This cabin and location exceeded our expectations. Its was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the wood stove fire for those cold nights , We saw many types of birdlife and watched the kangaroos in the paddocks , The host was very helpful and made us feel very welcome .
Beautiful location so peaceful. Well equipped, need to be organised with supplies etc as a good 20 mins from any shops. But idyllic and perfect for down time.
Delightful cottage in a rural setting. Well appointed, with lots of thoughtful extras. Easy access to Busselton and other points of interest in the region.Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.
My husband and I stayed for our baby moon and it was lovely. Really nice and relaxing, we loved being around nature and enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning/evening. Good location only 15 minutes from Busselton so easy to go to shops, do things and look around. The cabin was quite dusty however with a fair few cobwebs on posts, near bedside table etc . A few updated amenities would go a long way as well like a fan for use in the bedroom as it gets quite stuffy at night. Also some info for guests on checking out- what we need to do or just where things are as it did take us a while to find certain things. Overall though we had a great time and would stay again!
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that just wants the serenity, perfect location, not too far from Busselton itself. The owners are wonderful people willing to help anyway they can. Definitely 10/10
This was a great place to stay to finish our time in WA. Very comfortable and clean, peaceful surroundings and well equipped. We loved sitting on the verandah and watching the birds. We would happily stay again.
The cottage is very cute and cosy. Perfect size for a weekend getaway. The kitchen was well equipped - all the cooking utensils, oil, salt, pepper, honey, vinegar, plenty of tea towels, plates, glasses etc. Only downside, the pans were stainless steel and I don’t think they had been seasoned, so everything stuck :/Living area was again a perfect size. Small dining table, don’t need any bigger, and lounge space. DVD player and tv worked great, same with the radio. Bathroom was big and spacious, plenty of spare towels, hair dryer, MASSIVE sink, good shower. Bedroom downstairs was a perfect size. Wardrobe had coat hangers, iron tucked away, bedside tables and vanity with drawers so plenty of space for clothes. Curtains shout out all the light and was cosy and warm at night. The fire was stacked up and ready to light when we got there. Plenty of spare wood, newspaper/magazines, matches and fire starters, with an axe and more wood to chop outside. Property was surrounded by bush and paddocks. Could easily go for a walk through the bush or sit outside on the patio to view the green grass and roos. Marina and Colin were lovely. Colin came to say hello just after we arrived. They were prompt with messages and always happy to answer questions. All in all an amazing stay, would definitely recommend and come back. Thank you Marina and Colin!
My partner and I had a wonderful stay on this peaceful property. Being visited by the birds in the morning and cows in the afternoon created a wholesome vibe. We highly recommend and are looking forward to booking again in the future ☺️
It is an amazing place that feels like a childhood fairytale. We enjoyed our stay like kids enjoy playing in the woods. The hosts, Marina and Colin, are two very nice and welcoming people with a lot of advice for the area. I got sick at the end, and they welcomed us to have a late check-out. Would love to stay again.
This is a gem of a holiday stay away for a couple. Beautiful and comfortable cottage, scenic surroundings, and very well equipped! We wanted for nothing :-)
All stages of the stay went well with excellent communication from the hosts. Directions seemed too simple but were very accurate. Hideaway is an absolute gem, great mix of modern and vintage. jarrah floors, air con, great shower and quietness., only bird song perfect for me.
What a gem of a place. We stayed for 4 nights to explore the south west area. This cottage could be used to just get away from it all, waking up to the sound of birdsong and trees rustling or, as we did, as an ideal base to start each days journey.
We would happily return.
