We ALL had an amazing stay at this beautiful beachfront home. 5 Stars 10/10 The house was really roomy - perfect for our multi-generational family group. Btw, the elevator made it easy for my 84yo mom to enjoy all levels. All of the family, especially the kids, loved the heated pool (adults loved that the kids had something fun to do!!!) We brought our dog, Snowy, a white-lab - and it was SO easy to have Snowy with us! Cannot forget to mention the incredible ocean views - it was so wonderfully fun and relaxing. Also, host was fabulous and very communcative and responsive - which was great b/c we had a few questions re. some recommnedations, and she reposnded really quickly. Again, truly a 10/10 stay. We all want to definitely come back!

GREAT family beach week!

This house is AMAZING ... just bring your bathing suit and sunscreen, as everything else is provided (beach/pool towels, beach toys, beach/pool chairs, every piece of cookware and kitchen gadgetry you can imagine, pack n' plays, high chairs -- you name it, this house has it! Right on the beach and includes a wonderful pool. We had SO MUCH FUN! Great location - close to shopping and Surf City, but very private, quiet and safe for kids.

Spectacular, we will be back!

This was the best outfitted house we have rented at the beach. The kitchen was amazing, filled with all the stuff you could ever want and even more (like an ice cream machine). The rooms were excellent, there was plenty of space for family hang out time. The pool and deck furniture was top notch. We look forward to coming back.

Great beach house with elevator and pool!

Our family stayed for a week and loved the heated pool and hot tub. Beach access was easy! The elevator was crucial for our 93y/o mother. The dogs loved their dog runs! House included all the amenities and a wonderful kitchen and large tables for eating both inside and out.Great location!

We have been renting houses at Topsail for 25 years and this is the best as far as size, location and amenities. Whenever you go on vacation there are going to be glitches...what we experienced were minor and quickly corrected by Carol and Dewey. Great experience! Definitely want to come back

Amazing Home for Family Vacation

This home is spot on. The beach view and close proximity is amazing. The kitchen is super big and fully stocked with everything you need. The pool and hot tub were clean. All the furniture was cozy and comfortable. The forth floor master was my favorite spot. The owners were easy to communicate with and provided quick feedback. Very clean home and bathrooms. We loved our stay and hope to book again soon.

This house was perfectly amazing!!! What a peaceful retreat - even with 6 teenagers! We had more space than we needed which was perfect. Idyll by the Sea 2 had all the amenities plus conveniences - laundry detergent, fabric softener, hand soap, garbage bags, beach towels, spices, etc. Truly you just need to bring your clothes, get groceries and ENJOY!!! Would love to go back.

50th Anniversary celebration

A beautiful house in a perfect beachfront location. Everything you need is there so packing is a breeze. The pool is large with very nice furniture surrounding. All the many outdoor spots are lovely. The indoor space is large enough for big family meals and fun. We had 16 family members. Everyone had a wonderful time!

One Of A Kind!!!!

Amazing from start to finish. The owner (Carol) was awesome to work with. The house was in a league of it's on. So well organized with labels and instructions which I loved. We had an amazing week here! The owner was very responsive and provided comprehensive information about the property and local area. The beach (steps from the house) was not crowded even for an August week. The house included everything we could possibly need and more, including lovely baby and kid favorites and a thoughtful welcome basket. The pool and spa suite made the stay feel like a private resort. Plenty of room for 3 families and a few grandparents. Highly recommend!!

Lovely, warm, and welcoming cottage

There were so many good things about Idyll By The Sea Two - abundant luxurious bath towels, a most generous welcoming gift bag filled with things to make you feel like an invited guest, and fine toiletries in each bathroom. Great environment for my 2 dogs - dog treats, dishes, leashes, disposable bags and a dog yard. The beautiful and dear pictures on every wall made me smile - so many lovely things to look at. We were there Easter Week, and there were Easter arrangements everywhere I looked! Of course, the best part is the location of the beach and the warm heated pool. My grandkids enjoyed the ocean and pool every day even on cool days! My husband is very disabled, and the handicap accessible bathroom was so well equipped. I want to thank the owners for allowing my family - grown children and grandchildren - to stay in this very friendly and lovely home. I hope to be able to return.

