check-in, you called demanding the lawns be mown immediately and alleging there was blood near the BBQ. We sent our gardener that afternoon as a courtesy. He confirmed the lawns had been mown the previous week (they are maintained fortnightly) and found no blood. When advised he would return the next day for the scheduled mow, you insisted he "do them now." The following morning you reported the BBQ gas bottle was empty, which we replaced the same day. Our gardener, handyman and office staff all independently reported that your interactions with them were rude and demanding. We responded promptly to every issue raised and stand by the professionalism of our team. We respectfully disagree with your characterisation of the service provided.

Fairly good place

The property is a little dated & in need of some repair. It was reasonably clean though & everything worked. It was large enough for just the 2 of us and would be ok for a larger group.
