Mt. Washington Home located conveniently just outside of downtown Pittsburgh.
My home is conveniently located minutes from the beautiful views of Downtown Pittsburgh. A 10-15 Minute Uber away from almost anywhere in the city. It is 2 floors with the entrance just off of the street, a full kitchen, full bath and 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in one and 3 bunks beds in the other. It's perfect for a family, a couple's getaway or a group of friends or colleagues to explore our amazing city. There are TV's in the kitchen, master bedroom and living room, a large island that is the perfect work space for business. And the shower is brand new. There are 2 parking spaces behind the house and plenty of street parking. There is keyless entry using a pin so no need to meet for keys and you can check in or out any time you want within reason. The basement is my apartment with outside access so I may or may not be there at any point but usually stay at my mother's when I have guests.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is located a quick walk from neighborhood restaurants and bars and a quick walk to the overloook where you can see the whole city. Definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful weekend. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The shower was roomy with excellent water pressure. Many quality eateries were within walking distance.
The house was clean and comfortable for us and our two dogs. It was nice to have off street parking and a short Uber ride to downtown. Ryan was very accommodating and quick to respond. I would definitely stay there again!
Ryan was wonderful and his home was clean, comfortable, and perfect for the four of us and our two dogs. We are in town for the Pittsburgh Marathon and it was the perfect spot for pre and post race activities.Thank you for everything! We will be back.
This was the perfect place for our weekend visit to Pittsburgh! Everything the property owner said about their house was absolutely accurate. I would recommend this property, its owner, and the value to my family, friends, and strangers looking for the ideal place to stay in Pittsburgh. We would 100% stay here again.
The house was clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is great, where we enjoyed sightseeing along the overview of the city as well as the great little restaurants and bars in Shiloh. The hills are a great workout for a morning run. Easy walk to the incline to drop down to go downtown.
My husband and I traveled to Pittsburgh for the weekend. The property is perfect just across the Liberty bridge, it’s super close to downtown while being on the quieter side. The parking space behind the property is super clutch. We loved the short walk to Grandview overlook.
Home was just as advertised and worked for all our needs.
Very convenient location to uber into the city. Host was extremely helpful with an access request that we really appreciated.

OK place
Needed a little work and bathroom was HOT. Plus stairway up to the bedrooms was kind of treacherous. In the end it served our needs though
Overall the property was as advertised. My major concern revolved around the presence of cameras in the living room and kitchen. I was told they were inactive during occupancy but they were intermittently turned on during our stay as indicated by their led light. I found that terribly intrusive. It appears that this is a newer owner, when the code for the door was transmitted we were given 4 digits, unfortunately the lock required 5 digits. After several attempts the correct code was given and we were admitted to the property.

I set up a 4 digit PIN for the August home lock but found that it has a minimum requirement of 5 digits when I tested it. He apparently didn't see the updated code in his messages until the first code did not work. I made the change and forwarded the new pin as soon as possible. While keyless entry is very convenient, it is less than perfect. Batteries can die at any point and when people don't push the door shut, the lock can jam but I am as responsive as I possibly can be with any of these issues..
As for the cameras, the listing explicitly mentions they are there to verify the number of guests and that there are no parties. They are only in common spaces and only record for 15 seconds when someone initially trips the motion sensor. They do not continually record.
I enjoy travelling and I have been to 67 countries and all 7 continents. I always treat the place I am staying as I would my own home and I ask that you do the same. I have had season tickets for the Penguins for 22 years and the Steelers for 6. Both pairs are on the aisle and may be available if you are interested. I also drive Uber and Lyft on the weekends and may be available to give you a discounted ride to some of the hard to reach spots around town such as Falling Water which I highly recommend.
Why they chose this property
I first moved to Mount Washington in 2009 because I loved the views nearby. I soon learned that it is it's own little suburb within the city. It is such a great location! It has everything you might need including bars, restaurants, a bank, grocery store, gym and laundry mat all within walking distance. Bigham Tavern and Nikos Cafe are my 2 favorites.
What makes this property unique
Parking can be quite scarce throughout the city, but I have my own 2 spots conveniently behind the house. It is also just off of the street with just 1 step to get inside. I try to provide things that I myself look for when I am travelling.
