Frangipani 004 is a sought after apartment for its ideal location DIRECTLY OPPOSITE THE BEACH. The ground floor position is also very popular! The views over Catseye Beach are just beautiful.

With exquisite fresh furnishings throughout, Frangipani 004 is a bright, open plan and spacious apartment with a perfect beach side location.

The location was great, view was beautiful. Easy to walk down to the beach or use the golf buggy in and out of the main centre. Unfortunately the apartment was dirty when we arrived, stained linen in the cupboards, walls were putrid with make up and the main bedroom had a huge hole in the wall which we weren’t made aware of prior to our arrival. The smoke alarm kept going off intermittently and when I sent a message to have the batteries replaced or the alarm fixed we were ignored. Overall our stay was ok, which is disappointing considering how much it costs to stay on the beautiful island.

Very poor checkout experience

The good points are the location, the view and well stocked kitchen. Unfortunately there are quite a few bad points. Firstly the apartment is quite run down, dirty and the bed doona does not even have a cover on it. I’m surprised we didn’t get bed bugs. We would be willing to overlook some of this but what we found inexcusable was the check out experience. Despite no one checking in on the same day, we had to vacate the property at 10am with no option to leave bags anywhere and therefore be at the airport 3.5 hours before our flight. This was despite multiple requests to check out later or at least get a later transfer or store our bags due to us having 4 suitcases, fishing rods, a pram and two young kids. We are frequent travellers and have never not been given an option to store bags somewhere. It’s particularly disappointing given the very high price tag! We then choose to be dropped at the resort centre just to avoid a 3.5 hour wait at the airport and had to them pay for a separate private transfer at a cost to us. I don’t normally leave reviews but fee it is best to warn others as I would not have booked this apartment had I have known about this experience.

Hi Amy, thank you for your comments. I'm very sorry you were disappointed with the check out service. We do try to make it as clear as possible at the time of booking that checkout time is the standard 10am. Unfortunately, whether someone is checking in after you or not is irrelevant as it depends on the valet's (very busy) schedule for that day - they are usually unable to give late check outs due to the majority of the planes arriving after midday so they are busy with the arrival valets. We also wish there was bag storage on the island but unfortunately there never has been due to high insurance costs and security risks. Regarding the bed doona, the house keepers use triple sheeting which is commonly used in luxury hotels. As a gesture of good will, we would be happy to cover the cost of your transfer from the Resort Centre, just send us a message with the details. Thanks again Amy!

the property is spacious and clean, air con in all rooms, large patio with ample seating. kitchen necessities all included. views are amazing and the gardens well kept. bathrooms need a bit of attention & pillows not comfy. the inclusion of the buggy is a highlight and makes it easier to get around the island. would definitely stay here again.
