In these harsh days of Covid-19, we want to share our space with people who need a relaxing beachside break.
We love staying at our two-bedroom beach shack at White Beach, a two kilometre stretch of white sand edging a turquoise bay, shallow and calm, excellent for swimming and family water fun. The beach is pristine, there are birds everywhere, the sky is always changing, as is the light on the hills.
Did you know you can see Mt Wellington in Hobart from the beach?
Your access to the beach will take less than a minute, depending on whether you take one of the paths leading to the beach directly across from the house, or choose to walk to the pathway at the bridge (2 minutes away).
The main bedroom and living area have beach views, all day, every day.
The kitchen is well equipped with crockery and cutlery, appliances and gadgets. You can cook up a wonderful meal with everything you need on hand. DO use the dishwasher as it saves on water. (The house runs on tank water, so in summer, please keep this in mind.)
A selection of good glassware will allow you to accompany your meals with whatever beverage takes your fancy.
There is a leaf teapot and a ground coffee pot, as no one can begin a day without one or the other.
The dining table and six chairs make dinner special.
The deck has a six-seater table and six deck chairs (stored in the shed).
There is a gas-fired BBQ and an umbrella for you to use, as well.
The sitting area is very comfy - light-filled all year round from the large windows. There is a couch begging for afternoon nappers, a TV and DVD/CD player. There are books, movies, music and games for your pleasure.
Light the fire in winter. Be careful though to not overfill, as the house heats very quickly.
The main bedroom has a queen-size bed fitted with cotton sheets. Cotton towels are provided.
The second bedroom has a single bed and a bunk, also fitted with cotton sheets.
A spacious shower, separate toilet and washing machine plus iron etc are off the sitting area.
The house is connected to the NBN and enjoys fast WIFI.
If you like fishing, there are some rods in the shed and a tackle box.
Pademelons, bandicoots and possums visit during the night. Red-breasted robins, blue wrens and other birds visit doing the day.
The house is located about 12 kms of Port Arthur and the McHenry whiskey and gin distillery, a little further to the Lavender Farm, and a stunningly beautiful 20-minute drive through farmland and forest to the Un-Zoo. A little further on is Eaglehawk Neck where history and coastline meet. Take advantage of the many walks - short and long - that are in this area, as well as apprising yourself of the brutal First Nations and convict histories.

Everything was OK (location, quiet, amenities, mattress, wifi...)
Cleaning can be improved.
Nothing to see with the relax by the sea, but a lot of mosquitos
The location was amazing, with beautiful views through the trees and over the bay. The accommodation was cozy and had a beach holiday feel about it. Very clean and everything we needed was there. The fishing rods even catch fish. It was very relaxing and we will be returning. Thanks Janice
Very nice location, right above the beach, nice views. Excellent property, well furnished and lots of extras, tea, coffee, spices, games, books. Stayz(Vrbo) gave us the wrong entry code, but fortunately the owner sent us the right one, so we could get in on the second attempt.
Property was comfortable and well-appointed in a great location. A great place to stay if you want a peaceful holiday. We went to the beach every day, sometimes to swim but walked along it every night. There are other great beaches for swimming a small drive away.

An easy and lovely drive straight from Hobart Airport. Easy access to everywhere on the Tasman Peninsula. A beautiful view from the kitchen, living area and bedroom and a lovely bay and beach for a relaxing walk. The house was perfect for our family of 5 to begin our Tasmanian adventure.
Best equipped house we’ve stayed in, and the best shower! Decking is perfect for relaxing and wasting a few hours with a book in the sun. Good base for sightseeing.
There was everything you would need for your stay there was everything there that you would have at home so nothing was forgotten very cosy and clean ideal for summer or winter fabulous views the beach was directly across the road would highly recommend it

Had everything you need for cooking. Quite with a good view. Only thing it needs is a mirror above bathroom sink for shaving.
Impressed with outlook and accomadation for the price. Accomadation was very comfortable, very well equipped kitchen.Everything needed and more. Great selection of books, games and Dvds for rest days. Overlooking water, with a big long white beach 2 minutes away. Located 7 minutes drive to supermarket and bottle shops. A base for day or half day sightseeing trips around the peninsular. Would be happy to come back anytime!
We had a relaxing week staying at this cosy cottage. This is our second visit. It has everything we needed to be self-contained but is also close to great cafes and eating places. This views and outlook are beautiful with a lovely bush setting to enjoy the local birdlife.
There is some road noise but as this is a quiet area it didn't interrupt our visit. There is no heat pump but the firebox keeps things cosy warm on a cold day.
A five minute walk to beautiful White Beach which is great for walking, swimming and boating.
It's a great place to enjoy all that the Tasman Peninsular and the Port Arthur region has to offer. We highly recommend it.
During our stay, I was constantly reminded of our honeymoon. My husband loved waking up to the sound of birds singing and the waves rolling in. The house is heated by a log burner that was already set up for us; we just needed to light a match. The furnishings were very comfortable, as was all the outdoor furniture, including a hammock on the front veranda. Everything had been done to ensure a comfortable and peaceful stay for both couples and families.
In the morning, we enjoyed lovely walks along the beach, feeling the sand between our toes, collecting shells, and planning our day's activities. After dinner, we would take another leisurely and romantic stroll along the beach in the moonlight. It was truly a wonderful experience.
To coin a phrase, "I'll be back"
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights with my son and his girlfriend. We loved the place! It was really comfortable for relaxing in the evenings, and we found everything we needed to cook meals and keep ourselves entertained. There was plenty of wood, and once we got the hang of the woodburner, we kept ourselves warm and cosy, despite the rain and cold.
White Beach is a really friendly area, and with amazing walks and good shops nearby, it's a great place for a holiday.
The area was very quiet, with great views across the bay and easy access to the beaches. Not to far from the National Parks and had several areas of interest such as Port Arthur and the Devils Kitchen close by.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
We throughly enjoyed our stay at their property, unfortunately on the second night the power went out for all of white beach so that dulled our trip a bit, but the house is well stacked with things to keep you busy
