We greatly enjoyed the special time at this place! Super location, easily walkable to town. Great views. Clean. Well furnished, and well stocked. We will not hesitate to rent this place again in the future. Great experience.
We had a great stay at this property in Crested Butte. The house was perfect for our family of 7. The kitchen is so well stocked and had everything we needed! Roger was great to work with! He was quick to respond when we had a question. It is a short walk to town and beautiful at night walking home from dinner. There is a great walking trail close to the house that we enjoyed every morning! We will definitely stay here again!
We had the best stay for spring break. Tons of snow! The house was cozy and super convenient to town. You can walk a couple blocks out the back door and you are there. The host was amazing, and super responsive. We had 4 kids with us and the kitchen was stocked with really convenient things that most properties miss. Highly recommend!
This house is superb. Best vantage point in town of Crested Butte. Breathtaking views all day of mountain and valley. Hiking trails seconds from house, very short walk into town, and minutes via car to ski slopes. The home is new and has all the modern needs. It was very well designed and very well maintained. The owner is very responsive and nice. I look forwards to returning some day.
This house was super comfortable for all 8 of us. The kitchen, dining and living spaces were all generously spaced and well equipped. The LOCATION was so perfect, the views were breathtaking with sunrise and sunset alpenglow; but only a short walk to town down a footpath. Driving to the slopes was easy or access by free town bus 3 blocks from the footpath. only the moderately athletic can walk back up with equipment.

An FYI, a slope:side ski locker and parking pass is provided with the rental. It only accommodates for 4-5, but additional lockets are available. Definitely best to leave the ski equipment in the locker at the Area or in the car.
The home was everything we expected from the listing and more. The views are incredible from the kitchen/dining area and living room, which all have a great open floor plan. The home was very nicely appointed -- comfortable furniture, nice decor, everything you need in the kitchen, big gas grill on the deck, etc. We loved how easy it was to walk down the path into town to restaurants and shops. And the woods walk trailhead is just a few houses away so it's amazing to walk there every morning and take in the beautiful views. Roger was great to interact with throughout the process, and he really went out of his way to accommodate our baby too. He set up a playpen and pack'n'play for us. One more thing - the hot tub is incredible with the stars at night. Overall fantastic stay.
The house exceeded our expectations. It was well appointed with beautiful furnishings and a high quality kitchen. The rooms were comfortable and the floors were warm, which is such a nice feature in the winter. Set just above the town, you have beautiful views from all sides. It is just steps away from the charming town of Crested Butte, where the people are so friendly. The host was always accessible.
We got quite lucky in that is snowed over 20" the first three days we were there. It was a winter wonderland. There is plenty to do in CB. The Nordic Center is a 10 minute walk from the house and has plenty of trails for walking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing of all kinds. The mountain is less than 15 minutes away.
We cannot wait to come back.
The house was awesome. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful. It really exceeded our expectations.

About the host
Hosted by Roger Scott Sherman
Sue and I have lived in CB for most of over 50 years. As a Physician and Nurse we owned the Ski Area Clinic and worked at the ER in Gunnison. As such longtime locals, we had the pick of locations to build our home. Originally we owned the lot and and lived next door to this house for 30 years, eventually building the new house in 2020 on the adjacent lot. We’ve strived to give the house a warm feeling without cluttering it with personal memorabilia to allow our guests to infuse their own experience into their stay. In addition to raising our family in CB, we have been very active Back Country, Nordic, and Alpine skiers, Mountain bikers, climbers, kayakers, etc. As we've gotten older we've begun spending more time pursuing warm water activities such as Wing Foiling and OC1 paddling. Our time away from CB allows us to rent the house for a limited number of weeks during the winter and summer months.
Why they chose this property
This is the most unique and attractive neighborhood in CB. It has the feel of a rural enclave but only blocks from restaurants and shops.
