Located across the road from the beach, with stunning views of the ocean and islands right across the bay, from the Bluff to central Victor Harbor, you will be entranced and calmed in all kinds of weather.
Victor Harbor is a 1 hour drive south of Adelaide, 72kms from the airport, on the Fleurieu Peninsular via McLaren Vale.
This beach house has 2 balconies, 2 large living areas, 4 bedrooms comfortably sleeping up to 13, 3 bathrooms and a huge backyard, and is across the road from the beach. Suitable for couples, and multiple families.
With high ceilings and spacious rooms, your family can spread out in air conditioned comfort, or open the huge windows and enjoy the sun and fresh sea air.
Bedroom Configuration:
1. King size bed and ensuite bathroom
2. Queen bed
3. Queen and 2 single beds
4. Trio - double bed with single overhead, port-a-cot
5. Double sofa bed in pool room.
All linen(sheets, pillowcases, towels,facewashers, bathmats, tea towels) are BYO or can be hired through Victor Linen Service Online for $24-28 per bed.
Upstairs, the kitchen opens onto a balcony, has lots of bench space and breakfast bar, dishwasher, walk-in pantry, multi function oven and gas hot plates, microwave, food processor, coffee machine(BYO ground coffee), and large fridge/freezer.
The dining table seats 10, the lift-up coffee table seats 2, and a highchair is provided. There is also a large folding table which seats 8, so set up your holiday activities without having to pack them away at meal times. There are puzzles, cards, and board games for all ages provided.
The large living area has many windows, so you can enjoy the ever changing ocean views from anywhere inside or from the huge balcony, or on cooler days, bask in the sunshine streaming through the windows on the northern end.
Put your feet up on the large leather reclining lounge suite and gaze out at the panorama, or watch the flat screen TV while you sip your coffee or wine.
Free Wi-Fi and Netflix are also available.
Step out onto the balconies where there is a BBQ, dining settings for 12, and additional outdoor chairs.
The main bedroom has a kingsized bed with pillowtop mattress, walk in robe and ensuite, with doors opening on to the balcony.
The 2nd bedroom has a queensized pillowtop mattress, built-in robes and has the family bathroom and separate toilet alongside.
Downstairs is the 3rd bedroom with a queen sized bed and 2 single beds, and built-in robe.
The 4th bedroom has a trio bed, (a double bed with a single overhead), and a port-a-cot.
Most beds have electric blankets. Linen(sheets, pillowcases, towels) is BYO or can be hired for $24-28 per bed from Seabreeze Services.
The 3rd bathroom has a shower and separate toilet, next to the laundry which has an automatic washing machine, iron and board.
Downstairs, the second living area features a billiard table, a 3 seater leather sofabed, a flat screen TV/DVD player and bar fridge. There is also a mini kitchen with microwave, toaster and kettle. Garage houses a table tennis table.
The huge backyard can be used for cricket, skateboarding etc with parking for many cars, a boat or caravan.
DINING OUT
Morning coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner are available from Whalers Inn across the road, or a 10 minute walk (2 min drive)along the walking track to the Beach House Café and Yilkie General Store, or the Lakeside Café a further 10 minute walk (2 min drive)down the road.
Victor Harbor has many hotels and restaurants, and take-aways within 7 kms, or drive to Pt Elliot, Middleton or Goolwa, all within 20 minutes, or Yankalilla or Normanville, about 40 kms. Visit the famous bakeries in every town.
Major grocery stores(Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and IGA) are all within a 10 minute drive, open from 6am to 10pm.
WHAT TO DO ..... the list is endless .......
Across the road the walking/bike track winds along the beach, watch the pelicans and other sea birds, or fish from the breakwater. Occasionly see dolphins and seals in the bay.
Launch your kayak or boat from the boat ramp, meet the dolphins around Wright Island.
5 minute walk or 3 minute drive to the Bluff, caste your line from the jetty and catch a fish.
15 minute walk/3 minute drive to Kent Reserve, with BBQs, children's playground and adult outdoor gym.
10 minute drive to the central Victor Harbor - children's playground, teens playground and skatepark, minigolf, camel and pony rides. Walk across the causeway to Granite Island or catch the horse drawn Tram back.
Visit the Whale Centre, or ride the Cockle Train, an historic steam train, to Goolwa.
Visit the Farmer's markets at Victor Harbor and Goolwa, and vintage shops at Pt Elliot.
Go boogie boarding and surfing at Pt Elliot, Middleton and Goolwa.
Watch out for whales during the winter months.
Visit Urrimbirra Wildlife Park, Yankalilla Museum, Pt Elliot Museum, historic Goolwa, the Barrages, Hindmarsh Island, the Coorong, Goolwa Animal Farm.
Take a scenic drive to the many local wineries around the Fleurieu Peninsular.
