Simple Life - Lovely Cabin with Great Amenities!

Simple Life is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom private home located in the gated community of Misty Mountain. The Great Room features a wood-burning fireplace and a 55" flat panel TV. The dining area has seating for up to 8 people. The beautiful kitchen is fully equipped. The kitchen has a Keurig coffee machine. The Master bedroom has a King Bed, 42" flat panel TV, and a private bathroom. There are two guest bedrooms. The first guest bedroom has a Queen Bed and a 36" flat panel TV. The second guest bedroom has two twin beds and a 32" flat panel TV. Both bedrooms share a full bathroom.

Misty Mountain offers access to a community pavilion with an outdoor fireplace, picnic tables, 4 gas grills, his/hers bathroom, and a large kitchen with fridge, microwave, and stove/oven. Great place to hang out in the evenings.

This home comes with the option to purchase Sapphire Valley Resort amenities. These amenities are not at the home. They are in a separate drivable location. You may join for $5/day or $25/week per person. Your amenity card will allow access to 2 outdoor swimming pools, one indoor heated pool, 2 hot tubs, wet sauna, exercise room, arcade, ping pong, outdoor miniature golf, horseshoes, basketball courts, tennis/pickleball courts, playground, track, picnic tables, community center, organized excursions to Cherokee and the Biltmore House in Asheville, a 9 hole (par 3) golf course, Zip-Lining, High Ropes Course, Fairfield Lake boating amenities and discounts on ski lift tickets and ski equipment rentals during the winter season.

Your reservation includes a damage protection plan. The damage protection plan is $50, and it covers up to $3,000 in damages. In lieu of purchasing the damage protection plan, guests have the option to choose a refundable security deposit. If you would like to pay a refundable security deposit, please contact us. The security deposit is $500 and will be administered subject to the NC Tenant Security Deposit Act.

Perfect little rental

The location of this rental property is perfect for all activities in the Cashiers/Highland/Glenville area. Close to the main road but far enough that you only get a little road noise. The house itself is in a private setting but you don't feel completely isolated as there are other houses in the neighborhood, but placed in a way that you don't see or hear others. The house is perfect size to keep adults and children happy but affords some privacy. The common space was well equipped and easily enough space for 6. We had a bear come visit us every night before garbage day, but we never saw him, just the aftermath. The rental company was great about responding to questions and concerns. Would definitely stay here again..

Could have been great but wasn’t

I hope our poor housekeeping experience is not the norm for this property or the property management company. The cabin is lovely. It’s just off Rte 64, so we heard some traffic noise, but the cabin is in the woods and it’s very convenient for exploring the area. Regarding the housekeeping, the whole house needed a deep clean. The kitchen was the worst— the refrigerator, counters, floor, rug, stove top, cupboards, drawers, utensils, dishes, and coffee pot all had food grime stuck on. It was bizarre. I’ve rented a number of homes through the years and have never experienced anything like this place. I made efforts— in person with photos, via text, and later an email— to communicate the issues and my disappointment with the rental company with limited success.
