We truly enjoyed our stay at the property and had a wonderful, relaxing time. It was the perfect place to disconnect from our busy routine and spend quality time with my family without mobile phone usage, which made the experience even more special. The surroundings were peaceful and refreshing, creating a calm atmosphere where we could fully unwind. The property was well-maintained, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We especially appreciated the quiet environment and natural setting, which helped us recharge and enjoy meaningful moments together.Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with family. We would love to visit again in the future.
Loved the setting and the view. The cottage had everything one could need for a stay and was quiet. The garden was well maintained with beautiful plants and trees. A lovely place for walks, birdlife and close to the town. The little wood fireplace was very effective and ensured we were nice and warm all night. Thanks Sil!

Cosy, comfortable retreat. The perfect place for a relaxing country getaway. The aspect is 11 out 10 - rolling hills, trees & livestock. Just magic!
Our band played the Nannup Music Festival 2024 and we needed a place to stay that was close but had all the amenities we needed for our 4 day trip - and Chestnut Hill Cottage Balingup was absolutely perfect!
Would book again for sure if we're playing down there.
We are return guests and love this peace of paradise. Close to lots of walks and little townships. The wood heater makes it lively and toasty. Thank you Silvano and Mary for sharing your cottage. Lacey, Matt and kids

Wonderful view across a valley towards town. The downside of that being you can hear the distant Highway rumblings - not completely quiet. The water was hot with good pressure though there is no water when the power is out. We were advised about planned power outages however there were also unplanned outages stretching into the evening. There was insufficient backup lighting so the cleaner kindly dropped off some tea light candles. Thankfully the stove was gas so we could make dinner in the dark. The owner refunded us for an early prearranged departure date on account of the planned power outage. We were also offered a late checkout which we felt made up for the unplanned outages so we were grateful for that. Two full 10L water containers were provided in case of power outage. There are lots of towel rails and hooks in the bathroom that I always appreciate. Lovely garden. House has ‘country’ decor. Overall a lovely stay - though it was a bit tricky working around the power timings. We had to be flexible.
Many people pass through Balingup, I would encourage you to stay a few days and enjoy this special part of WA! This property is perfectly situated on a quiet hillside with incredible views of surrounding hills - watch the fog roll over in the mornings or the milky way rise at night. The gardens are filled with beautiful trees, easy to spot many little birds, rabbits and kangaroos. The Bibbulman track is literally down the road (worth trying a small section along the river!), Golden Valley Tree Park 5 mins away, shops/centre of town an easy walk. With a full kitchen, spacious living area and bath, there's not much more you could want for a cosy few days away. I'll look forward to returning!
