Nestled within the confines of the Uwharrie National Forest, Sunrise on Badin is your ideal lakefront oasis. Whether you're seeking a relaxing retreat or active lake adventure, it's awaiting you at the enchanting & picturesque Sunrise on Badin luxe lakefront retreat. Enjoy tranquil lake views from every room or spend time on the large double deck pier just steps from the back door.

Outdoor Fireplace & Patio
Constructed in the summer of 2020, this new natural stone fireplace and spacious flagstone patio is the perfect place to gather your group to spend time relaxing with a beverage or roasting marshmallows for smores, all while overlooking the lake.

Boating:
Bringing your boat or pontoon along? Dock your vessel aside the well bumpered pier equipped with fresh mooring whips. Or, set out on your own adventure in the 16 foot canoe equipped with paddles and life jackets for your exclusive use throughout your stay.

Relax and unwind on the cozy covered porch adjoining the master suite. The deck which extends along the entire back of the main level overlooks the lake in the quiet, peaceful cove and is perfect for outdoor grilling and dining.

Main Floor
The heart of the home is the great room with soaring vaulted ceilings towering over the living and dining areas, anchored by the stone wall fireplace. The wall of lakeview windows and skylights bask the room with light. The master bedroom features an indulgent king size four poster bed & private master bath. The spacious, well equipped kitchen is open to the dining & living room area.

Upstairs
Ascend the stairs to two full guestrooms, one with a queen bed and the second with bunk beds (twin on top, full below) along with one additional twin bed. Guestrooms share a spacious full bath with rainfall shower & tub and are joined by flyway overlooking the main floor.

Lower Level
The walkout ground floor features cushy sofas with a large flat panel TV, Roku, Wii game console, Blu-Ray player and extensive movie library. Enjoy a lively game of air hockey on the full size game table. There's also a full bath with shower. It makes a great space for the kids or a quiet retreat for multiple family groups. Exit thru the French doors to the covered lower patio furnished with Adirondack chairs to take in the scenic lake views with the dock just steps away.

Private Pier and Dock
There's room for the whole family on the large double decker dock with a 20' x 20' upper sun deck with a gate for the kids...young and old alike...to endlessly jump into the lake below. If you're bringing or renting a boat - use the fresh mooring whips to securely dock your watercraft Enjoy fishing right from the pier or sit back and take in the beauty of Badin Lake. There's a wealth of wildlife to watch, from the soaring Blue Herons to ducks and turtles swimming about.

Great house and outdoor area. We enjoyed sitting on the deck off the master bedroom every morning with coffee and building a fire in the outdoor fireplace to roast marshmallows in the evening. The downstairs area was also great for relaxing and playing games. We hope to visit again!

Long Weekend - Boating Trip

House is very convenient to the dock for trips for drinks, food, and boating supplies. We took advantage of the boat moorings to quickly jump into the boat for another ride or tubing trip. Swimming off the dock was great! Boat ramp was just around the corner.

We so enjoyed our stay at Sunset on Badin. The home is immaculate, organized, There are generous provisions, nice appliances, comfortable beds. There are so many spaces indoors and out to enjoy your stay. Instructions are detailed and clear. Paul made everything simple for us. We were glad that we could bring our ski boat.

Lost of space in the house to stretch out and relax! Great sunrise and winter sunsets. Very clean, very well stocked kitchen, comfy beds! Lots to explore in nearby Uwharrie National Forest. Would love to revisit when the weather is warmer to take advantage of the lake amd jumping off the upper deck and swimming! Paul was an A-class host, very attentive and easy to reach/communicate with! We would love to return again!

Spectacular lake house

The house was exactly as we expected from the description. Cute, clean, comfortable, very equipped kitchen, they even left us a bottle of wine and chocolates. It unfortunately rained most of our stay but the lake was still gorgeous. There really wasn’t anything bad to say about it. We will be back.

The perfect lake house!

We loved our time at this house. The 2nd living area was perfect for the 15 and 22 year old kids. The house had everything you would need. The best part of the house is the outdoor space. The dock was perfect for pulling up our boat and hanging out during the day. The covered patio was perfect in the evenings especially on the rainy ones. We came in to a gift basket which was such a nice gesture. We will definitely be back.

We love being on the water whether it's sailing, boating or just relaxing lake side. Growing up, I spent summers at a family lake retreat and want our family, friends and guests to enjoy the same lake life experience. Being in and around nature and on the water is nothing short of relaxing, rejuvenating and simply spectacular.

Why they chose this property

This home captured our hearts from the moment we arrived by boat and docked.

From the clean lines of the Mediterranean stucco styling, and the tall, soaring ceilings of the great room, to the wooded and secluded location and double deck dock...we were sold and first sight.

What makes this property unique

Badin Lake is one of the most beautiful and secluded lakes in the Piedmont with much of the eastern shoreline bordered by the Uwharrie National Forest. With multiple quiet coves to drop anchor, it's like being on your own private lake. There's no better way I know to rest, relax and recharge.
