The property manager was helpful in all respects. The home was very clean and just as represented in the pictures/description. It was a great location for us...close to cross country skiing. A quiet location at the edge of the forest. I recommend this vacation rental!
The condo is in an incredible location with views of the lake. Easy to get to downtown and nearby ski resorts. The area behind the condo was great for sledding and snow play. The condo is spacious and well laid out. Great for 2 families traveling together. Highly recommend.
This unit is at the back of the development and the forest views are beautiful. We did see a bear back there one evening. Unit was comfortable and well stocked.
Great place. Exactly as advertised. Tough to see the unit numbers in the dark when you’re trying to find the place the first time.

Pools and Hot tubs were under maintenance, they are resurfaced and open!
We stayed her for spring break for a week of hikes, boardgames, coffees and just reconnecting as a family. It was a lively relaxing break. The blind in the main bedroom was broken so it was a bit dark down there during the day but that was our only challenge. Everything else was great. Watch for Coyotes with a dog (saw 2 walk past the front door stairs) but otherwise would strongly recommend.
Such a great property. Perfect for us skiing, exploring the area and plenty of room to play games every night. Hard to find the address at night, would be nice if it was contrasting the post, or if the number was also by the door or light post. Most neighbors had different places for their numbers so it was hard to find at night. well worth looking for though

Nice, updated condo with great open living room and ample space for family and friends. Disappointed that both pools were closed for repair during the 4th of July holiday week as we were all looking forward to using this amenity. Really enjoyed the use of the Rocky Ridge beach club!

Condo was beautifully decorated with unique art and with a warm and cozy feeling. Master bedroom is huge. Bed was a bit soft for us, and one of the other bedroom’s bed is firmer. Two balconies, one right off the master bedroom, the other upstairs. The condo is right up against the forest which was gorgeous after a foot of snow. We saw a large coyote run through the parking area back into the woods, a beautiful sight! Being up the hill, there are amazing views of the lake and sunsets! We will definitely stay here again next visit.

Rocky ridge review
The house has some issues due to water damage, in several locations. The living area where the thermostat is was very comfortable, but when you went downstairs to the sleeping area it was very cold, we had to turn the thermostat way up in order to make the downstairs half way warm. We did get to see a coyote and a bear pass between our house and the neighboring house. The pool/spa areas were closed for our entire stay ( this was one of the major factors for us choosing this rental, since the lake was so far way from the area.). That was a disappointment. But we did read that we would be refunded $25 per day that the pool areas were not available, I look forward to receiving this. This is a nice place to accommodate a lot of people, but it is far way from the lake and any activities, and it comes up when you search for “lakeside accommodations” . The “private beach” was fenced off (not sure why), and not mentioned when renting this property. So that is another thing for others to think about when looking into this unit. Some of the dishes abd pots and pans were dirty, but this falls on the previous people staying there, not the rental company. The firewood provided for us was very green and would not burn, therefore we were unable to have a nice fire in the fireplace.
Some of the light bulbs were out, some were mismatched wattage in the Same light (odd). Knowing what we know now, we probably would not rent here again.

Absolutely loved our short week here, wish we could have stayed longer! The house was spacious, well equipped and well loved - the perfect home away from home. The property grounds were beautiful and sprawling with the most magnificent views of the lake as you drove down to the road. We backed on to the state forest with fabulous access to trails and wildlife spotting. One of the best things was that the house was super dog friendly - our Aussie adored it! Very close to Tahoe City and the rest of North Tahoe with shops and restaurants. Loved it here so much. Would stay again and again! Thank you

Reviewer Comments:
Great location with amazing views & hiking trails. Nature at its best. The place had plenty of room for our family of 5. Cozy & comfortable with plenty of balcony space to enjoy the view of the forest & few bears in the roaming in the evenings. Only issue was that bedrooms were downstairs & was much cooler than upstairs. Couldn’t get the temperature comfortable enough in the bedrooms.
We absolutely loved this condo. It's up high on a hill and feels far from everything, but it's really only about 5 minutes to Safeway, restaurants, activities, and best of all -- the lake! It has 2 pools and hot tubs, but only one pool/hot tub was functional while we were there (early fall). There are also hiking trails you can hop on without driving.
The unit itself was huge. We never even opened one bedroom. There's multiple balconies and lots of space to relax, and if you have a large group it would be easy to find a peaceful place to yourself. The beds were very comfortable, and bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was pretty well stocked, but it is oddly small compared to the rest of the place. Also, there's no coffee (coffee maker, filters, etc. but no coffee).
Our only complaint is we arrived in pitch darkness (8pm in the fall, air filled with smoke). There isn't a single light in the entire neighborhood. We spent at least an hour trying to find the unit. We had to jump out of the car and go up to the door to see the unit numbers. They weren't in a clear order and because it was so dark, we couldn't even see side streets. It was getting scary and we didn't know who to call. Management should provide a map to find the unit because we realized in the morning how steep the road is and how dangerous it actually could have been. Note also many units have bear protection on their steps and doors, and these wouldn't have been fun to find accidentally.
Condo had great location, easy check in / check out, property manager very helpful and quick responses. House wasn’t as clean as I would prefer. After cleaning the main areas, the stay was very comfortable.

My husband, remotely working daughter and I spent 4 days in August and 3 weeks in October at Rocky Ridge #104. Beautiful, relaxing, perfect, fun - just a few words to describe our experience. Having a State Park/National Forest outside your backdoor, lovely neighbors, biking along the Truckee River, hiking beautiful trails, discovering the Tahoe East Shore Trail, feasting on sandwiches from Fuller's Food Truck, goodies from Tahoe House Bakery & Gourmet (I unsuccessfully begged for their Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe!) and outdoor dining at the Fire Sign Cafe all combined for the perfect get-way in this very challenging year. The October fall foliage added to the magic as did looking down at the lake every day from the Ridge. The condo is tastefully decorated, the furniture very comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and boasts a spacious deck with a forest view. Leah from O'Neal Associates was a pleasure to work with, providing great advice and responding to any questions immediatley. Our family would unhesitatingly recommend #104 and hope to return in 2021.
