San Diego's secret lake house in the "Valley of The Gods", secluded, quiet, great amenities, close to all shopping, attractions and the lake is at the end of our street( two minute walk). One of a kind area in San Diego Co. Safari Park 15min, Beach 20min, Mountains 90min, Mexico 45min, Disneyland 60 -75min., Thoroughbreds at Del Mar 15-20min Most centralized location in San Diego County.

Imagine wakening to the sun rising between the distant mountains, a calming fog lightly decapitates, the lake appears, glistening and welcoming you to the new day. While on the upper deck you sip a steaming cup of fresh coffee, one deep breath of the fresh, clean air and your awake ready to go. The end of the day is equally as pleasant.... a picturesque full moon slowly heads high in the dark sky, it comforts, calms and ends your day of this great adventure. Quiet blankets the valley and you feel your part of everything around you.....Welcome home!

The lake has it's own glamor, rentals for boating , fishing, kayaks,. Miles of hiking/biking trails....Coast to Crest trail runs directly through the area. Check with the dpt of boating and waterways for hours and days of water sports and approved sports as they may vary.
Best of San Diego " Free Things"- During the kids free month of October children 11 or younger receive free admission at Zoo/Safari Park, Birch Aquarium Scripps and many museums (san diego.org/promotions/kids-free)..... during February seniors 65+ get the same Zoo/Safari deal (visit - SDZ/SafariPark.org). Over 20 San Diego museums are free. IPA-Observed on the first Thursday each August, National IPA Day is a hoppy hootenanny and there are many awesome local breweries in our town. SD offers so much.

This property was beautiful! The house was very cozy and relaxing. It was my husband and me and my small dog and we enjoyed the hiking, nice walks around the lake, and relaxation. The house was so cozy with wonderful beds, couches, and outside tables to enjoy the view at night. This was a wonderful get a way for us.

Relaxing getaway

Had another great visit. This is our second time, we love the unplugged feeling of this lovely cottage. The yard is a wonderful relaxing place to enjoy the birds and read a good book. Lots of great hiking trails nearby. We had a little glitch and Paul was right on it and fixed the issue. Thanks, we hope to be back!

Peaceful yard with calming water features. Artistically designed & well maintained yard & 2 decks!

Very convenient location to everything, yet in country setting. The home has a retro feel with all modern features. Wonderful tile & wood floors. Walk to the lake! Many walking paths. Great Mexican historical restaurant with original atmosphere, 2 minute walk from house!

Just like home

This casita makes you feel at home. The windows look out onto the expansive professionally landscaped gardens with water features, painting projects, tables & chairs with umbrellas, 2 decks, a balcony, & it’s fully fenced in for pets. My dog knows when we’re driving in the driveway & she is perfectly comfortable staying out in the yard & pretending it’s all hers to protect. The open concept living area has a retro decor which is pleasing. Beautiful Terracotta tiles in kitchen & dining area. Beautiful wood floors in hall & bedrooms. The bathroom has hand designed mosaic patterns throughout & is unique & colorful. You can walk to Hernandez Hideaway Mexican restaurant in one minute & feel it’s originality. Paths go to the lake front & fishermen are enjoying the tranquility. You won’t regret staying here. It has all you could possibly need.

It's a great place venture around, hike, bike and to relax at. There are also a lot of water sports. It’s close to the most popular attractions, beaches, excellent restaurants and breweries. It's simply convenient and away from everything

What makes this property unique

Lake Hodges is where our adventure begun, it's also at the end of our block. Our house has a lot of old growth plants and trees, it's very homey and has all the amenities you expect. The only rental close enough to stroll to the waters edge. The beds are also comfortable and there's lots of space.
