About this property

Regatta on Rudder - Dog Friendly!

Our cute little beach shack is the perfect spot for a coastal escape. Offering the ultimate in privacy, away from the crowds, and nestled in a completely secluded bush setting. The ultimate bird watchers paradise! Only a short walk to beaches, the estuary, shop, and an even shorter roll to Red Rock's main social venue - The Bowlo!

Fully self-contained, it comfortably sleeps up to four adults. A maximum of TWO canine friends are very welcome!

Prices vary depending on the season and length of stay.

Away from the bustle of caravans and only a five minute walk to the beach, creek or boat ramp, our secluded cottage offers sun-kissed privacy behind a bush garden filled with native birds. Our front and back yard are both fully fenced, providing a safe place for your dog to relax.

The house features a queen master suite with two singles in the second bedroom.

Guests are welcome to all facilities.

We live offsite but can be contacted by email or phone at any time. We have a caretaker who looks after the property, however she is unavailable at short notice and often out of town on weekends and school holidays. For this reason we are also unable to accommodate back to back bookings on weekends (i.e. same day check-out/check-in on Saturday or Sunday) as she is unavailable to prepare the property for the next guests.

Please note blankets and pillows are available however sheets and towels are not provided.

Minimum two night stay. Five nights during school holidays and peak seasons.

Check-in/check-out is firm unless alternative times requested at time of booking. As we do not live on site and rely on our caretaker check-in is 2pm and check-out is 10am. Keys are available via a key safe located at the property. Please download the app so that you have access to this information at the time of check in.

The town of Red Rock relies on tank water. We ask that you use water wisely. If there is a power outage you will not have access to water until the power is restored as the pump is electric.

For a good feed you can walk across the street to the One Rock Bistro at the Bowlo, catch the courtesy bus to the Amble Inn, or drive 10 minutes to Woolgoolga for a restaurant meal.

For all your shopping needs Coffs Harbour is only half an hour South. There is a large Woolworths in Woolgoolga, or you could organise online delivery from Woolworths or Coles online.

Everything in Red Rock is within walking distance of 5-10 minutes. The local pub in Corindi offers a courtesy bus, but a vehicle is required to travel to and from Red Rock.

Perfect cottage.

This is our second time staying at this lovely cottage and it wont be our last. The kitchen is modern and well equiped with everything you might need. Bathroom is clean and updated. The owner Ann-Maree is friendly and easy to talk to should you have a need. There are no negatives about this stay.

Gorgeous beach house for a relaxed getaway

Very well presented house and well appointed kitchen. The perfect house for a relaxed family beach getaway. Beds were comfortable and deck was the perfect place to relax in the sun in the aftrnoon. Our doggo loved it here also, plenty of space for him & he loved soaking up the sun on the deck also. Ann-Maree was so easy to communicate with and the check-in & check-out process was super easy. Highly recommend a stay here, we will definitely be coming back again.

My family has such a lovely time here. The house was immaculate, comfortable, private and had everything you needed. We also felt reassured given it was a great secure property for our 2 small dogs outside. Ann-Maree was amazing and we would certainly recommend staying here. Thank you very much. What a pearler!

We loved staying at Regatta on Rudder! Myself, hubby and our dog enjoyed every minute and we wholeheartedly recommend staying here if you want a peaceful, relaxed holiday. The house is very generously stocked, superbly located and has everything you need. The kitchen items are great quality - not the usual cheap, unloved pots/pans etc and this made a surprising difference to us. You can tell the house is very loved. The beds were super comfortable too. I loved the bed so much I took a photo of the mattress label so next time I replace my mattress I will know what to buy - I am very particular with beds so this is a big compliment! The yard was very secure for our dog but if you have a jumper, be aware the fence is only 80cm (?) high at the front. It wasnt a problem for us but we did need the security of having a fenced property as we didnt want her wandering around on her own. We live in a small beach town ourselves but found Red Rock to be even quieter. This holiday far exceeded our expectations and we would love to stay again.

Perfect getaway

A Cottage with Style

A very cute updated cottage with many mod cons. Comfortable & Clean. Excellent place to stay with a pet. The cottage & neighbourhood reminded us of holidays spent with our families during our childhood. Definitely recommend to anyone, pet or not.

Peaceful & Tranquil Home

Quiet side street near club with small pleasant house, safe yard for small dogs. Great deck for a cuppa in the morning or a beer at night. Was everything stated in advert, just bring the towels and sheets etc. The outside shower was a great idea to rid the sand off us after the beach. Kitchen well equipped and comfy beds. Clean and great for the 2 of us and the puppies to relax and read or go for a walk. Love sounds of the ocean at night with black cockatoos enjoying breakfast in the trees. Close to bowling club for a great dinner in evening. Short walk to estuary with a beautiful park. Go up to beach to Little Beach in van park is a gem as is the entire coastline along to Woolgoolga (WOOPI), Great cafes, dog friendly places everywhere. Recommended stay.

Quiet beach getaway

Loved the small, quiet and private cottage. The kitchen had everything we needed and everything was very clean and tidy. Red Rock is a gorgeous quiet little gem with beaches, waterways and bush tracks to explore. Will definitely be back one day.

So good we went back

We previously stayed in winter/spring but wanted to go back in summer. Red Rock was still sleepy and relaxed but we could also enjoy the warm water (don’t expect good surf though). The house works just as well in summer as winter - very comfortable (took advantage of the aircon on the warmest days). Great for relaxing and doing not much.

Clean and tidy . No wifi. Has all the basics and close to beach . The only criticism I have is that the bathroom tiles are super slippery ( just something to be weary of ) . That being said it it wouldn’t stop us from staying again . Overall a very relaxing few days

Hidden little gem

Located in sleepy little sea side town with plenty of walking tracks and wide open beaches. It's the perfect little house that is clean and fresh, a home away from home. It exceeded our expectations and will definitely be staying here again.
