Modern, newly renovated 1 bedroom apartment with combined TV/lounge area, full self catering kitchenette with dining area. One of 2 holiday rentals adjoined to my property in the upmarket residential area of Atlantic Shores. Private entrance and patio, shared plunge pool, set in a tropical garden. Just a one minute walk to the best South Coast Surfing Spot 'South Point' and a short stroll for more surfing at Freights Bay. For swimming, sunbathing and watersports: the beautiful Miami Beach is 5 minute drive away. Oistins (5 min. drive) offers: shops, banks, supermarkets, bars, food and entertainment. For more nightlife, entertainment and a vast selection of bars, clubs and restaurants (to suit all budgets), the famous South Coast hotspot ‘St. Lawrence Gap’ is a 15 minute drive.

This cozy apartment offers everything you could possibly need for an affordable Barbados vacation. Surfing is literally at the end of the road and you’re only a short drive away from beautiful beaches and all the fun and activities that Barbados has to offer. The airport is just a 15 minute drive away, pick-up can be arranged.

Neat, clean and well equipped.

Huge house divided to create 2 self catering apartments adjacent to owner's residence, separated by secure, locked doors. Ours was a cute, neat, clean apartment, with a well equipped kitchen, large bedroom with ensuite and little terrace. Nice area, great location for surfers. No nearby shops/ restaurants so having a car is a good idea though Annie tries to help out by giving lifts when possible.

Best place to be!

Our host was simply amazing! That’s a high plus to start with! The location couldn’t be better, 1 min walk to South Point surf break, 10 min walk to Freights surf break (great sunset at both places), 10 min car ride to Oistins. Bus stop are close by. The lodging is simply perfect. Everything you need for convenience and comfort. Beautiful landscape with flowers and a plunge pool - perfect coming back from the beach. Breezy an cool patio. Safe. Quiet and beautiful neighborhood where you can take walks or jog looking at nice properties and the ocean. There’s even a lighthouse in the hood. We highly recommend this gem! Period :) Cannot wait to go back!

A Home Away From Home

Home Away from Home (but with better Wifi, TV and weather). I cannot recommend staying here enough. It is truly a home away from home with everything you need, but with better weather, a pool, awesome TV/WIFI and an awesome host. Annie went above and beyond throughout our stay. She helped direct the taxi driver on our arrival, took us food shopping to undertake a big shop, always offered to pick things up from the shop if we needed anything, took us to the airport and even took us out for a beer at one of the local bars. She also gave us the space to just be, relax and enjoy the weather and location, and never complained about the loudness of the TV or music. It is not just the host however, (sorry Annie) that means if I return to Barbados I will stay here (and bring my friend and colleague Mojo with me next time). It is the location, views, peace and tranquillity that will keep bringing me back. I have stayed in a number of places in Bridgetown and Annie’s place beats them all hands down (bar maybe the cooking since you have to cook for yourself, but if you are good cook – I’m not – then it is better than any hotel). The kitchen has everything you need, and the oven is deceptive. Despite being small it cooked everything you could think of from the best jacket potatoes to a roast chicken. The kitchen has everything you could want or need, including a pepper mill. The WIFI and TV are better than any hotel I have stayed in on the Island not only for its strength but also consistency/reliability, so this place is perfect for work/writing retreats. In fact, despite being slightly out of town, the walk into town is beautiful and certainly not onerous (and I’m not a huge fan of walking). There are numerous beaches and beautiful spots you can stop to rest, take in the view and watch turtles swimming in the sea. The sea and surfers point is a 1 minute walk from the house (at the end of the road), where you can watch beautiful sunsets and the last surfers of the day catching the evening waves. It really is magical. Despite not being on the seafront you can hear the Ocean, but apart from that the apartment is so peaceful and relaxing (more so than Bridgetown) it is definitely the perfect place to unwind and relax. Her dogs are also lovely, and for dog owners, give you a comforting greeting at the gate as you come and go. Ultimately, I travel a lot and stay in hotels and apartments a lot, but this was by far one of the best I have stayed in. I'll be back :)

I moved to Barbados 20 years ago so I’m very accustomed and knowledgeable to life in Barbados. Anything you want or need, please just ask. From car hire, trips and excursions, to the best restaurant to eat at. I do live on and work from the property but your privacy is important to us, so I’m here to assist you on an as and when needed basis.

Perfect for surfers, with the sea just a one minute walk away. A beautiful scenic area if you enjoy walking. A breathtaking sea view is literally at the end of the road where you’ll experience the most amazing sunsets. A safe and friendly neighbourhood with active community watch program. Atlantic Shores, you’re away from all the hustle and bustle but just a short drive away from all the fun and activity.
