Bonny Fern Cottage is an iconic little cottage surrounded by towering trees and snow capped mountains in Washington State at Stevens Pass. You'll be just steps from community access to the Skykomish River for excellent swimming and fishing opportunities in the warmer months, or visit the Stevens Pass ski area for epic winter and spring snow sports just 35 miles away. Fabulous hiking options are all around, and you can retire to your cozy cabin in the woods at the end of the day, relaxing in the sparkling spa or swapping stories of your daily adventures around the wood burning stove.

Great Getaway Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It's in a quiet area with easy access, is spacious enough for two couples to hang out comfortably, and had a pretty great view from the hot tub!

A great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay - it was nice and quite, and close enough to hikes and nice restaurants. The house was clean and the views from the deck and hot tub were great. Would definitely recommend!

Thanksgiving weekend

This very clean rental had views of 3 craggy rock peaks right out the kitchen window. A short, one block hike on the community path took me straight to the beautiful river nearby. The host left us 2 small servings bags of coffee so we could sit and have a beautiful morning sunrise!

Fantastic cottage

An extremely nice cottage in an ECLECTIC neighborhood that has a nice mix of old and new, basic and luxurious well spaced in a very quiet setting. We really enjoyed the comfortable recliners as well as the hot tub. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Break from the Busy Day to Day

Stayed here on a recent trip to the PNW. My partner and I loved the property! It was clean and bright and the managers were very responsive when we had questions/needed help finding things. The experience was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again or rent from the same company! We went on multiple walks around the area and there are beautiful homes and vistas to enjoy.

Cute and quiet

The property and home is very cute. Check in and check out instructions were very detailed so we knew exactly what to do. The home was clean and well stocked. We went for my sister's wedding so we weren't at the home very much. However, we enjoyed our stay. Owner was nice and easy to communicate with.

Comfortable, Clean and well-Equipped Home

We enjoyed our four night stay. Internet was fast, good TV streaming, little and spotty cell service throughout this area, even along the highway. Gorgeous view from the hot tub. Excellent communications from the management team. The only downside (for us) was the remoteness of the cottage. The long drive on a twisty gravel road to get up to the highway was intimidating for us.

Quaint cottage in the woods

Great little cottage in the woods. As advertised and as per the photos. Make sure you sign the rental agreement before you go, otherwise you don't receive the check in instructions, which includes a gate code and the lock box code, and with extremely limited service, it can make it difficult. Hot tub was great, to appreciate the cascades and the neighbours (from a distance).

Most of those distant neighboring properties are also Tree Line Rentals, so if you want to return with family and friends, we have plenty of options! It IS super important guests have the check-in instructions, which is why we send reminders to sign the rental agreement and instructions on having them available offline due to limited service. We're open to suggestions on how to ensure guests read them ;)

Work Vacation

We came to stay for a week while the husband worked. The views were amazing and the off grid feeling was nice. The house itself was nice and all the windows were great for letting light in. The bad for us was finding broken glass from what looked like a table in the back yard, which was cause for concern having brought a dog with us and having a curious little guy. I was upset to see that it had not been cleaned up. There was also way to much chlorine in the hot tub which caused our little guy as well as my husband to become sick and we didn't get to enjoy it while being there. Aside from the wonderful view of the cascades we didn't have a good trip due to our child getting sick and the safety issues.

We were so sorry to read this guest did not have a perfect stay, and further dismayed that we were not contacted at all during their stay so we had no opportunity to help or resolve these issues. We found that the chlorine dispenser/ bobber in the spa had been opened to release the maximum amount of chlorine, which over-chlorinated the spa. This would have been very easy to remedy. There was a glass table that shattered during the winter and we did our best to clean up all the area around it and are sorry if we missed a piece or two in the lawn. We do expect guests to contact us directly, DURING their stay, if they have concerns or need assistance, especially considering we live minutes away and are happy to help in person and do whatever is necessary to ensure a perfect getaway.
