About this property
Romantic Three Rivers River Craftsman
Stunning, elegant and creative Craftsman, gorgeous artist's property, 4 poster king size bed w white cotton voile curtains, large studio with architectural character amid the backdrop of the Sequoia National Park. A remarkable space with terraces and vaulted ceilings as well as a pergola perched amid the sycamores along the river with dining and lounging chairs, mosquito net & curtains, (overnight bedding optional, seasonal) and set up dependent on weather. Five minute drive to the center of the village of Three Rivers where the restaurants and Village Market are and then 6 miles into the Sequoia National Park. The studio comprises the ground floor level with its own entrance. A well loved vacation rental on a seasonal river for many years but new to VRBO and Homeaway. A super clean space with guests receiving maximum privacy and thorough distancing. Your terrace and pergola visits are private at all times. Please always check Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and Mineral King websites for latest weather information. Although summer is considered the most stable weather, spring and fall are gorgeous and snow around the base of the world's tallest trees is an unparalleled experience. All seasons have their beauty. Host is familiar with some of the best summer river swimming and will be happy to share with fit and adventurous guests. : )

This is a unique and fun property to stay at! The hosts are both very responsive! Very nice comfy bed with all the linens and extra blankets and pillows you could want. There were very nice touches like healthy snacks and breakfast items, soft drinks and water...very thoughtful! The river out back is soothing and there are tons of outdoor spaces to relax in. Three Rivers is a quaint town with plenty of eating options and a grocery store that has everything. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again, if we're ever in the area!
Eric and Cara were excellent hosts. Eric help with suggestions on what to do while we were in the area. He showed us the property and made sure everything was set up, it felt like it was our own second home. The property is a nature lovers paradise, they even had nuts available for you to try to feed the blue jays.
We had an Incredibly romantic two night stay to wind down after the JazzAffair weekend festival. The suite was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed to cocoon - comfy seating area inside and multiple outdoor spaces solely for our use including seating and a hammock immediately next to the river. The bed was supper comfortable - soft with good support enabling great nights of sleep and long mornings lazing in bed with tea and coffee. The suite is also very close to great hiking. We’ll definitely be back!

David, we are so grateful for your stay with us… In the lovely reviews, thank you thank you!!
This place was as described and more. We read previous posts and followed their suggestions to change plans In order to spend an afternoon on the property. We were not disappointed. The welcome we received from Eric was genuine as was his love for the property. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon sitting by the river and napping in the hammock. It was therapeutic to soak our feet in the water after days of hiking. The home is very close to restaurants, grocery store and entrance to Sequoia NP. We wish we could have stayed longer.
We loved our stay! Excellent access to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the house and the property with lots of outside spaces to hang out - especially liked coffee by the river!! Our hosts were welcoming and gracious!
Wow! We booked to be close to Sequoia NP, which it is. Yet the craftsman studio and many outdoor spaces were so fantastic that we cut our visit to the park shorter to spend more time enjoying the space! The photos don’t do it justice. Very comfortable bed, cozy couch, enjoyable shower. Chairs and a table to relax and/or eat outside on the patio. Another outdoor space above the picturesque river with chairs and beds. Yet another outdoor space with chairs and a hammock right on the river. Very romantic and you may choose to never leave

Oh thank you so much for posting a photograph too along with this lovely review… We're always so grateful for our kind guests, thank you!!
Absolutely the most serene VRBO stay ever! Everything was as described and super clean. Perfectly located away from town but very quick to get breakfast or coffee in the morning. Easy drive into SNP. Great communication with host and no issues were found throughout the stay. This VRBO is truly a 10!
The host is very friendly. The pictures cannot do this place justice. Such a quaint, peaceful and beautiful location. My wife and I loved our stay here! We’ll definitely be back!
Absolutely adorable accommodations! This property includes outstanding indoor and outdoor facilities that made our stay so enjoyable. I enthusiastically recommend! Plus the hosts are wonderful. I’m so happy I discovered this listing!
This was the perfect long weekend getaway from Southern California. The location was close enough to Sequoia National Park but peaceful and serene. We enjoyed the studio and the outside areas. spaces by the river.
The hosts were wonderful…they met and welcomed us even though we unexpectedly arrived early, provided us with interesting and valuable insights into the suite and outdoor amenities, and then provided us with ultimate privacy throughout our stay. The property inside and out was accurately described and if anything it is a conservative description. It is definitely a retreat in itself and you should plan to spend some time there. It is located at the base of a mountain and alongside a narrow rushing river, with landscaping you could appreciate from any viewpoint. There were chairs and hammock just feet from the river, a delightful gazebo with grill also with excellent river view, and a patio for sitting or outdoor dining surrounded by beautiful plants and the sound of the rushing river. The suite has its own uniqueness and beauty and history and was very efficiently equipped to handle all our needs. Attention to details in design and function was unique. We stayed 4 nights, spent two days enjoying the Sequoia National Park hiking through the sequoia groves and decided to spend our third day in our Romantic Suite in Three Rivers! Thank you Caroline and Eric for providing us a delightful stay!

Stayed three nights for husband's birthday. This is a dream space with lovely hosts. More than we expected even from the gorgeous photos. Loved our stay.
Met and exceeded our expectations - both the studio itself and the beautiful location it is located in. Having this place to come home to after visiting the parks really enhanced our vacation. Thanks for everything!

Then we certainly do appreciate your stay with us, thank you so much :-) you were lovely!!
What an incredibly charming and comfortable place! Before we left, we both commented that we should have allowed for extra days to just relax by the river and play with the birds. The hosts were delightful and helpful. I would highly recommend it, and I will try to come back to the area specifically to stay here!
This is a wonderful place , a slice of heaven. So many amazing spaces. Pics don’t do it justice . Relaxing . We came in for a trip to National Parks were just as amazed with property as the forest . Can’t wait until we come back . Host were so nice and welcoming.

About the host
Hosted by Caroline
City girl, country girl, I need them both and travel between Santa Monica and Three Rivers, Ca. Our property is at the entrance to the iconic Sequoia National Park.
Why they chose this property
This home is a bespoken, (hand made) art piece, lovingly created over thirty years starting in the 1980's using turn of the century architectural pieces collected over the lifetime of the artist/builder's father. Stunning attention to detail, a modern craftsman home described as if one is living in a dream, a novel, a tree house, and someone's imagination....a beautiful treasure we are so happy to share.
What makes this property unique
We always suggest the Ole' Buckaroo for eating, the Brewery for drinking, the Sequoia Cafe for sipping and Sierra Sub for sandwiches and take home meals for later. There is also the Pizza Factory, Mendosa's Mexican, Reimers for ice cream and the Gateway for a fab location on the river and full bar near the entrance to the park. We have yoga & indoor cycling options in Three Rivers for longer stays. Besides going to Giant Forest; please consider Morro Rock hike, Topekah Falls and Ladybug Trail at certain times of the year, as well the Lakes Trail high in the park. Coming here you will have access to both Sequoia National Park and King Canyon National Park. Four days is a wonderful stay ; ) Exeter, California is a charming town about 25 minutes from us as you arrive towards town, with two French restaurants, Monet's being our fave. Great place to shop, eat and check out the famous murals.
