About the host
Hosted by Gigi
Originally from Southern California, I am an attorney, wife, mom, and entrepreneur. My husband Cameron is a professional chef and is interested in real estate. We've lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and now call Atlanta our home. It's a nice change in pace/cost. I still try to walk or use public transit when I can though. It's way better than driving in ATL traffic.
I like building + painting. I'm a sucker for cheesecake, lemon bars, or ice cream. I love exploring the world, trying new wines, and hearing people laugh.

Why they chose this property
NEIGHBORHOOD
Our house is located in the historic Edgewood neighborhood. It is approximately 3 miles east of downtown Atlanta and was developed during Atlanta’s Reconstruction-era economic boom that lasted from 1870 to 1910. The neighborhood has a mix of primarily porch-ready craftsman bungalows and modern and new construction.
Neighborhoods, such as Little Five Points, Candler Park, East Atlanta, Inman Park, Old Fourth Ward, Virginia Highlands, Reynoldstown, Cabbagetown, and Kirkwood are only a couple of miles away and are full of restaurants, bars, parks, shops, etc. I would be happy to provide you with some nearby or local recommendations.
Our house is near a number of parks with biking areas and playgrounds, such as Candler Park Golf Course, Iverson Park, Freedom Park, the Beltline, Coan Park, and Walker Park.
* PLEASE NOTE - Being in the city has its perks - lots of restaurants, cultural events, proximity to colleges, public transportation, etc. With that in mind, please always lock all doors if you leave the house and do not leave any valuables that can be seen in your car. We've never had an issue, but we don't want you to be a target either.

What makes this property unique
TRANSPORTATION
Public transportation is close and very easy to use. The Edgewood-Candler Park MARTA subway station is approximately a 10-minute walk from the house and accesses all Westbound (towards Downtown) and Eastbound lines (towards Decatur) (Blue + Gold lines). There are also multiple bus routes that run through Edgewood and are within walking distance.
Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport is approximately a 15-minute drive away and the MARTA subway connects directly from airport.
You can also save yourself from any crazy Atlanta traffic by walking or using Uber or Lyft (which hardly ever takes more than a few minutes to come).
In addition, Kroger supermarket + pharmacy (open 24 hours), Target, Best Buy, Lowes, Barnes and Noble, Office Depot, Bed, Bath & Beyond, as well as other major retail stores, are a short 10-minute walk (less than 1 mile) from the house at the Edgewood Retail District.
With that being said, there is plenty of parking if you have a car. You are welcome to park it on the driveway or any open space on the street. As a courtesy, please do not block any of our neighbors' driveways.
