We enjoyed this little cottage on the farm. It was close to the golf course and we hiked the Rifle falls and the Rifle arch. There is even a path out of the back gate of the property to the adjacent open space! We saw deer and turkeys out of the window.
This was our first time to Rifle. I booked this place because it was close to friends we were visiting. The hosts were amazing and were flexible with us when the dates of our trip changed last minute. The property was very clean and nice. We would definitely recommend!
Oh, and there were fresh baked cookies waiting for us when we checked in!! How cool is that!
Our stay was absolutely perfect! Our hosts greeted us with cookies when we arrived and the stay on the farm was just what our family needed;-) The turkeys woke us in the morning and back again each sunset. The puppies were 5 weeks old and a highlight to visit daily. The house is a perfect location for hiking Rifle Falls and staying local or a short drive to the east or west for anything else you might want to do.
We booked our stay at the R Farm for our daughter’s wedding weekend. We needed a place to park our enclosed trailer and a kitchen so I could work on the wedding cake. This home fit the bill perfectly. The home is clean, beds were so comfortable and the location is close enough to town for quick trips. The owners were more than accommodating…they were friendly, helpful and kind. We would recommend the R Farm to anyone visiting the Rifle area, and will definitely book there when we visit again!
The house is out on the edge of Rifle, secluded but still within 5 minutes of restaurants, groceries, and parks. It's very close to rifle falls and rifle gap state parks, about 30 minutes from Glenwood springs. It's nice to have a quiet place to settle down outside of the busy tourist areas. The house itself was clean, comfy beds, and a full kitchen including gas stove. The kids loved running around outside, climbing trees and checking out the animals. Make sure you get a tour of the greenhouse! Enjoyed beautiful views at the bedroom window in the morning. Would stay here again if we come back to the area!
Warm welcomes are what you receive while staying at this property. From not just the humans… the animals too! 🙂 The house is perfect and has all the essentials. But the best part is how great this family 15/10 - it’s perfect and definitely recommend.
The owners are very welcoming. The house is comfortable for a party of seven. We liked the location very much. It is not too far from Glenwood, but has amenities on its own.
The kids loved a little farm experience!
This is a great place to stay.
We first arrived to fresh chocolate chips cookies, after a 8 hour car ride this was amazing. The owners and their children where so nice and played and talked with our children. There animals were well behaved, the dogs are trained to stay away from the property but my kids ran right to them to give bellie rubs.
Great place hope to stay again.
We had a great time here! We were looking for some where close to town and large enough to accommodate all 8 of us! That is exactly what we found, but there were added bonuses as well! My kids had such a great time playing with the Robinson kids and getting a little taste of country life! The house was so clean and had awesome "homie" touches every where including fresh warm cookies! You can tell that they truly care about their guests! Since we have left my kids have asked to go back several times! Lol! We will definitely have to return!
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Zach's farm! The house is lovely and so comfortable and clean, with everything a family needs to have a great vacation. Zach and his family were so welcoming and kind, and our kids loved getting to meet the farm animals. We so hope to come back another time!

About the host
Hosted by Zachariah Robinson
Our family has been in Western Colorado for generations. This homestead provides us the opportunity to practice regenerative farming and permaculture while we raise our kids too. When we have guests, we enjoy sharing the farm experience and giving tours. Of course, it's also fun to simply stay with us and go enjoy the lake, Glenwood caverns, the hot springs, or (our favorite) skiing.
Why they chose this property
Our neighborhood consists of single family homes on 4-10 acres. It's the perfect place to live on a little land and still be close to town.
What makes this property unique
We love our place! We have more trees than most of our neighbors and yet still have a tremendous view of the surrounding mountains. While farm chores pull us outside, we delight in watching the light change on the Roan Cliffs or seeing the milky way on a clear starry night.
