Great property, very quiet location, you forget how close to town you actually are.
Large house, with all the amenities and great views of lake and forest.
Great communication from property manager.
Enjoyed our time and will stay again.
We have never stayed in a property like J''s Retreat. It was the quintessential holiday accommodation. Nothing was overlooked - from the house decor which is very modern and contemporary through to the fully equipped kitchen. It was the best 3 days we have ever experienced in the Margaret River region. Thank you!
A few problems:
No handrail on stairs to garage
No switch in passage to light the stairs to living area
Sliding door to balcony needs repair
Unable to find channels 2,7,9 on TV
Tranquil, peaceful, ideal for our group of six. Had all of the amenities we needed. Plenty of room in the dining, lounge and outdoor area to accommodate everyone's seating preferences. The varying groups of ducks with their ducklings provided a calm ambience with endless entertainment. In a separate message I did say a towel rail was loose in bedroom 2. I believe the door to bedroom 3 didn't close and a squeaky door to the toilet in the main bedroom. Small maintenance things that didn't detract from our stay but just passing them on. There was part of a shelf from the refridgerator that was in the top shelf of the pantry cupboard that we found by accident when we tried to put something in there that didnt fit. Again not a game changer but not sure if you knew about it. A very comfortable, happy and enjoyable stay. Having personal contact with Matt and Carolyn was very reassuring and preferred that to the online check-in that wasn't at that time quite straightforward with the odd glitch that was being addressed. At least you have my information for any future bookings. 🙂 Many thanks again.
This immaculate property is located a short walk to the main street so is perfectly positioned. The property surpassed expectations in every aspect. Highly recommended
From the moment we walked in we knew our weekend was going to be relaxed and fun! Plenty of space and beautiful tranquil setting, from sitting on the balcony over the water sipping our wine and watching the wildlife, to waking up with the Kookaburras, it was heavenly!
Great location to the main shopping precinct. The only problem was that we couldn't get any taxis or other transport to get us to some of the wineries.
Absolutely loved our stay at Maison Du Lac. Beautifully furnished in an awesome location, this property was ideal for our bridal party to stay for our wedding. The hosts were super helpful accomodating. Would definitely recommend!
Unfortunately we got stuck in a 5 day lockdown the minute we arrived in Margaret River - but we couldn't have picked better accommodation. Everything we needed was there and we made good use of the balcony and dam! Nice and quiet location with only a short walk to town. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful home with everything you need, quality furnishings and comfortable beds etc. Great location, 5 minute walk from the main strip. We'll be back!
