2423 Orleans Ave Treme

House was clean and as photographed. Biggest miss was that there were zero basics that I've always found in other places (salt, pepper, olive oil, sponge for cleaning counters etc. as a bare minimum) but there was coffee and a coffee maker, sugar etc. 2/3 bedrooms were great- we were a little surprised that the third didn't even have a window (I though that was illegal?) so that was odd. There is a tiny back yard that could have been so much more welcoming- the lawn was trimmed but there was one lone chair and some garbage strewn about. some flower boxes or a table and 2 chairs would have made us actually want to use it. The location was perfect for what we needed (close to both Jazz Fest and many other neighborhoods. Treme is much less touristy than other neighborhoods and is no particularly pretty, but there are some great spots for food and drink if one is open minded and adventurous. Overall positive experience but please fix up that sad back yard and put a window in the bedroom.

It's like staying at a cheap motel, more Motel 6 then Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express.

The door lock wouldn't work upon arrival. The maintenance team did not want to take the situation seriously and tried to repair it the next day. It took several escalated communications to address and replace. The floors were dirty. The water pressure was unacceptable. We were aware this could be an issue. I contacted the property owners months before our stay and asked if it was addressed (due to several bad reviews). It was not. The shower in the master bath is unusable. All furniture needs to be updated. nightstands and table surfaces are blistered and peeling. The chairs all have stains. The towels smelled bad. No hand soap in any bathrooms. TV did not work as explained. Google Chromecast was promised and was never delivered. TV has Roku installed if you want to log your information into its installed apps. The third bedroom has no windows or anywhere to open a suitcase due to its size. Luckily we had two smaller women with backpacks staying in there. Perfect location for Ubering around town. it's a half-hour walk to the most visited locations in the city. If you're looking for someplace to sleep after partying all day, this place works. But if you are used to staying in nice places, this place isn't for you. It compares more to a hunting camp or seedy motel. The closest gas station to buy things (water, beer, ice) is a healthy two-block walk. The nicest thing I can say is that while cheap, the bed linens were white, stain-free, and clean.

Fantastic property - so comfortable!

We loved this place. The beds and bedrooms were super comfy. Everything was clean. Showers were great. And it's bigger than the photos show. Kitchen was great. It was easy to find and right down the street from the famous Dooky Chase's. We took an Uber everywhere for about $12 each time. Parking was always available right in front while we were there. I would absolutely stay here again!