Exceptional choice for a beach house rental

As a luxury vacation home owner who also rents, I can be somewhat "picky" when it comes to choosing a vacation home for my family. I think my opinion may perhaps matter more than some. Idyll by the Sea is certainly the finest beach house I have ever rented. Exceptionally well-equipped, in fact stunningly well equipped, the house is likely your best choice in the area for a large, luxury rental. Beautifully situated directly on the beach, Idyll is well laid out, lovingly maintained, and perfect in virtually every way. Most importantly, you may rest assured the house is not only as good as advertised, but even better than you expect when you arrive. I strongly suggest a visit to their website prior to making your decision. A VRBO ad can only go so far in showing a house's features. Theirs is a comprehensive website well worth the visit. The owner is very helpful, easy to work with and a font of good information. I have, literally, not a single complaint about my stay at Idyll by the Sea, and plan to return.

Great house in a great spot

Our extended family of 14 had a wonderful time here over the long MLK weekend in January. The consensus view was that this was the best of many houses that we’ve rented over the years. It has wonderful views, nice decor, great common spaces, a wonderful kitchen, lovely hot tub and, as we hoped, a layout that worked well for our 90-year old matriarch. The house is full of lovely and unexpectedly delightful touches from a bedroom and bathroom that are really handicapped accessible to the lovely solar powered tea lights on the deck and the wonderful outdoor couch on the top floor porch. Even the somewhat less than great weather couldn’t put a damper on a great time.

The Nicest House in Topsail!

We had our wedding/honeymoon at Idyll By The Sea in North Topsail, and we had the time of our lives. The home has to be the nicest home on Topsail - 8 bedrooms, huge kitchen/family room, heated pool, hot tub, top floor master suite all by itself, oceanfront, the list goes on and on. Carol was a joy to deal with and made us feel at home. Speaking of feeling at home, since Carol and her family use this house frequently, it has the feel of being in a "home" as opposed to a "rental", with beautiful décor throughout. We loved every aspect of this home and would love to revisit this spot in the future. This home is also pet-friendly, and needless to say our dog loved it there! Highly recommended for anyone looking for the best large home luxury rental on the island!

Our HOME Away From Home!

You are in for a real treat with this gorgeous house!! Our family has been coming back for many years, and feel truly blessed to stay in such a lovely well-cared for home! This feels like a home you are sharing—and you are! There are so many places to hang out and relax, and we’ve enjoyed them all! My favorites are hanging out under the porte cochere while the kids ride bike or do chalk drawings, watching sunsets from the screened in porch outside of the playroom, reading on the fabulous deck chaise lounges, and enjoying the warmth of the fireplace in cool weather. There is so much to keep everyone occupied that you have no desire to venture anywhere else! There are tons of games and puzzles, movies, cookbooks and novels for young readers and adults, and a fully outfitted kitchen for any kind of baking or cooking you can dream up!! The fresh seafood available nearby is a must! And there are even fresh herbs by the pool to use! The owners certainly have an eye towards pampering their guests! (Down beds, coffee, luxurious robes…) There are so many whimsical decorative touches as well to make you smile. If you go near the holidays you will even find the place extensively decorated! The location is absolutely perfect, with easy access to the beach, and groceries nearby for creating those family meals and special treats. From morning runs on the beach to shark teeth hunting and long afternoon walks, to late night sparklers, the beach is spectacular in all the seasons we’ve visited! Our last trip involved boogie boarding and catching the waves--that’s how you make a grown up giggle! And of course the pool! The pool is large enough to really swim, play volleyball, or whatever games the kids think up. It feels very private and sheltered from the wind, and has a nearby ping pong table, pool table, and ice maker. Follow that up with time in the hot tub, and you feel like life couldn’t get better! Thanks so much for sharing your spectacular home with us!

Perfect - Blissful - Beautiful - Simple

I spent a week with six (6) friends/professional colleagues at this beautiful home. We spent nearly a year planning for our stay; communication with the owner was excellent and very accommodating. Each one of us had our own room; the main living areas are spacious/open/airy. And, the unique and treasured perk of immediate access to the ocean via a few steps from the property provided the serene environment needed for a bunch of busy professionals from the Midwest! The time spent at Idyll by the Sea Two was, by far, the BEST vacation I've had in my 57 years of life. I am looking forward to my next-scheduled trip in 2016!
