About this property

WNC is welcoming visitors back! The mountains are calling you to come!

This immaculate, two-bedroom, two-bath cabin is on 2.5 acres in the Grandview Peaks gated community. It is located at the end of a cul-de-sac giving you the utmost privacy and quiet.

Community amenities include a beautiful lake with a beach area and fishing dock and a waterfall and hiking trails for your enjoyment. Bring the kids' bikes - being the only house on the cul-de-sac allows them to ride bikes without the worry of traffic. The spacious backyard longs for kickball and lawn dart games! In the evenings, you can make s'mores at the fire pit. The covered front porch is the best spot for an early morning cup of coffee and the large deck with an electric grill is great for meals eaten outside (there is seating for six on the deck).

Just 20 minutes away, Marion, NC, is host to fairs and festivals from April to December. It's only 30 minutes to Lake James State Park and just an hour drive to Biltmore in Asheville, Grandfather Mountain State Park, Mount Mitchell, or Pisgah Forest. Closer activities are Catawba Falls and the Thermal-belt Rail Trail (paved, 13.5-mile walking/biking trail). Both are within 30 minutes. A large variety of activities await your family on a mountain vacation.

The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and is en suite. The first-floor bedroom has two twin beds. The upstairs open loft has a twin-sized trundle bed.

There is a pack-n-play, baby gate, and high chair for families traveling with a baby.

The kitchen is fully stocked - it is ready for you to make your favorite family meals, bake a birthday cake, or make a crockpot of stew on a cold Saturday.

The gas fireplace in the living room makes this cabin a comfy getaway! The cabin has central air and heat for your comfort.

A Hidden Gem for the Perfect Getaway!

The quaint atmosphere, combined with breathtaking surroundings, made for an unforgettable experience, once again!The accommodations are always cozy and thoughtfully designed, offering the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. Every detail is carefully curated, adding to the overall warmth of the place. Whether enjoying morning coffee on the porch, or taking in the quiet evenings, it felt like time slowed down just for us. The darkness is also very peaceful with no light pollution whatsoever.. nothing like it.One of the highlights was the peaceful setting- ideal for reconnecting with nature and truly unwinding. We always leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and are already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a beautiful escape filled with tranquility and charm, this is the perfect spot!

A Perfect Place to Celebrate and Unwind This was our fifth stay at this incredible property in Nebo, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. We celebrated my 65th birthday here with dear friends, and it was the perfect setting for relaxing, reconnecting, and making lasting memories.The home is always spotless and welcoming, with thoughtful touches that make you feel instantly at ease. We loved starting our mornings with peaceful strolls around the private lake and hiking the secluded trail to the waterfall—such a hidden gem. Evenings were magical, gathered around the backyard fire pit sharing stories and laughter, followed by quiet moments on the front porch rocking chairs under the stars.This place has become a tradition for us, and it continues to be the ideal retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home and will surely be back in the future! This quickly became our most favorite place to stay yet!! House was very clean....the owner thought of everything! Literally everything was labeled so you could easily find things! I loved that! Beds were comfortable! Plenty of board games, outside games etc. Very quiet neighborhood! Very cozy! Quiet Getaway

Our family had a great stay, very clean and cozy cabin, the host was communicative and available through phone, the community was very nice and peaceful, we visited Asheville and Sugar Mountain both about an hour away from the cabin and would recommend this stay.

2nd time is a charm - yet again!

My wife, daughter and I stayed at Marie's place during the summer of 2021 and thoroughly enjoyed (prior review posted). My wife & I were looking to visit the mountains of NC and see the fall colors and luckily Marie's place was available yet again. We love everything about this house and the neighborhood of Grandview Peaks. The house is spotless inside and the kitchen is fully stocked with all of your basics. We spent one day heading near Hendersonville/Ashville and the other day heading up to Boone. Marie is an awesome host and always responsive. I remember her daily rate for this home being very reasonable back in 2021 and it was again this time - which I greatly appreciate. It is definitely a great value for the money and I would recommend Marie's home to anyone looking to get away to the mountains of NC, to stay in a beautiful and to stay in a great community. Thanks Marie...we might just be back a 3rd time in the future OR purchase a property in GVP ourselves someday!

Your home is beautiful. Everything was top notch. We were not there much, since we were at the conference. Which I invite everyone to attend at the Nebo Crossing Church next 9/28 & 9/29. We had the pleasure of having Jason Crabb and Guy Penrod from the Gaithers. We hope to come stay again, but may need a larger place. Unreal how you had some supplies in the cabin, like DUKE mayo. Just right for the egg swds. Please rent from this sweet owner. You will not be sorry. She is so kind...... ..

Wonderfully Peaceful

Quiet and peaceful, with everything we needed. Beautiful neighborhood- the lake was a great bonus! We swam and floated in the lake for hours, grilled, made s’mores and enjoyed board games on the porch. Exactly what our family of 2 adults/ 4 teens needed. Cabin is super clean, very organized and well stocked. Owner is easy to communicate and made our stay perfect. Will definitely be back!

Dave and I live in Decatur, Texas, but have always enjoyed the NC mountains. I was a camper in Hendersonville for our summers and attended Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa (just up the mountain from Marion). Dave took many youth trips from St. Petersburg, Florida, to Montreat.

Why they chose this property

We most like Grandview Peak's quiet surroundings - it is tranquil. Our cabin is on a cul-de-sac with no close neighbors...we like just relaxing on the porch or deck in the evenings and listening to nature.

What makes this property unique

We have no close neighbors, yet we live on a paved road and are not far from town.

Our cabin is kept immaculately clean by our housekeeper, Tonia and her two teen-age sons. They treat my place as their own - they have done since 2019!
