RedBach Retreat by the sea



Looking for a quiet place where you can rest and relax and sleeps up to 18 people. Like to feel the sea breeze on your face and have only a few minutes’ walk to the beach? Come and stay in this quirky retro environment, 20 mins south of Whanganui and 45 mins North West of Palmerston North.
RedBach Retreat is nestled amongst unique landscaped gardens, the main building containing the communal kitchen and lounge, and a double bedroom. Together with the 6 individual cabins adjoining, there is sleeping accommodation for up to 18 people. All beds have memory foam topper pads, pillows, and quilts. We now have two kitchens and there are two bathrooms and two showers.
Linen and towels are provided. High chair and one porta cot are available on request at no charge. There are numerous outdoor dining and seating areas and a gas BBQ and gas is supplied. There is a cosy warm log fire in the lounge with fire guard for those wintery nights and a fire in the large kitchen area also. All cabins have their own electric heaters and electric blankets.
There is plenty of parking within the property for vehicles. Provision of locked facilities to keep beach toys safe is available on request.
We will allow dogs if agreed on before a booking is made. Stock up on groceries before you come from Whanganui, Marton or Palmerston North as there are no shops in the village of Koitiata. Turakina Service Station is 8 km out on the main road with petrol, diesel, and limited groceries.

A perfect stay for our business group.

Red bach is such a good set up - separate cosy bedrooms, and cosy, homely shared kitchen living area. It worked so well for our biz group weekend get together. Loved the epic wild beach and estuary, great walks, friendly locals - a weekend wasn't long enough! Terry and Barbara were great to deal with.

We loved our stay at the red bach. Is close to the beach and playground. The place was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Great that we could bring our dogs along too.

Fantastic bach, great for our family get together. Could accommodate all the out-of-towners at one place, with room to have the local crowd over for a bbq. We will definitely be coming back, we loved it.

Magical Place

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in this gorgeous place. Barbara was a brilliant and generous host. The Bach was very comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed all the different nooks and crannies to hang out in. Would highly recommend and we hope to return soon.

Perfect Holiday Retreat

What an amazing placeRed Bach Retreat by the sea is. The hosts Barbara and Terry were incredibly accomodating and friendly. We loved our time there- it is perfect for a family group as we all had our own space but also a shared space were we get get together to mix and mingle. I will definitely be booking it again when family are home. Thank you both for providing such a wonderful spot.

Fabulous

This retreat is just what it is advertised as - perfect for relaxation for family and friends. Love the separate cabin approach which gives everyone their own space whilst the central outdoors - but undercover area is perfect. We loved it, the boys came back from the masters and relaxed. Will definitely be back

Red Bach Retreat was Red Bach Gallery for a number of years selling our hand made copper sculptures. Due to injury we closed the gallery and are now running Writers Retreats, Sculpture Workshops, and I have written a book and made a series of sculptures for the last 6 years called The Secret Keeper.
