Large Family Home situated in the peaceful countryside only 30 minutes south of Auckland on the Bombay Hills. Fully set up with kitchen, dining, lounge, covered courtyard with bbq and laundry. 9 hole golf/footgolf course next door with fully licenced clubhouse/restaurant, pool, darts and Golf Simulator. Please note the owner lives on site in a self contained area so it is not suitable for wild parties where you invite other guests.

3. Queen and single share bathroom, . 4 Queen room share bathroom, 5. Double and a single share bathroom. 6. Large bedsit lounge with queen bed and 2 x singles, lounge area and dining, share bathroom. There are 2 share bathrooms. Nice family lounge with Sky tv & Netflix, dining, full kitchen and shared laundry. Outdoor courtyard with BBQ and seating.

(The Clubhouse is a separate business) Walk 40 metres and enjoy a fun 9 holes of Golf or Foot Golf, hit in our indoor driving range and training facility now set up with a Golf Simulator, or grab a drink and a bite to eat. We are fully licensed, offer an all-day cafe-style menu, plus offer a specialist menu that can be customised to your requirements for any function. It’s a good idea to book your tee time by phone or email - that way you get priority. Cafe open Wed through to Sunday with Friday night restaurant.

Set across 19 pristine acres, Maxwell’s – Boutique Golf Course and Function Centre is much more than a golf course. Our fantastic club house is very popular for weddings, engagements, birthday parties, private functions, business meetings, corporate events and much more.

A key reason for our popularity is our location – perfectly positioned for those wanting a midway point catering for Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty visitors.

Kaye was a wonderful host. The house was nice a spacious. We had 12 guests staying and felt we still had ample space. The kitchen was very large. Check in was easy and there were plenty of places to sit. Parking and check-in was quick and I got a tour as well to show the important information. Would recommend to anyone looking for a large house in the Bombay/ Pukekohe region.

Nice but slightly disappointed

Beautiful location and nice property - the only reason why i wouldnt go back again is that the owner or manager was slightly racist .. She had obviously seen my name was not a traditional European name, although i was born here in NZ and she sent me a message the night before check-in advising me "no curries to be cooked in the house". Would upload a screenshot if i was able.. Secondly no keys were given for the property (maybe she didn't trust me coz im brown?) In addition she also insisted that i provided credit card details and then wrote down my personal credit card information on some bit paper - even though accommodation was paid for in full via bookabach. Upon arrival she even asked what my group of friends would be eating as she really wanted to make sure i wasn't going to cook curry.... Im also guessing she may have been suprised i was the only Indian on the stay and that i had a Kiwi accent...Cheers for the hospitality.

After living in the city for 17 years, it was like ‘coming home’ when Kaye Maxwell purchased a 19 acre farm in 2000. Set in a very beautiful part of the Franklin countryside, Kaye has since transformed ‘the farm’ into the stunning 9 hole boutique golf retreat that it is today! Her family home is now a guest house with 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and lots of living space with indoor and outdoor flow. 9 hole golf course and separate Clubhouse with cafe is a bonus.

"At age 40 I knew it was time for a change. After playing competitive golf for 25 years I wanted to help people learn to play; offer the chance to have fun with golf and forget the rules for a while. I wanted people to feel and hear the countryside while they did so - just as I was able to do while growing up in the Mangatawhiri Valley."

The Clubhouse is the hub of the property offering a warm and friendly environment with indoor training facilities and Golf Simulator, Pro Shop, cafe/bar, conference/function facilities, with onsite B&B accommodation.

The 9 hole golf course is a challenge for all - with Championship tee's through to beginners tee's. The course is affiliated to NZ Golf, for women, men and juniors offering 9 or 18 hole handicaps.

Maxwell's is a popular destination for coaching (indoors and out), membership, meetings/functions, social club outings, girls and guys day out packages ... and so much more

Maxwell's Golf Retreat is situated only 30 minutes south of Auckland City, just five minutes from the Bombay Hills motorway interchange. It offers a peaceful setting at the end of a country lane with views out over the countryside. We welcome your visit.
