Picture yourself sitting on a spacious porch, looking down on the glistening sun-lit water of one of the most beautiful lakes in the mountains. Split Rail sits on a hill overlooking Lake Glenville, a pristine lake with 26 miles of shoreline, located just 8 miles from Cashiers. This is the highest lake in elevation east of the Mississippi River. An open floor plan with many windows allows for a ton of natural light. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an island with seating; there is a grill on the main floor deck. In the living room, under the soaring tongue and groove ceiling, enjoy a stunning view of the lake, a fire in the large stone fireplace, while relaxing on the over-stuffed sofa. There is a large Smart TV in this room, with access to YouTube TV and other apps. The entry level guest room features a king bed and sliding glass doors to the deck overlooking the lake. An adjacent full bathroom also serves as a powder room for this floor. Upstairs offers a master bedroom with a king bed, a large Smart TV, a private bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub, and access to a private balcony overlooking the lake. There is a large second guest room on this floor, with a king bed, a large Smart TV, and a full bath. The lower level renders another living area with a large couch that seats at least 6, a 65" Smart TV, a gas fireplace, and pool table. The lower-level bedroom has a queen bed and twin bunk beds, a TV, and uses a bathroom with a double shower. From the lower level living area, there are double French doors leading to an outside infinity deck overlooking the lake, seating area, and a hot tub. There is separate entrance to the very spacious garage apartment which has two queen sized beds, ceiling fans, a flat screen TV, and a private bath with shower/tub combination. The apartment offers sliding glass doors to the private balcony, providing natural light and a view of the lake, as well as a kitchenette with a mini fridge, sink, coffee maker, and microwave. This home also has a private dock located just a short walk down the driveway. There are 2 kayaks available. You also have use of the garage.

The house is in a nice quiet spot on the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed having the two kayaks and the hot tub to use since the weather was unseasonably cold. The kitchen is very well stocked and the house is very spacious and nicely furnished.

Great house! Very spacious with enough room for a very large family. The mother-in-law suite above the garage is also very convenient. The dock is roomy; has one personal watercraft port; and is located close to the public boat ramp.

We loved it here. Lake Glenville is perfect for the mountain vacation. Super close to Highlands and Cashiers. We loved kayaking and boating to the waterfalls. The house was perfect! We brought our children and nanny.

It is so great to hear that this house was perfect for you! Thank you for leaving a review!
Great location & spacious rooms to allow all family members their social distance while spending QUALITY time together. The view from 2 awesome porches cannot be beat. And the hot tub was a great option when the weather turned cool. We celebrated our 40th Anniversary with our children
& grandchildren in perfect Lake Style. Looking forward to returning to

The location, house and property were perfect for my 50th birthday getaway. Our girls loved the dock for fishing, feeding the geese, and swimming. The adults enjoyed tge multiple porches with propane heaters, playing cards on the porch, late night hot tub after playing pool. House was very clean and had everything that we could have ever wanted. We will definitely return for our next trip.

This was a great house and had a wonderful view of the lake. It had a fully stocked kitchen and we did a lot of cooking. The porch was really nice. The only thing I would say that needs to be changed is the downstairs living room. The lighting is terrible. It is so bright that we could not use it. Dimmer switches would help a lot. The upstairs gets hot when it is not wintertime but opening some windows did help get a nice breeze. Overall, it is a really nice house and we would stay there again especially if they fix the lighting downstairs. :-)
Loved this place! The view is amazing, the water cool and clean, the outdoor activities are plentiful! The screened in porch over-looking it all with a high top table and rockers were our favorite spot to be! Close to hikes and boat rentals.
Very relaxing lake house! House was well kept and very clean. Hot tub is awesome! Grill worked great. Kitchen had everything you could need to prepare wonderful family meals. Boat rental place easy to grab a boat and enjoy for a few hours or days. Kayaks provided great sight seeing adventures. Only slight issue we had was no real blankets due to COVID. We went into town and purchased our own. Shopping in town was a joy!

Very comfortable and a great view!!
My family really enjoyed all the extra space this home provided. The kitchen and furnishings were all well appointed. We especially enjoyed the dock, beautiful view and the kayaks as well. We were also very pleased to find the ground floor had been recently renovated and outfitted with an extra bedroom/bath, tv area and pool table. Also, a brand new downstairs porch and hot tub were a great surprise. We would definitely stay here again!
