Kingfisher House is perfect for those looking to get away and enjoy a peaceful and private beachfront holiday. Situated on the beach side of Kingfisher Parade, the beach is almost at your door with only a short stroll through the trees taking you to what feels like your own private section of sand! This home is ideal for couples or families, with a park nearby for the kids. There is a designated beach access at the park.

Toogoom is a sleepy fishing village within easy access of Hervey Bay (only 10 klms). Come up stay during the months of July to October and join the many boat tours from Hervey Bay to watch the Humpback Whales migrating.
Bring your own boat, there is plenty of room and the boat ramp is just down the end of the street. Fishing and crabbing are great pastimes in the calm waters of the bay as we are protected by Fraser Island.

Don't forget to bring your furbabies,
The house has a fully fenced huge yard for them to play in and Toogoom beach is a great place for your family dog to have a play. Best time is mid tide, there are great gutters for them to play in and sometimes you may be the only ones of the beach with kilometres of beach to play on.

Toogoom has kilometres of beautiful white sandy beachfront, protected by Fraser Island we have calm gently rolling waves that make it perfect for swimming, boating, fishing, walking or simply relaxing in the sun.

We have 2 great Restaurants, Goodies and Salty Squid and the food from both is fantastic. Don't forget the local General store also do takeaway Fish and Chips and Hamburgers. I can vouch for how HUGE their hamburgers are :)

Great spot for an unwind with children. Park and beach right at the back door.

This was a very easy 2 night getaway. It had everything we needed, even with 3 busy kids. Great location if you're after peace and quiet. Our family happily ate at the local restaurant only a few kms down the road and shopped at the little grocery store near by.

Second time at this getaway there will most definitely be more, very clean with everything that is needed for a long or short stay. 30 seconds to the beach where my dogs can run and swim and be dogs. Cannot rate this property high enough 😊

Great dog friendly home close to beach

This is our second stay at this home as it is a great spot to relax with your family/friends and puppies. Tons of yard space for the dogs and a two minute walk from the back gate to the off leash dog beach (just make sure you know the timed and 24 hr off leash areas). The home is very open, modern and has everything you need so you never have to get in your car. Definitely recommend if you want a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city or even those busy touristy areas.

Great family and furbaby home

This property is amazing with so much room, 4 great bedrooms, great indoor entertaining space but the best is the outdoor space which is great for humans and pets. the yard is huge and so close to the beach which is great for long walks with or without your dog and feels like you own it as there are always very few others on the beach. Great place to get away from the hussle and bussle.

So relaxing...

We loved this holiday house, it was perfect for our group of 4 friends. Great floor plan, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and beautiful deck out the front overlooking the bush path to the beach. Great communication with Mark, clear check in and check out instructions. We'd love to come back again and in fact checked while we were staying to see if we could extend our trip by an extra day to continue our relaxing stay at Toogoom.

Our Hosts Mark and Julie were superb, very accommodating and helpful. The house was well equipped and modern. The kitchen was a dream to cook in with the modern appliances. The front and back steps could use a handrail, but they are quite manageable. I will defiantly be booking it again. Thank you both so much.

This is the second time I have stayed at Kingfisher house. It is a beautiful home, clean and comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with every appliance and item you will require, blankets for comfort during cooler weather and aircon and fans for warmer days and evenings. The beds are comfortable and the view from the two front bedrooms are a pleasure to wake up to. Julie is lovely to deal with and communication is excellent. As yet, I haven’t taken my dogs on either stay but each time I have promised myself to bring them next time - they would absolutely love time running at the beach and then resting on the back deck. It is a relaxing and rejuvenating break. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our little getaway at Kingfisher House & am already looking forward to our next visit. Being able to bring our beach loving furbaby with us was an added bonus of our stay. The hosts were absolutely wonderful & so lovely to deal with. Location was spot on & the relaxing environment was just what we needed. Toogoom is such a lovely place to unwind! Cleanest property we have ever stayed in

My wife and I and our Rhodesian ridgeback x Irish wolfhound had a great stay. Our dog loved the beach when the tide was out. All crockery and cutlery we spotless. Often we have to wash them before use. We had a fabulous holiday and definitely will be back.

Absolute relaxation.

This property is just perfect. Shady backdeck, ocean glimpses, beautiful breeze, just perfect. House is the perfect layout with all bedrooms private. Kitchen has everything. 2 min walk to a beautiful beach. Not really a swimming beach but you can have a dip.
